She immediately ran for the rural farms for fewer zombies, joined the crowbar gang, survived the helicopter event, got a car, and drove to West Point, the highest zombie-density city that you can spawn in. besides constantly fighting while exerted/over encombered/tired, setting a gaol for one day is an extreme underestimation
There are also a lot of things that make no sense whatsoever. But honestly? Yes, it is an incredibly cool game once you understand it and start to vibe.
It's definitely fairly unique and I love it for that. But everything takes forever in that game, basic necessities like knives/forks and simple implements are far too scarce, inventory management is awkward and there's various weird hiccups in leveling skills that require a detailed read of the wiki that put me off. Then I watch someone else's playthough and I just love watching them fall through the same problems I did and invariably they achieve X10 more than I ever managed in a similar time frame. I guess having a live chat is like playing with the wiki actively talking you through the problems. Even if some chats are trollish sometimes they're a net positive for learning the basics of most games imo.

@@Plankstv I highly doubt it, it's a difficult game and quite punishing i just don't see them really playing it more than a stream here or there. This stream was also 2 years ago and no one else has played it since so there doesn't seem to be any interest. But hey i would love to be proven wrong.

Unfortunately I don't think anyone else in hololive has gave it a shot yet. (edit: Just did a quick search, looks like Jurard from Holostars EN streamed it a few times too, but as far as I can see only Botan has tried it on the girls side.)

@@TheUglyFish I could imagine the ID girls playing Project Zomboid, seeing Kaela and others recently got hooked on Don't Starve Together which is less hardcore but challenging game nonetheless. The only thing with Project Zomboid is that it's pure sandbox which makes the feeling of progression hard to grasp. For me, I try to make an effort and reach Louisville and try to survive along the way.(I've failed every time)

I agree but mods are VERY problematic for Holo. It's like a multi-stage permission thing, so unless they set up a server for multiple talents to stream in like they do 7 Days or Minecraft or ARK, it's usually not worth the hassle.

It's doubtful. This has been years ago when mindsets were different. Now Botan has embarked on the Street Fighter train like she's doing the Lisbon-Vladivostok circuit, and none of the other Holomems (except _maybe_ Kaela) have the profile to play PZ.

@@GoodOleDFT I doubt it. Zomboid is has a really high barrier to entry imo. There's so many moving parts to it that unless the girls get invested, it'd be hard to enjoy. In contrast to GTA or Minecraft, there's nothing "fun" about Zomboid other than the survival aspect. There's no goofy shenanigans, there's basically no building or crafting unless you get super invested and made significant progress in a character. There's a severe lack of quality of life stuff despite how complex the game is. Many mechanics are not intuitive and/ or not knowable without mods. And because modding would make the game much more approachable, they'll have to go through a lot just to get permissions for mods if they want to go that route. It was a blast watching Vesper play Zomboid but he was already super into the game from the getgo. Getting brand new players invested in this game would be a stretch. They might be willing to learn and try it out but I doubt many will get hooked on the gameplay loop.
Watched this years ago live, I hope she creates a server and invite members to play....this has a bit of learning curve though, so other members might have a hard time.
It would be really nice if any of the hologirls play Zomboid. I know the isometric look + graphics turns people away but God damn it is so fun especially with a group if yer just starting! With it having VC and all that--it just screams content haha Also for Botan's first time playing--she did amazing damn! I remember me just being lost with my friend in the town haha!
