I stopped both readings before you started to talk us through just to see what I would make of it and it worked well :D Everything slowly clicks into place. Still grateful for you sharing your experience (especially the idea of starting off with the Grand Tableau right from the beginning) - works so well for me! Very well explained. I usual read a line of five with a significator and the two cards on either side. Popping over to the nine card spread video now!

Lori Edwards I'm so glad you found it to be helpful, I'm editing a 9 card reading right now to upload. I struggled with how best to give some examples so that people can see how, as you so well put, to have a more easy relationship with reading versus getting to tied up in being so precise at the beginning. I don't mean to imply my way is the "right way," it's just another way to approach things! ~Kelly
If someone like myself is overly book learned, this video helps me to relax and look at it in a different perspective and I feel if someone is a brand new Lenormand reader and watch your videos they may approach it without having put so much stress on themselves and enjoy it and then later incorporate the books to their learning

Lori Edwards Exactly! It's not that I am opposed to deep knowledge, I am a deep researcher by nature and am a proponent of the more the merrier on information, but sometimes we need to just get the basics down and get into the water :D

It seemed like you were reading the cards much more like tarot than like Lenormand.
Thank you for this. Had a question re: an ex and whether or not his new relationship will be a success. Used this spread and the gentleman (sig. card) was on the top of the deck... so there were no future cards. To the left were the fox, then the mice. Does the fact that there were no cards ahead mean anything?

Loved your sample readings, especially the way you talk your way through them. I really liked the way you dealt out the six cards, 3 from the top, 3 from the bottom. I'm curious....do you use the 'shadow' card at all?
Brenda M. Hi Brenda, I'm glad you are enjoying the sample readings. I do not personally use shadow cards and from what I understand that is a fairly modern twist, though I could be wrong. I see that a lot like reversals in Tarot which I also don't use...it's not that I don't see the darker aspects of a card but I find those darker aspects built into the system from the negative cards themselves, from houses they fall in, the question, proximity to negative cards, pairings, and etc. Does that make sense?
Brenda M. PS that dealing from the top and the bottom on the six card was something I got from The Complete Lenormand by Caitlin Matthews, I really love that way of laying the cards as well!

In tarot, if a card drops out it is used because it maybe something spirit wants that person to know. Does lenomand work the same?
+Celestrial I think that completely depends on how you personally treat jumpers, sometimes I can tell it's just that I shuffled badly, sometimes I pay attention, I always put it back but I take note of the message, if that makes sense :)
