- Hey Super Nerds!!! I'm SO excited the Percy Jackson series is finally here! Sorry I'm a week late, I had the stomach flu when it released... which was sad and then I was home for Christmas. I was losing it not being able to react to this, you have no idea. I filmed my reaction for episode two right after this one, so that one will be up in the next day or so!

Thank you! And that’s valid, it doesn’t matter how many times I rewatch the episodes, I tear up at the very least every time😂😭 YESSS it’s one of my favorite decor pieces, I love it sm

Side note: When I was doing the break down at the end and I kept saying “I find it interesting…” 🙃 That was me being nice and not flat out saying I was perplexed by the decision.
I really don’t get why Smelly Gabe is the way that he is? It’s an odd choice to me. Why don’t I immediately want to turn him into a statue? I mean, I get that it’s on Disney Plus and it’s a kids’ show, so they’re making him less awful and more funny, which he is and I like him. But he was an abuser, not just a gross, lazy, jobless, hands-off step-parent who is sometimes rude to his wife, but also backs down as soon as she raises her voice back. Like, Sally popped off and I love that for her, but that’s not how I imagined their dynamic AT ALL. I hope they at least tell stories of how awful he is without showing it
he rlly doesnt seem deserving of dying rn. i saw someone else say percy finds out hes a physical abuser later on so maybe hopefully its like a thing percy and the viewers dont know rn but will be shared later on?? idk. either i hope he doesnt die, or they make him worse.
Maybe since it's not something we find out in the book until later on they want to have that punch reveal near the end as well for people new to the story, that would be my guess
@@arouila Ohh, this is true, he’s off at schools most of the time, so he wouldn’t know. I hope so, too, cause currently he doesn’t deserve petrification. Divorce? Definitely. Or if they give backstory to/from Percy in the coming episodes.
@@DayBlueberry-F That’s a good point, he didn’t truly know how bad it was because it happened when was at school and not around. Though, he isn’t really verbally abusive, either, ordering Sally around even in front of Percy. I’m curious to see how they play his character out in this version
Are we ignoring the punch my lights out line in the chapter that he was introduced?
