Great little analysis Man 👌🏽⚽️️ about the half turn: sometimes your teammates give you soft passes, so it makes it slower to turn. I guess I just have to talk to them

Thanks for that vid Matt! Just curious, what is your opinion is on diagonal defense splitting balls for diagonal runs (where the winger is cutting towards goal and the ball is coming from the opposite side of the field), so the winger is receiving the ball at a 90 degree angle? Is it better, worse, or equal to the diagonal ball for a straight run? Thanks!

Nathan Mol Diagonal ball, diagonal run can be great Nathan but timing of pass, run & weight of pass are key to execute effectively.. 👍🏾 great question Nathan 👌🏾 hope that helps 😉⚽️

Here's an example of what I mean - I play striker and central midfield now but when I used to play right fullback I used to love to hit a diagonal 30-40 yard aerial ball over the defensive lines heads into the space for the opposite side's winger to run on to.. also the other time I think it can be really effective is when the #10 is between the lines and the #9 is maybe checking back to pull the center half out of position creating space to play a diagonal through ball to the opposite side winger who may be cutting in.. I thought I should clarify what I meant :)

Thanks Matt! That's what I was thinking, also a great pass but a little less room for error if the timing is off from the pass or the run..
