Ashmir thank you very much for posting this mate. Started two days ago and having a blast. It certainly is a breath of fresh air to be able to level a fair bit easier, especially considering we're all adults now and don't have the time we once used to.

@@iam0ri Even nightshades/rangers are spamming lfm 4/8 animist/bomb/menty. I tested a shade last night on my BM just to see if he'd take me. They were 4/8 and all of us in same level range. "Respeccing to medium shield/Pierce since you have no tanks," I told him. "Thanks," he replied, (rare to get a reply) "but looking for animist/bomb." "What classes so far?" "Chanter, eldy, druid, nightshade, Bard coming. Do you have a bomb or animist?" "Sorry, no. GL," I added. So yeah, gets tricky.
Can easily do this with BM/any other melee/Bard. Maybe someone else will see this comment and y'all can start something together! Or maybe advertise on the Phoenix forums and find a couple of likeminded dudes that play your playtime and forge something new. In any case, thanks for the kind words and thank you for watching!
Had not played DAoC since WoW came out, so 2004. I remembered some things well, and other things not at all. Your "Is Phoenix Worth Playing" video was super helpful too, I had no idea about /train and was already 22, felt like an idiot. Only issue is, I have no friends that will play.... like you, I am old now, all my friends went and did boring crap like have families and dont want to play computer games anymore. The few that do don't wanna play DAoC =/ Oh well, maybe I'll meet someone in LFG. Again, your videos are a great help, thanks. Do you have any tips where I can go to get a better UI and better key binds? In WoW Classic, I have such a clean UI and well done key binds, DAoC is feeling very clucky to me. I need a way to swap to shield and 1 hander and slam, then whip out my 2 hander. I know I did it 15 years ago, but I dont recall how.
man, I haven't played in a couple of years now. I'd encourage you to check out the phoenix forums ... I'd be willing to bet someone there will have some UI stuff posted somewhere. As for keybinds, you just need to come up with a system and do it yourself. I'd recommend making a level 1 character as a template, setting up all of your keybinds on it, and then whenever you make a new character, copy that character's .ini & .dat files, rename them to the new character, and voila! Good luck, man!
I understand personal tasks; kill xx amount of mob type then hand in the task completion token to your class trainer. But, don't understand Collection Tasks? also, in your description you don't have a link to "List of Midgard special mob types:"..
If you click the "show more" button in the description, it has it along with all of the other resources I showed. I called it "fancy map with collection task locations" so it should be pretty easy to recognize. Thanks for watching!
Here's the best tip to get money to level yourself. Just ask a SC crafter.. Be polite, ask for a reasonable amount and remember to thank them.. If some one comes to me asking for a couple of Plat for gear.. I don't ever say no.. just don't be a turd about it.. Oh, and once you do raids and PVP where you make good money.. don't stiff the crafters.. pay them well for their work.

I've noticed this phenomenon on Phoenix Hibernia as well. I'm not entirely sure why there aren't more melee here...

Btw, went from 8-19 in about two hours. Including 3 runs into FZ for some extra parry/crit. :)

Now the realm task completes every 30 minutes and the rps from it are only available to levels 35 and up.

some mobs drop items that can be turned in for extra xp. very worthwhile.

Phoenix is not the same it was in alpha so many shameless nerfs and the change to nf killed it for me.
