    Fire my dood. That double exposure was so clean

  • @laurencewhite4809

    You dont need the app to take a double exposure photo. Press (and hold) the red button. Turn the camera off, while hiding doen the red button. Now the picture has been exposed one time, and remains inside the camera. Then let go of the red button. Turn on the camera, then press the red button again and release. Now the photo has been exposed to light for the second time and since you now released it, it will come out.

    Polaroid originals is doing really well with all these new cameras, it's great to see instant film regaining some popularity. Fantastic photos and video

    My insta is messed up rn so if you wanna see the photos go to @wheresjd instead.
    So far I'm really into this new polaroid, especially with the self-timer/portrait lens feature. Like I said I'll do a more in-depth vid on that and the double exposure later on.
    Thanks for watching

    I think the camera is worth it just for the double exposure capabilities! That was the best shot

      You can double expose on the regular one step 2 :) you just hold down the capture button and then turn the camera off. When you turn it back on, you can take another photo and get a double exposure.

    I would love to see how this new Polaroid stacks up to the old Polaroid cameras. I own a lot of the old ones but always thought the quality is either the same or were better. That’s what has stopped me from buying the new models.

    • @JoshDavid
      @JoshDavid  6 лет назад +3

      honestly the quality is similar, but with i-Type film i think the colors/exposure are more accurate than old SX-70 film or even 600. Plus it's slightly cheaper so that's nice

    You can do double exposures with the one step 2. You just have to turn the camera off before ejecting the film, which occurs when you release the shutter button.

    i wonder if you took part one of these polaroids and modded the board it to take different lens or a usb card reader. 8 photos for 20 euros as much as i think its cool to shoot old style photos its an expensive hobbie

  • @kyleadjackson

    Did you adjust the exposure on the cameras when you changed areas (darker vs brighter areas)or did you just pointed and snapped? (mainly speaking to the plus)

    • @JoshDavid
      @JoshDavid  3 года назад +2

      Generally just point and snap I only use exposure control for backlight subjects or if I know the light is too strong

    It’s strange! So I use the portrait mode within the app and it says I’m at a good distance but saying it’s to dark. It’s telling me to use a tripod, I don’t have one sadly. Will I still get the desire portrait or will my camera just take a regular photo?

    Thanks for the video, what’s your opinion about the quality of the final development of the images? saturation?, contrast?, washed out or not?, Is the film getting better?, last few packs I purchased, the quality was sub par, that was a year ago. Cheers, thanks again for taking the time to shoot the video

    • @JoshDavid
      @JoshDavid  5 лет назад +1

      I think the quality has improved - in my next video I use SX70 film and it's a bit softer and washed out compared to my iType film. Whether that means it's better or worse is really up to your style

    theres actually a double exposure hack. you dont need the app. you turn off the camera while holding the flash button and it wont shoot out the picture. turn it on and it wont shoot it out. and you can shoot your second shot on it.

    hold the shutter then off the camera, leave your shutter then turn back on, then shoot again

  • @unicarnija7557
    @unicarnija7557 5 лет назад

    You can actually do the double exposure with the camera itself. When you press the shutter, don't let go of the shutter button & turn the camera off at the same time. For the second exposure, turn the camera on & take your photo. Try it for yourself.
