I can't wait for proper remaster (like C&C1 got), then this game will be playable on modern systems till end of third Tiberium War. Atmosphere, graphics, music, all great... just upscale models and give us some quality of life features (being able to queue more than 5 units, for example) with better compatibility and mod support.
With how successful the remasters were, I wouldn't be surprised if they're in talks or already working on them. The problem is the time and resources. TibSun and RA2 are entirely different and larger than the first games. I wouldn't be surprised if they're in talks or currently working on them. My guess for the release is most likely 2023.
A Tiberian sun + Firestorm remake benefiting from what came with RA2 and Yuri's revenge engine would be quite the legendary 2 game remaster package, I would throw as much money as needed to get the super ultra chad collectors edition, and ANY merch or models that would come with it
I think the Mammoth deserves more fire range to properly demonstrate its might. Railgun has extreme range IRL after all. I wish it has the chin turret too like in original cutscene, with a rotary cannon.

I'm happy to see units armed with automatic weapons actually fire full auto instead of original short bursts. If given opportunity to modify a C&C game, I would make most units capable of shooting at air units for a little realism. Watching a Vulcan Cannon BRRRT air units into pieces would be very satisfying. Only example of that I've seen so far are the YR Gatling turret and Gatling tank. I'd try to program relevant units to fire short bursts at maximum range then gradually progress to full auto at short range (or close range for infantry) Light infantry or riflemen's assault rifles should have more effective range than thrown weapons in-game too. Give tanks secondary weapons especially machine guns. I'd enable self propelled heavy artillery units to use direct fire like main battle tanks do. Maybe implement a short minimum firing range on them. Then there's the challenge to simulate how modern artillery units adjust the amount of propellant charges for different trajectories and ranges... Maybe that's too much 😂 Air-to-air weapons on fighter aircraft. Homing air-to-ground missiles like those of RA2 Harriers instead of dropping dumb bombs WWII-style. Incendiary weapons fielded by GDI because Geneva Convention doesn't care about burning aliens alive (maybe). Aircraft flares and active protection systems. Semi-realistic (play WT instead for realistic) ballistics and armour performance to make big guns matter more. Make mechanical units face desired directions like Tick Tanks facing their hulls at targets. (Not asking for the feature in CoH called "set facing", that'd require modding CoH instead) Slightly increase effective range of all ranged units because I really think that's at least more realistic. Extend missile ranges but implement a lock on delay except for guided missiles. Also, melee is nearly useless in modern open-field battles anyway. The false glory of cavalry charge under heavy fire in a modern setting is laughable. And for a little more modern warfare feel, add an autocannon & ATGM unit like today's IFVs and something like the Russian Tunguska self-propelled anti-aircraft too. And drones to fire and/or guide guided missiles. The list goes on... Maybe I should mod an RTS game too.
Things that I like about the mod: Graphics for explosions and fire (I especially like how the wood bursts into pieces when you shoot at trees or an explosion hits trees) New Powers (Titan drop) New Units (like havok) New Power Plant Scrin non-generic buildings look good Things that I did not like about the mod: Faction choice (Scrin seems out of place in Tibsun and it shows - Nod power plants, generic MCV, stutter-ish units) Spammy A.I (though this cannot be helped, much) Suggestion if mod author ever reads this (most likely not): Change the faction to cabal or mutants. Im sure the creative team (or person) can make unique units\buildings for cabal or mutants that will not be out-of-sync like scrin.
The graphics looked nice, better than the original, but it's still way too high of a perspective. Does it zoom in? I don't know if the effects are normal, but it was cool looking for sure.
Whoever made the scrin faction from cnc3 on ts needs to get with me (TRZ) or some other elite players to balance scrin as a 3rd faction for normal TS and we got a game
a very good mod would be a a mich better version of C&C Reloaded mod using the graphical effects of Warzone mod but also the RA2 Yuri's Revenge base game as the platform to create the mod.
I think some of those units would have insta-killed the towers. The tripods especially seemed to have a ton of alpha damage. Most of the stuff that got rekt were infantry and wolverines anyway.
The art is amazing (even though they're clearly ripped designs from CNC3 and CNC4 from 3D to 2D) but the contrast is awful, everything looks washed out.
just the radio walkietalkie sound is not so very c,c like its more arma and police walkietalkie like then army look at how they did sounds for original games and you see point
I'm laughing my ass off at the Android units. That's not possible. Nod was the most advanced in Tiberium and AI research, but they never made fully autonomous human-replica androids. Nor would GDI. There was no technological need for Androids in the Tiberium universe of Command and Conquer. That stuff belongs in Red Alert.
