2 years ago GT's E3 coverage was on a building's rooftop with fancy live studio equipments, and 2 years later they can only stream it in a room with no windows on Twitch... What happened...
+Mikuru Sunny GT got sold to Defy Media in June 2014 (during E3 coincidentally), and a lot of the staff was let go. I'm sure their budget for equipment was cut too. I actually prefer the Twitch shows personally as they are less scripted, more intimate in a way.
It's funny that later Kyle said he got a new suit just for this live appearance and that he "did a bad job." I think he did an exceptional job! Although I will admit that if someone tuned in right as he was doing his "Nintendo Elephant" impression, it was probably very weird and confusing for anyone not familiar with that bit.
@ Mychael Darklighter Art is very much a commodity. And the rise and fall of styles has completely relied on the preferences of consumers who want to own (or otherwise support) such styles. When he says they have to listen to us, he means, they can't use flagrantly anti-consumer practices and ignore the tidal waves of backlash that result from that.
I love the Final Bosman show! I've seen every episode and want more from this guy! He just says what we're all saying and doesn't give us BS! Keep it up Kyle! Also, you should have a quest to find the biggest desk because you are never satisfied. May you drag your giant sword through the whole planet to find the biggest or best desk. Possibly made of gold?
It is true, Nintendo played it super, super safe this time, not only by "not showing up" to the party, but by showing the same old, same old. Don't get me wrong, the games, even though it's not "OMG next gen graphics", it is clear their games are well made, they care about the details, and they are focused on just being fun. I'm not a huge nintendo fan, but I do appreciate the new Smash Bros, the new Mario Kart, cause it's just fun, even though I get that feeling I played that thing before..
It's a good critique but Nintendo is what it is. A bunch of insane game makers in love with fun. They probably don't know how important they are. If you watch even a few shigsy videos, you see it's pretty clear they live on a completely different planet. I love them for that. I
It wasn't Nintendo's fault that the stream had problems. Why not just talk about the direct that got immediately uploaded to youtube because Nintendo realized there was a problem? Such a waste to complain about a technical error, especially when both Sony and microsoft had errors at their conferences
No - they are billion dollar company making of profit and should be able provide flawless service - period. No questions ask - they should just deliver.
Nintendo did a good Job! We shall see what the future holds! I know for sure that every game announce by Nintendo is a masterpiece already! Nintendo won E3!
I don't get this "game companies will have to listen to US more" attitude. Either games are art, in which case what the audience wants doesn't mean shit, or they are a commodity, in which case the consumer votes with their wallet, so to speak. You are not owed anything beyond what you pay for.
