without exaggerating, prolly the best version ever done. all perfect, the bendings the staccato, the filling riffs... all of it. it's delicious to close the eyes and listen to every note dancing with every word. pity it wasn't released on the official album.
Agreed, like the other song of the anniversary concert Don't think twice it's all right is some of the best of her collapsed and play like the blues concert from the cradle tour my favorite
The only one that nailed it is Bob Dylan :) It amazes me how many artists tried to create covers of Dylan's songs... and nobody ever created anything more beautiful that the original songs themselves.
@@MassimilianoKraus Well, that I think is a matter of opinion. For instance Bob himself said that All Along The Watchtower is Jimi Hendrix song, although he wrote it.
Clapton sets his guitar tone just at the point of breaking up into distortion, so you hear the interplay of clean and distorted timbres combined with his great phrasing and fluidity.
I agree with you buddy it should be on the same album or the same concert like the blues concert from the from the cradle tour that is the best album since Derek the Domino's. Eric was in his prime in the early nineties, some of his best guitar work I think especially when he's playing the blues
Doesn't anyone have the video. I mean WTF Y'all. That's one of the top performances of the whole concert. With the inclusion of "Don't Think Twice" and My Back Pages it's a shame not to see it. I image that all things must past. It was a perfect time to relaunch Eric... He ain't God, but he ain't 2nd best either. Always knew exactly what to play.

Eric reinvents the wheel.... Who'da thunk it could be done to a classic. He made it the best it could be. Thanks again, Eric.... You're not God... But yer not too bad. Just a toe rag from Ripley. Thanks.
Great Live Cover of a great song. Jackson Browne's cover is also worth hearing and arguably the best although he has the advantages of having a great voice and doing it in the studio.
Eric & his black strat have once again laid out the world with such a ravishing tone!!! WOW! In the late 1960s, the subway walls in London said : Clapton is God!
EC was always timid and not confident as a singer in his early days. It was not till he hooked up Delaney Bramlett that he started to disvover and work on his vocals. DB pushed him to sing and gain confidence, as well as told him how great a voicr he had! As the 70s rolled on it got better and better, and EC developed into a fantastic singer.
@@thisisnothelloworld No excuse! You cant even say they only allowed 1 song per artist, as Petty and Young had 2. I thought this was the best song of the night!
It is absolutely criminal that this was excluded from the album of this concert

Best I have ever heard!
agreed.
Prolly because they don’t agree with you. None can be above Dylan’version.
Clapton's version of this great Dylan song is the apex. His guitar is singing so sweet it is candy to your ears.
Nobody can improvise a melody like Eric. The best guitarist on the planet. Been that way for over 50 years.
A lot of artists played this but Eric truly nailed it
MrDesiredylan
a lot more sang this? ! It takes guts let alone artistry. glad I miss alot.
The only one that nailed it is Bob Dylan :)

Listen to the space given in the band. You can hear everyone’s contributions. Clapton is a master.
Clapton sets his guitar tone just at the point of breaking up into distortion, so you hear the interplay of clean and distorted timbres combined with his great phrasing and fluidity.
Clapton does it again, beautiful! I am still awed by his talent
He always does Don’t Think Twice Its Alright, part of the same concert, he slays on it! Best two of hi career

@@philipbooe9253I agree completely except that you have to include 24 Nights. That version of Old Love might be the best solo ever recorded.
It seems Mr. Clapton has wonderful taste in music.
Two amazing Eric's guitar solo.

Fantastic. I saw this when it first came out, then found it on youtube and then it was gone. Glad it's back.
I couldn't agree more
Eric Clapton playing a Dylan classic.
How good can it get.
It is electric.
The power of Eric Clapton covering one of Bob Dylan's greatest songs.
Out of this world ❤️🎸❤️

EC, the master! Couldn't get any better!
That bass is killer too.
EC with only two numbers stole the show at the Dylan 30th.
Unreal-only 18 people commenting on Talent when you consider what the taste of music is today. Awesome guitar playing.
So true
VERSIONE SUPERLATIVA! ERIC supera se stesso negli assoli! Grande!
Eric played this in a different dimension
In the zone
A classic arrangement along with a truly spectacular band. It's as professional as it gets.

Holy shit that was good.
He was ridiculous that night
@@victorarena23 yes he was on fire that night. the two songs and the guitar break on the song at the end. 90s was his second great era.
Of all the songs he played that night, this is the one I wanted to see again on video. I cannot find it anywhere.
im glad this song is back on
nobody can beat this version in terms of live performance
Great soulfully and beautiful sounds
From the Bob Dylan “30th Anniversary Concert “
Marvelous cover I'd say.
Wonderfull Eric
brilliant cover from EC, two thumbs up ...
The best cover of that song. Priceless.
Het hele concert werd uitgezonden in Nederland fantastisch

Best thing Claptons, ever done but it was here on u tube then it was gone ?
Sensacional, muito bom
What I'd like to know is how did he become a better singer when he got old?

Uma bela versão desse clássico do Mr. Dylan
The master
Il primato di Eric Clapton sta nel fare assoli musicali la sua grandezza il suo primato sta lì
Hermosa!!!
God covering Dylan
My only question is why I’ve never seen him play this song anymore anywhere is there some kind of beef between him and Bob Dylan?
Jackson Browne & Leon Russel cover of this song are all good
It's gotta be Clapton or God on lead.
Is this slowed down a bit?
Nope
Love Chrissie Hyndes version
Why he never played it again?
Cause he has nothing to contribute?
How do you improve perfection?
