  • A video back to my roots.... I grew up in a family business and was a Butcher and Sausage maker. In todays video I am taking a Pork Leg (hind leg) (ham) and boning it out from start to finish.... It's been many years but somethings you never forget.... Come and watch... I don't expect you to be able to do this but it's always good knowing where things come from...

    I used to be a butcher myself 40 years ago, and could do all of this in just under 2 minutes. Now, I don't even know where to start anymore. BTW we cut our hams a little differently in my country. We follow the muscles (seams) and don't cut straight through them like you did when removing the femur.

      thanks so much for watching..... i am a little rusty as well and was much faster, but it's like riding a bike you never lose it 😀....... i know there are different ways people do this but this is how I was taught..... i just love doing this..... thanks again,,,,,,

      not that much really.... they just had them on sale at Fortino's and they were averaging around $45,, not bad and you end up with a lot of meat.... but yes you have to know a little to take it apart yourself,,,, or just pay a friend to do it for you...lol

I know, music is such a personal thing... i don't always add it to my videos but when I do, I try to keep it just in the background... i'm always experimenting with my editing ... I call it a work in progress and constant change...lol.... but I always value peoples suggestions and comments and listen.......
