Love a good lcg chassis but isn’t the point of these redcat, scx pro, carbon lcg kits is that you don’t need another chassis, I have no doubt never using any of them that the redcat is the weakest….but why take the reds at axles and put them under another chassis aren’t they the weakness with these rigs…all questions!!
Never had redcat only element and axial, vanquish upgrades and the likes. Have a sporty a moa now, and couple lcg Sherpa and a Gspeed. And some custom chassis and love it all I’m sure I’d love a redcat ascent!!

I do think the redcat out of the box is in the top. Its really good out of the box. Is this chassis needed? Prolly not. But its worth a shot to see. We shall see what i do with this truck. I have ideas. But no clue on which way im gonna go.
I had the first Gen Surpass crawler ESC and the 12T 5slot 550. It was super smooth but didn’t have much drag brake out of the box. I ordered the programming card but it would never power up. It was as good in terms of smoothness and it’s similar to the HW1080 but the no drag brake was a no go. Maybe I just got a dud programming card? Also you forgot to share which candy DSM sent to you 😀
