You can also dissolve aluminium by reacting it with HCL. The colour of the product would be similar. You can store the hydrogen gas released by it or you can put fire on it. The temperature also rises Reaction 2Al(s)+6HCL(l) ----->2 AlCl3 + 3H2(g)
