Welcome back Charles. Sadly that isnt expensive anymore, prices went to hell this year because of many Russians imigrating/escaping here. In belgrade 600 bucks is basically one of the lowest prices. Charles, they robbed you. 600eur plus expenses for that? That column near the entry door means that the owner has decided to demolish hallway walls. They left that concrete beam, because they couldn't demolish it. But the walls around it could have been structural walls. Idiot owners want to make 'studio apartment' experience in old apartments built in 60s-80s, and do that without asking experts or authorities, and they often demolish structural walls and put to danger lives and property of other occupants of the building. "industrial look" reeks on unfinished remodeling works. At some point someone said 'duck it'. We will go for "industrial look" Those 50+ year old wooden windows cry for replacement. .
And yeah, searching for new apartments could be hard navigating with countless websites but, it pays of... A little bit negotiation skills you can make conctract with land lord up to 50% if you ask for specific time period. For example you want to rent for next 6m or 1y? then they will be more open to change montly rent... It could be because youre forigner.....Could be...
No, I talked openly with the owner. She is very open to letting me keep my things in there and not paying for 5 months in the summer while I'm gone. She'll let me continue my monthly rent upon my return next Oct. It's fine for me and my budget. I know it's high, but all the cheaper options looked like absolute garbage.

Looks like we're partying at Charles' place I'll buy the booze. And people, this is not overpriced, this is the price of luxury apartments in Novi Sad these days, it's a normal price for the value.
$600 is way too much... You could buy yourself a house by now for all the months you paid for rents xd
True, but the market is high and it fits my budget perfectly. I'll have some properties soon.
@@ilovesrbija Nice to hear that, good luck brother
Yeah a house where, on a farm? Lol I think it's better to live in civilization 🤣
Nope, it is the worst time to buy a house, prices are crazy high. My apartment price went about 50% up compared to just a couple of years ago.
@@mrlds3202 look at the current state of the big cities in Serbia and other European/Western cities. Pollution, violent crime, overpopulation. I piss on your civilization!
Sorry, Gorenje is a Slovenian brand from Velenje (where I live). 🥰
Awesome!
I think that picture of the angel are from the Monastery of Mileseva. How many square meters has your apartment?
The owner lives in Prague ? Not too shabby, ey ? 😊
It's price , now.
It would have been about 400, year or two ago, but Russians moved here massively and price jumped up big time.
It's called Central heating. The painting is probably from monastery Milesheva. That one bedroom flat with so poor and small kitchen and bathroom is a rip off. Must be you rented it to be in touch with the landlord lady. Not worth more than 400$.
Awesomeeeeee
Get rid of the spots with half a lemon. 99% it's residue from our rather hard water.
Are you walking distance to pedestrian zone? Yeah its nice sure and there are some nice features I really thought the bathroom floor tiles were super fun and the kitchen has everything you might need but the place is tiny tiny and the rent is huge considering how tiny the apartment is with just a small bedroom and a bathroom sink in the entrance way. I really do not like the vanity in the entrance area she is lying. there was no room in the bathroom that is nonsense about the steam on the mirror. But if it makes you happy thats what matters. You should buy your own place there.
Bravo brate dobar apartman
Oh yes the solar powered dryers! We are "greener" then EU.
We have dryers, like single machine or combined with washer. Its not like Serbia dont have it xD just search it in any technology shop
No shit... They have them in Nigeria and all over, but it's not common. I have lived in 14 apartments and not one had one.
@@ilovesrbija jebiga xD In Novi Sad I had one as single machine (on top of a washer), in house its like a normal thing to have it too. I guess people forgot about it :D Bring back the dryers!!!
Ok, it is 600$ which seems too steep for that small space but if you don't pay while you're gone, then it's a good deal. What about bills while you're away? Do you still pay them or completely stop paying?
Yearly average will still be around 300-375 per month which is acceptable for this kind of apartment.
Glad you like it. Enjoy!
Браво За Тебе
Please where did you find an apartment
drago mi je da si dosao nazad, falio si nam
You have english school across street if you need! And cop's central station around corner...😉
Čarli my man..I must tease you a bit. You are Serbian now right? What would you do if military send you letter to fight for Serbia? :)
looks very very nice...it would be good if you had another bedroom, for example...then the price would be correct...but 600$ for this ? jesus
$600???? WAY TO MUCH for Novi Sad
Gorenje is not Serbian brand. I don't know why Serbian are buying it in the first place. There used to be a company in Serbia making appliances, Sever subotica, but it was destroyed when nato countries imposed sanctions on Serbia in 90s.
Honestly the price is insane, everything else is average
600$ yes as you said it is expensive. But charles my man with today standards you hit apartment on discount! There are people that target russians and IT people to get 1000e for rent and 1000e for deposit!
$1700 a month apartments in america look like this
🇷🇸❤️😍
Lil expensive for Serbia , do you know the average salary there ? Extremely affordable despite anything. If you are millionaire in the US you’ll live like a Billionaire in Serbia 100%.
Pavle 1000x difference ? No chance. Maybe 3-4x if you compare it with 400k city in the USA
Charles, they robbed you. 600eur plus expenses for that?
That column near the entry door means that the owner has decided to demolish hallway walls. They left that concrete beam, because they couldn't demolish it.
But the walls around it could have been structural walls.
Idiot owners want to make 'studio apartment' experience in old apartments built in 60s-80s, and do that without asking experts or authorities,
and they often demolish structural walls and put to danger lives and property of other occupants of the building.
"industrial look" reeks on unfinished remodeling works. At some point someone said 'duck it'. We will go for "industrial look"
Those 50+ year old wooden windows cry for replacement.
.
Its ok price.
You paying 600 a month is just contributing to the price hikes. Gentrification if you will...
You are free to pay whatever you like. The mass increase in wealthy Russians has pushed prices of cheapy, basic apartments up so take one
Did you buy an owned apartment last year? Then why are you renting and paying for an apartment now?
you got robed... Tbh depends on location but you got robed... And you could get brand new mashine for drying laundry for 300 $ dolars, euros whatever.
@@ilovesrbija So she will have that apartment empty without rent for 5 months?
Now that makes the price probably fair.
Čarls stan je prelep ali preskup bolje tu sumu daj mesečno za kredit i kupi stan u svoje vlasništvo.
This would be like 1000 in Novi Sad, with this set up. :'D
