Man I was just there from June to Sep. I had to rush home cause my mom got sick. Now I'm stuck cause daughter is enrolled in School and my Wife started a new job. I might have to return with just my daughter in summertime for just a month or two. I really miss it!

Obviously not. 2 people behind me in line could also not vote because they are not in the list. The voting commission told me that is not the first time this has happened today. Either their voting list sucks or they are excluding people from the list intentionally.
Regardless, the elections are rigged anyway.

Congrats on voting! After the last administration in the US, which I did vote in, I will never forget that election night, I was in a food court downtown where a lot of international visitors were, also, and it was extremely embarrassing. Also other groups like minorities, I just hung out at the bar with their little TV and got and stayed drunk, and several people confided their fears to me and I commiserated. Since then I decided I will never miss an election again. I mean, I voted in 2016 but since then it's my rule that I'll work on Xmas and I'll work on New Year's Eve but if there's an election, any election, it's my national holiday and I'm taking the day off if needed to vote.
So of course I voted in '20, and it was funny because the virus thing was just getting started, and it was one immigrant, from Africa I believe, who helped me get on the right bus, and after voting (getting there and back took hours, actual voting took minutes) and it was another immigrant, an Eastern European, maybe even a Serb, driving a bus who, although the buses were no longer in service which I didn't know, picked me up and dropped me off where the buses were still running.
So by all means, vote. It's important! I've been following you for years now and if I ever find myself in Serbia, we'll have to sit down and have some beers and some *pea spread in a can* yes, I've been following you since that far back.
That is a very quaint little abode you had, you might just get lucky and get it back in September..

I was shocked to learn that in the US you actually had to REGISTER to vote? What the hell? Then, the fact that the elections are on a Tuesday, but you DON'T get a day off from work. Hmmm, guess who the establishment is discouraging from voting: the working poor. Then, when I saw how long the poll lines in the US are and that sometimes you have to wait for several hours. People here complain if they have to wait longer than half an hour.

I have lost the hope in the system, but that does not matter, because if we don't vote that just keeps people in the dark and uninformed. Even if the elections are rigged to some extent, go out vote and show that you are a member of this system, it's broken granted, but without people we can't fix it, if the elections won't work, people will rise.
Man I saw the list today and I was disappointed. Vucic, his satellites and 2 or 3 average parties. Nobody you can say would really bring changes, and make Serbia great again. Really sad political scene. All those people just want power and nobody really cares about the country and the people.
I placed blank paper in the box. I don't see viable alternative as the system is rigged against you. Sometimes I wish we are like N. Korea.

I received Honorary Citizenship from a very high-up in the Serb government for positive promotion of Serbia for the last 14 years.

@@shookaholic7246 I don't get it, you want to live in a country and want to be accepted you want citizenship, but fail to learn a language. It beats me your atitude and yes Serbians are failing also talking back to you in English. One thing you can do is look for decji program sprski jezik on RUclips so you will start at the very basic, like Sesame street does to get a vocabulary, also English movies with Serbian subs. Look for a local school you teach them English and they teach you Serbian win win. I left Serbia 46 years ago and managed to speak and write 5 language fairly easy. Nice way to learn a language is watching Serbian movies. Good luck.

Man it must be tiring searching for a new apartment every year. Have you thought about buying a property? There must be a cheap little house or a small apartment somewhere, and if you need more money you can always take a loan from the bank. You could renovate it the way you want and later when you don't need it anymore you can sell it for a better price.
Also you can rent it to some folks when you're in the USA, and use that money to pay off the loan.

Well i know that you Americans are pretty much do your civic duty vote paying taxes etc but to vote here in Serbia is blasphemy but nevertheless congratulations.
I will spend my birthday in Serbia, well two things might stop me if the world blows up, and covid restrictions, I am still not sure if my European vaccine passport is valid in Serbia, here in Sweden we do not have any restrictions anymore for anyone, i hope Serbia will remove restrictions, any Serbs here that know? D: I hope I can enter Serbia in July.
There's no restrictions related to COVID here in Serbia. No one give a shit about it. Haven't seen anyone wearing mask even in a while except few grandmas. Clubs work until morning, no masks required, let alone vaccine passport.

Huh I am not certain my friend, but things are becoming more laxed rn, nobody is wearing any masks anymore, most people have either had covid or been vaccianted, so yea, for now the situation is looking good.
I was just in Serbia a month ago. When they had restrictions after 8pm to get in a restaurant. Need a proof of vaccination that’s all. Besides that you are good 👍
@@markovujanic3195 I just read on the Serbian covid site, they list Eu and some other countries also in the Eu and some not in the Eu, but they do not list Sweden, they do list Denmark, they say you only need the covid vaccine passport, but also some countries are not in the list of accepted countries like Sweden is not in the list. And the official site is not updated since February. From what I can see.
