    Hi great video, congrats!
I have a question andI hope you can solve it. I use Logic Pro X as my DAW and I bought the Presonus Faderport 2 mainly for automation purposes. Now, everytime I want to use it to write my Expression (or other features either on 'region' or 'track') it switches automatically to 'Volume' the moment I merely touch the fader. Is that my setup problem? Thanks.

Question: Are you sure the plugins mentioned come bundled with the Faderport2? Cause I got it and registered it and none of those appeared in my account.
Apart from this: Great review! You had some terminology incorrect (Inspector, Editor and Browser) but it was clear what you meant.

Would you know if you can use the Faderport if you have the StudioLive mixer interfaced with Studio One. I find it a little tedious reaching over the Presonus 32S mixer for the DAW transport controls. I thought this Faderport might be more user friendly, but not sure you can use the mixer and Faderport together. Thanks.

Hi Phil, that's a good question. I don't have both so can't give you a definitive answer but I've had a faderport running in conjunction with a midi controller with shuttle controls etc and both worked fine so I would take an educated guess at yes but I'd definitely approach Presonus with that question before buying bud.

@@realhomestudioofficial Thanks for your reply. Appreciated. I will reach out to Presonus. I am guessing also it will work, but doesn't hurt to be sure before I buy one...
Sound's like you're real happy with it based on your video and answer just now. I do like the Presonus mixer DAW controller, but reaching across the mixer all the time is somewhat tedious. Also, I wish Presonus would redesign the REWIND button to actually rewind and not RTZ. In order to rewind I need to hit Shift and Rewind and the same and for Fast forward, I need to hit Shift and Play together.
Being an old school engineer, it is not as user friendly as dedicated buttons for each command. Thanks!

@@uptownphotography Hey Phil, yeah I hear you! I grew up with cassette tape multitracks and consoles. From that perspective I'm really happy with the Faderport 2. It's shuttle controls feel really good and it's very responsive, much nicer for me than the classic. Almost a year on and no problems and I'm really used to it now and work fast. From what you've said I think you'll enjoy using it for sure.

@@realhomestudioofficial Thanks. Yes, I get you. I went from a 16 track 1 inch tape (30IPS or 15IPS) to an Alesis HD24XR digital 24 track hard disc recorder (still have that) to now Studio One 5 w/the 32S Presonus mixer. What a strange trip!... : )

    Hi,
    Real Home Studio.
    I need your help!!
I work in Studio One 5 and the NI Kontakt sampler with orchestral libraries from Spitfire, Cinematic Studio and VST synthesizers of orchestral instruments from SWAM. To work, I need to control the parameters of dynamic automation (Volume, Expression, Vibrato, etc.) during the live (performance) of a musical part. I am considering buying a Presonus Faderport 8, because it is equipped with motorized faders. This is what is required in my work.
I didn't find an answer to my question on the forum of the Presonus website.
Please help me. For convenience, I will state my questions on the points:
    1. Is it possible to link Presonus Classic faders (Faderport 8) to the volume, expression, vibrato parameters in each NI Kontakt orchestral library, so that they are constantly stored in memory for constant use?
    2. I will be glad if item 1 is possible! You could have suggested how to configure this in Studio One:)
    3. If points 1 and 2 are possible, will the Faderport 8 motorized feeders automatically connect to the already recorded dynamic automation settings?
Thank you in advance! I really hope for your help!!!

    • @realhomestudioofficial
      @realhomestudioofficial  3 года назад

Hi bud, I don't own the Faderport 8 but know that on Faderport the fader works solely as a track fader. The Faderport does however have a link option which enables you to adjust parameters within a plugin via the central control knob. Hope that helps.

I bought this because it says its a MIDI CONTROLLER... to find out it cannot control CC autonation like the faderport 8 or 16.. WTF presonus.. this is a basic function...
Now im stuck with a pointless fader fpr my orchesrral stuff...
People have ask since 2018 in the presonus forum for a update...and implementation and nobody even answered it..
Never again a presonus product for me.
