Modding some headphones for balanced audio, primarily to take advantage of the increased power available when using the Fiio's balanced output (more volume).
So ... if I just get a regular 2.5 to 3.5 mm cable with the 3 separating rings and use it to connect my regular Headphones which have a 3.5 mm jack with my BTR3k, what would I hear? Would I get more output?
Maybe? I think you will have to try it. It depends how your adapter is wired, as well as how the BTR3k responds when you bridge the L- and the R- to be common. give it a try?
Fairly interesting to see this recommended to me today; I've had these exact headphones and DAC for about a year now.

It will be interesting to mod sound of SR850. Filter for rejection high mid or something
