You dont need the app to take a double exposure photo. Press (and hold) the red button. Turn the camera off, while hiding doen the red button. Now the picture has been exposed one time, and remains inside the camera. Then let go of the red button. Turn on the camera, then press the red button again and release. Now the photo has been exposed to light for the second time and since you now released it, it will come out.
Polaroid originals is doing really well with all these new cameras, it's great to see instant film regaining some popularity. Fantastic photos and video
My insta is messed up rn so if you wanna see the photos go to @wheresjd instead. So far I'm really into this new polaroid, especially with the self-timer/portrait lens feature. Like I said I'll do a more in-depth vid on that and the double exposure later on. Thanks for watching
You can double expose on the regular one step 2 :) you just hold down the capture button and then turn the camera off. When you turn it back on, you can take another photo and get a double exposure.
I would love to see how this new Polaroid stacks up to the old Polaroid cameras. I own a lot of the old ones but always thought the quality is either the same or were better. That’s what has stopped me from buying the new models.
honestly the quality is similar, but with i-Type film i think the colors/exposure are more accurate than old SX-70 film or even 600. Plus it's slightly cheaper so that's nice
You can do double exposures with the one step 2. You just have to turn the camera off before ejecting the film, which occurs when you release the shutter button.
i wonder if you took part one of these polaroids and modded the board it to take different lens or a usb card reader. 8 photos for 20 euros as much as i think its cool to shoot old style photos its an expensive hobbie
Did you adjust the exposure on the cameras when you changed areas (darker vs brighter areas)or did you just pointed and snapped? (mainly speaking to the plus)
It’s strange! So I use the portrait mode within the app and it says I’m at a good distance but saying it’s to dark. It’s telling me to use a tripod, I don’t have one sadly. Will I still get the desire portrait or will my camera just take a regular photo?
Hello JD, when you switch to the portrait lens, do you immediately see a close up view? When i switch from one lens to another I don't see any difference.
Thanks for the video, what’s your opinion about the quality of the final development of the images? saturation?, contrast?, washed out or not?, Is the film getting better?, last few packs I purchased, the quality was sub par, that was a year ago. Cheers, thanks again for taking the time to shoot the video
I think the quality has improved - in my next video I use SX70 film and it's a bit softer and washed out compared to my iType film. Whether that means it's better or worse is really up to your style
Hey JD , im from colombia , i recently bougth the one step plus , may i ask you , how can i scan the photo perfectly ? With a scanner ? Nice review i would follow you
My one step plus took 1 photo and it came out, I tried taking more and the film never ejected??? Help:( I don’t wanna waste anymore film because it’s so expensive
Tbh I stopped using portrait mode completely, the focal distance is too specific for me to try and guess and waste expensive Polaroid film - suggest always using the infinite focus over a foot distance
that manual app button thing... they messed that up with their first camera, the impossible i1 too. due to it's weird shape you could hold a phone to the back and do it that way.
theres actually a double exposure hack. you dont need the app. you turn off the camera while holding the flash button and it wont shoot out the picture. turn it on and it wont shoot it out. and you can shoot your second shot on it.
You can actually do the double exposure with the camera itself. When you press the shutter, don't let go of the shutter button & turn the camera off at the same time. For the second exposure, turn the camera on & take your photo. Try it for yourself.
Amazing. Thank God for His love, mercy, protection, and creations, and thank God during the highs and lows and God bless you and all of us in Jesus Christ’s King of all kings blood that was shed and name we pray amen. 😊 Fantastica. Gracias a Dios por El amor, misercodia, proteccion, y creaciones, y gracias a Dios todo los dias mala o bueno y vayan con Dios a todos y yo en el sangre y nombre de Cristo Jesus Rey de reys amen.😊
Fire my dood. That double exposure was so clean
thnx man 👊

he is perfect for the channel
I think the camera is worth it just for the double exposure capabilities! That was the best shot
thanks - i agree it gives you a lot to play with

Great stuff mate! You've made me want a new polaroid now!
appreciate it - definitely grab one of these they're useful
You can do double exposures with the one step 2. You just have to turn the camera off before ejecting the film, which occurs when you release the shutter button.
thnx! didn't know that but kinda easier on the new one
wow i really love this space it's so cool
do you think it's worth it to upgrade then? awesome video i really luv how you posed him
if you really want the extra lens/features then yes - if you're just using it as a polaroid to take friends photos maybe not
Y’all seem chill to hang with, wish I had access to an art studio like that
Very nice! Did you adjust the light exposure at all?
thanks for this vid! super pleasant to watch💓
Really liked the format of this review! It was very helpful thanks!

Generally just point and snap I only use exposure control for backlight subjects or if I know the light is too strong
@@JoshDavid thanks! Keep up the good content.
When the photos were printed, are they grainy? Because that’s what I really like about film photos compare to digital :)
It’s strange! So I use the portrait mode within the app and it says I’m at a good distance but saying it’s to dark. It’s telling me to use a tripod, I don’t have one sadly. Will I still get the desire portrait or will my camera just take a regular photo?
Unreal photos dude!
thanks!
Is the viewfinder 100% coverage of the actual photo??
You are also able to do double exposure without the app. You dont need the app to do it. Awesome video!
How?
Hello JD, when you switch to the portrait lens, do you immediately see a close up view? When i switch from one lens to another I don't see any difference.
Can you please comment on manual mode? Thx. Doesn’t it make a difference on quality of picture?
If it helps you get a better exposure yes, otherwise same same
great in depth review man ! keep it going ++ i like how you type “i” the same i do , ha ! 🤘🏼

Great, nice to know the quality has improved, thanks for the reply, cheers
Etti's got an atti... damn.
With the one step + are you able to take photos without the app?
yes - the app just adds extra features to shooting
of course! it wouldn’t be an instant camera then 🤣
I love your photography! cool vid too
Hey JD , im from colombia , i recently bougth the one step plus , may i ask you , how can i scan the photo perfectly ? With a scanner ? Nice review i would follow you
i'd suggest using a flatbed scanner like the epson v550
BRO ur killing it
what exposure (+/-) did you used ? i'm always confused with that
Are they the same camera then or did they update the lens??
they just added the portrait lens
Sharon Leonara p
damn I love these new trendy polaroid cameras... if only they weren't that damn expensive haha
Best video on this channel
⛽️
Is it possible to take a photo and preview (and maybe edit?) the picture in the app before you choose to print it? If so, how?
no way
Those pictures were definitely brofist worthy. 🖒2 thumbs up🖒for sure dude 📸
My one step plus took 1 photo and it came out, I tried taking more and the film never ejected??? Help:( I don’t wanna waste anymore film because it’s so expensive
All my polaroid pictures come out dark no matter what really. Flash double exposure etc does anynone know how to fix this.
how about that video going through the portrait mode? I bet you're pretty used to it now!
Tbh I stopped using portrait mode completely, the focal distance is too specific for me to try and guess and waste expensive Polaroid film - suggest always using the infinite focus over a foot distance
@@JoshDavid Haha okay. Sounds like me with the holga so I can understand that.
iguess the price difference is worth it to get the onestepplus
that manual app button thing... they messed that up with their first camera, the impossible i1 too. due to it's weird shape you could hold a phone to the back and do it that way.
Can i use is just fine without the app? Im getting it for my grandma and she doesn’t have a cell phone.
Absolutely not!! It will explode and kill her even if she try’s it just once 🔥💥
Nice job. Really helpful
Ty

try double expos hack
hold the shutter then off the camera, leave your shutter then turn back on, then shoot again
Is that the old technique people were doing it back then?
Older Polaroids had a close up lens too.
The older Polaroids with Autofocus took the sharpest photos.
Etti is hilarious wtf
i got into the same situation when using double exposure...just press it twice then quit
You can actually do the double exposure with the camera itself. When you press the shutter, don't let go of the shutter button & turn the camera off at the same time. For the second exposure, turn the camera on & take your photo. Try it for yourself.
4:12 "Also I made this beat in 9 min" uhhhh... cool?
it is cool!
love it
