Hey GBall, it's on washers! The Parrot is a solid little edc. They occasionally can be bought for under $20. I picked one up from blade hq a couple of years ago for $17. Solid beater that is better than most cheap knives. Mine has a bit of pivot lash, but it locks up very solidly. QSP in general is underrated, sure they have some very popular models, like the Penguin and the Hedgehog, but they're not held in the same regard as Kansept, Bestech, Kizer, Reate, Rike, ect. They seem to be getting better every year, and they are making a splash in the OEM market. The competition in the $20-$150 range is insane, it's a great time to be a knife nut! Today I carried a Bestech Vigil and a Kizer Urban Bowie.
Straight up ingot D2 will smash all up on 14c28n in all aspects except corrosion resistance , there is a reason Dr. Larrin Thomas classified it in the same class as S35vn for edge retention and other aspects of blade steel.
@@GBall_Vision depends where you look some places say as tough some say tougher and thats ingot you start talking about cryo and cpm and its tougher , never said D2 was more corrosion resistant I said I dont care at all to oil my blades.
I won a QSP Parrot (shout out to @Loot-10-Tex) and it's a very solid little knife. Mine's in black G10. I will say, the detent is perfect, making it so it really pops out with ease. Great little work knife. Thanks for sharing
I really like QSP. I have a mini penguin in denim micarta and the Knifecenter full size Penguin in S35VN. That one is a hell of a deal for $65 given the blade steel and the gmascus scales. Liner lock too. They are both fantastic though!
I just can’t get myself to enjoy budget knives anymore. After moving my way up through Hinderer, strider, mcnees and on up to Koenig and Holt, I just can’t backtrack anymore. I don’t get any joy out of them anymore which sucks. So many great designs and once they are in hand, I’m immediately bored.
@@GBall_Vision I DO have to say, Kunwu has really surprised me. The padre actually reminds me of my SmF, oddly enough. Lock up feels and sounds almost identical. Action is similar which is weird but I’m not complaining. It just feels like a solid user. I’ll probably collect each of their non-cross bar lock models.
Idk about the majority, but definitely the elders of the community. You have to think about how many new people show up everyday to knives. My general point is 99% of content creators are so focused on what is new and what is coming and that is fine, but a lot of good knives. Great knives get forgotten about in the process, that's why I've been doing that series about knives. Knives you have forgotten for all the new people who weren't around one month. 2 months 3 months, 6 months a year ago 2 years ago I tried to bring older knives back around cuz nobody else does

Don't mind d2 at all
The earlier version of this knife was on washers but they have switched to bearings.
Thanks my brothers
Oh man, you got me all excited about this, and then when I go to the description, no link! C'moooooooonnn...

D2 isn't tougher than 14c brother or more corrosion resistant. Has better edge retention though for sure

Completely agree 💯💯💯
So I am carrying a Kizer Sparrow, a Bestech Tulip, and a foldable scalpel that has a liner lock and flipper tab and "jade" G10 scales.
Great carry 🔥🔥🔥
I don't own a QSP but I like several of their models. Carrying the Kizer Original XL carbon twill. Nice light carry
Great carry 🔥🔥
really nice knife
This V2 of the Parrot has ball bearings. The older V1 had washers. You can put a $5 Civivi pocket clip on it and make it deep-carry. Cheers!!
Thanks brother

My hypothesis is that the Parrot is just too plain and sensible for the majority of the knife community
