Why I think Mr D and Chiron didn't want Percy to know what really happened to his mom: At least in Chiron's case it might be that he's worried about what it could drive Percy to do: heroes fight for glory, usually that's something honourable and helpful tto the world (or to the gods), but if Percy goes to save his mother he would be fighting only for her and that might drive him to do dishonourable things for her sake. So I could see it as Chiron being worried about how Percy would react to the information, but I kinda think he would have told him eventually. For Mr D on the other hand, he purely just didn't want him to know because he didn't want Percy to be distracted. He didn't care about Percy's mom or about how her loss would make Percy feel -- and why would he, he's a god. He clearly sees it as Percy should be honoured to have the chance to do something for his godly father, so everything about his former life, including his mother, are unimportant and should be forgotten because his new "purpose" is more important. That's my opinion on it.
I really like the Clarisse casting, we’re not exactly known for being muscular 😅 and so it must be tough finding a girl teen like that and who can act the part, to me she definitely seems thicker than the average teen girl but on the athletic side which is good and for a teenager she looked intimidating as well, especially in the armour. I really enjoy these episodes so far! Good reactions :)
Luke's actor/character is so sympathetic and nice that I can't even imagine his betrayal in the finale... and that's great! A viewer should feel like that about him.
Haha definitely fair! I am definitely growing on her. Excited to see what she has to offer, and how they do her relationships with her father and the campers!
The only reason I can think of they they didn’t want to tell him would be if he only focused on helping his mother and not doing the actual quest with the lightning bolt. Or perhaps if he knows about his mother he could get distracted by her and not getting the Lightning bolt, but that’s all I can think of 🤔
i think mr d and chiron didnt tell him in the show canon because they didn't want him to prioritize his mother over retrieving the bolt :( because in the books no one really knows what happened to her, and her survival is kind of a shock to them, so i think they wanted to mimic that in order to avoid the stupid movie's take where percy sneaks out to save his mom without an official quest. I also imagined clarrise to be more buff but the actress said she worked out for months to build some muscle, but her anger is spot on here so they casted well
