She did different voice acrobatics in her performances Goodness! She came from the high note to low and was still in tune. This kid is from the real heavens.
You really need to also see her other performances and her back story which will hit you. This child 5 years ago was dying from kidney failure, after being on full life support for some time, 80 days in hospital and 18 months on dialysis she finally was saved when they managed to match her mothers kidney to her and carried out a transplant. Within a month of leaving hospital she was singing at a charity event. She is a walking beautiful miracle, how can anyone not absolutely adore her.
The more times you listen to it the more nuances you hear, it really was a good performance. I think she was singing to her fans. So glad she get to sing again, hope she sings a Whitney Houston song, it would be so appropriate after her addition and she is good at Whitney

Angelica is a walking miracle. She had double pneumonia when she was 4 years old. She developed sepsis in her lungs, a dangerous infection. Her lungs were bleeding and her kidneys failed. She went into a coma and she was on life support. Her mother gave her a kidney. Angelica and her mother only have one kidney. Angelica has an Amazing God-Given Gift. She also lost lung capacity and (medically) shouldn't be able to sing with such power. Angelica turned Without You into a Power Ballad with all her health challenges. She still has to take a lot of meds to keep her body from rejecting the kidney. I am amazed!!!!!!! She travels all over the country raising money for Children's hospitals. She is giving part of her winnings to the hospital charity she raises money for....... because of the great care they gave her. God was with Angelica'a mom during the pregnancy with her little sister because of the stain pregnancy can put on a woman' kidneys and she only has 1. Angelica is so humble, so sweet, and so awesome. Simply Amazing. I believe Darcy or Mandy could win this and it will be well deserved. But, my heart is for Angelica. I would love to see her win. So deserved. The more you listen, the more you fall in love with the song. Each time I heard nuances I didn't hear initially. She had some powerful beautiful moments in the song. Did she take a risk? Yes. But, that is part of what makes this newly 10 year old so amazing. The more you listen to the song and her rendition, the more you love it. I see why she allowed the song to build up rather than beginning in power mode. She has enough maturity, gifting, vocal control, and mastery to take us on a journey with her vocally to higher and greater plateaus. The soft runs at the end were breathtaking. I am so godly proud of Angelica.
Actually, there are those, and I am one, who tire quickly of singers doing vocal calisthenics done not in the name of music but more as a means of demonstrating what they can do. When Brahms wrote his variations on a theme by Handel, the first thing done was to accurately portray the theme by Handel, then the variations that follows were clearly linked, and respectful, of the original. Darci tends to sing more in the traditional manner, respectful of the composer's intentions, which to my ears is more appealing. The fact that there are numerous talent show for singers may be use in part as evidence that there is much more competition to find a place in the singing pantheon than there is for ventriloquists. There may be no other person on the planet who can do what Darci does as well as she does. I fear the same cannot be said for what Angelica does.
