Really like seeing DaoC vids like this :) Hibernia is my favourite realm, I'm going to start levelling up a druid there on Uthgard soon. Keep these videos up man! They're truly entertaining even for people that already know about this stuff.
Really a great guide. that ~13lvl group gap is a real pain in the kobold. I prefer MM to Connla, but I understand the preference. The proximity to TNN is just too good to pass up.
yeah being close to TNN certainly is a boon. I just think Connla is overall smoother and with the quests you usually end with around 20s so the ride is practically free compared to MM =)
Great video. Just a couple of recommendations. There is no need to go to TNN at 5 as the second level of trainers are at each starting town. At least Connla and Mag Mel. This saves a lot of time. Also, if you are in Connla and you still want to go to TNN, you can buy a ticket to Drum Ligen and type /dismount in front of Mag Mel. Running from mbeo is brutal in my opinion. Will cost most of your money at that point but saves time. Anyway, thanks for the video.
Nope there are no trainers in Mag Mell in Classic DAoC. Those came with the zone re-design in Catacombs. There are some trainers in Connla at the bridge in SE and the tower as well as Innis but not all of them. The only other places with all the trainers are Druim Cain and Grove of Domnann. The ticket to Druim Ligen costs 10 silver. Waste of money at that level. Running up from TnB takes 5 minutes tops. ;)
nice guides GZ for them saw you mid and now hib vid you never say something about fedex tastks did them with my bard when my grp was not aroud to get some XP and coin anyway awsome vids +1 sub +1 like have a nice day
I don't because fedex tasks are pretty damn awful time invested/xp gained wise. they should only be done if you can't kill blue mobs and that really is practically no class. Thanks for watching, mate =)
nice video helps alot but you makde one mistake, its way smarter to take a horse fromm connla to druim ligen and than jump when close to mag mell than running from mbeo^^
Hey @CloakingDonkey been loving your DAoC/CU videos. Just started playing the classic server last week, got a 17 chanter but struggling to find lower lvl groups right now. Any recommendations on soloing 15+?
tough level range. I'd try parthanans or dew sheeries. Parthanans you can find at the farms (east lough derg, NE connacht or just E of innis carthaig) dew sheeries are S of the parthanan farm in ELD. If you can find nothing suitable, you can always task the rest of the way to 20 =)
Consider removing or at least clarifying the crossover level for each range you describe. For example, Mag Mell you recommend tasking 1-10 and then Howth 10-12. So for level 10 are you recommending Mag Mell or are you recommending Howth because you're listing level 10 for both areas. Similarly, you specifically state that Howth is only good for two levels but the level range you describe is 10-12... which is three levels: 10, 11, and 12. Do you see what I mean?
yeah i realised this only after I made them and someone else complained... it seemed clear to me :P Basically remove 1 from the top range of each. So 5-9 MM 10-11 Howth 12-17 brynach 18-19 innis.
Yeah, that's pretty much how I've been doing it and it's been working out well. By the way, thanks for doing these. It's clear you've put a lot of time and energy into it and I really appreciate it. Looking forward to your thoughts on 21-50. =o)
heh sorry to say but don't expect those thoughts any time soon... Busy gaming season is coming up and I have a second channel and more livestreaming in the works ._.
for gear, the housing is a good option too. you can find high quality weapons for not too much gold.
true I should have mentioned this. You don't always find something but when you do it's better than vendor.
I'm a new player. What do you mean by housing?
I get goosebumps watching these old videos, a significant portion of my life revolved around this game. Miss those days!
Thank you! I played this game a little bit when I was really young and forgot most of it. This was really helpful!

Glad to hear it, I will make more :D
Oh my god, the nostalgia . . . I may have to go back.
Nice ... will keep this bookmarked for Dwalic's Valewalker adventures

except that the DL ticket costs 10s instead of 5 ;) I'm cheap.

Thanks for response! I actually dinged 21 today by going to innis and tasking. Though it did take me FOREVER to find those curm poachers.
I don't know how to type how it sounds but you said Connacht wrong
hmm yeah did the english thing didn't I? damnit. Sorry about that, sometimes I slip into that.
Farraige He butchered all of the names, but that is normal for non Irish people :) ( Sorry CD, love the vids!)
God bless you for this video, but 1-5 is not worth the traveling hassle. You just grind mobs and group up to grind if possible.
hows the population on the classic server?
on the weekends europa prime 4000 playyers, inweek europe prime 3300+^^ if ou are states or asian than lower but arround 2200-2500
