In case anyone didn't know, Mega Evolving hurts most pokemon. A couple examples being how Garchomp's wings/blades melt together, Aerodactl's bones burst out of it's body, Tyranitar's back literally splits open, a crystal bursts out of Steelix's chest and the shrapnel of its body floats around it, or how Houndoom and Scizor literally melt if they keep their mega forms active for too long.
Tbf, a lot of the violent entries came about because the devs for Sun and Moon literally didn't like megas and wanted to demonize them. A less meta reason/theary could be that mega evo is only painful if it's done without having a strong bond.

Aw you didn't watch past the Patreon supporter name in to video to watch the post credits scene. You always want to check for a post credit scene from Terminalmontage. In this one you see where Mega Gangar sent all the Pokemon he threw into his portal.

Thanks to that video, I will never forget Mega Pinser and just how under rated it was. Stab boosted, Airialate boosted, Quick Attack access to a enormous amount of Other Normal Type Moves as well as Bug, Fighting, Rock, and Ground Type Moves is awesome. And Mega Absol and Mega Beedrill were awesome. Everyone seems to forget about Magic Bounce on Mega Absol and while not the strongest Mega, it's pretty solid and was an absolute improvement. And Mega Beedrill having Adaptability was great. Especially with just about every Bug and Poison Type move as well as getting boosts from Fell Stinger and access to a few other Types of rare and high power moves like Drill Run and Outrage. Hopefully someday this battle mechanic will come back and continue to give new life to older Pokémon and finally unlock the true potential of weaker Pokémon who desperately need some attention. And hopefully some more Pokémon will get Mega Evolutions from Gen 5 onwards. Because the way that was handled was stupid. Your telling me you gave the one Unova Pokémon a Mega Evolution and it Audino but not something that really needed it like Liepard or Watchog or Cryogonal or Drudagon. But I do have a lot more respect for Mega Audino thanks to this video. It was certainly hilarious that Jeremy brought up the MOST BROKEN TCG MEGA POKÉMON CARD THAT WAS BANNED! And at least Basculine (of all things) got something recently.

I liked the accuracy to how megas are so morally messed up. I hate megas for how they are literally just small, crystalized Chernobyls that destroy the pokemon holding the mega stones. They melt the pokemon, rip them apart with huge protrusions coming out of them, like rocks, spikes, or breaking their jaws like Glalie. I wish Gamefreak didn't make them that way. And a lot of them wind up harming and even killing their own trainers, so it contradicts the literal point of megas, "The bond between trainer and pokemon." At least dynamaxes don't inherently destroy the pokemon itself. Also, I didn't like the whole Gardevoir scene. I don't care about the whole "women empowerment" crud. Males and females are anatomically different. Females were literally made perfectly to produce offspring and almost always have maternal and caring instincts whilst men were built for physical labor and defense. One is not better than the other, but I hate how feminists think, "Women can do anything a man can do" because anatomically, scientifically, and factually they cannot. The same goes for men, they cannot do a lot of things that women can do. Stop trying to mesh genders into one thing, they are different yet equal.
There is this factoid. You actually don't need a strong bond to Mega Evolve a Pokémon. The Volcanion movie has the villain wielding a super-strong Key Stone that can force Pokémon to Mega Evolve. In this case, we know that Pokémon also don't need their Mega Stones to mega evolve. So it is implied that Rotom (the dex) is explaining that when a wild Pokémon mega evolves, this happens. Sounds about right since none of these Pokémon have a trainer. A strong bond is required to negate these effects and pain. Doing whatever it takes to win, and that's what most Megas are used as nowadays: A last resort to make one stronger (at least the anime).
@@raymaikeru the strong bond doesn't negate the pain, and you can't really use movies' évents because they doesn't really respect the pokémon lore (Kyurem being able to turn white or black as he wants is impossible without Zekrom or Reshiram) Pokemon needs mega stones to evolve because the stones are the remnants of the weapon Az used, the stones are the crystallisation of pokémon energy.(theory terrain here) And I think that's why the pokemon suffers when they mega evolve. Their body is unable to keep up this amount of energy. However, for the bound you're not wrong, it is not necessary technically. I think it "require" a strong bond because the pokemon is then willing to mega evolve despite de risks
