It was two days before my birthday in 1989 when I got a call from Yusef's neighbor Elombe Brath. He said some boys from his building had been arrested. I went to all the rallies in support of these young men and only God could have made this day possible.
The linchpin of this case hung on the case of Korey Wise, he went to the parole board many times and declared his innocence, and was denied parole. Had he decided to admit to the crime, these young men would still be home by now, but would have had to report as sexual offenders for the rest of their lives. I have been praying for these men since day one, and my prayers have been answered, abundantly! God is good!

Forgiveness doesn't mean that justice shouldn't be carried out. Forgiveness is for your own soul, to retain your sanity, to live your life without toxicity.
