    Hi Raheem.
    Let me tell you that I've been practicing for more than 40 hours now. Your videos of how to fly manual had been essential for my learning and now I am already flying my Avata. You are very good at explaining things that others take for granted. Thank you very much. Feels great when you finally get there. Congrats.

      Sorry i missed this. Great to hear you're in the skies! Thanks for sharing your journey here. The goal was to share skills and give pilots the most confidence to fly safely up there in the skies, and Im glad to hear I have managed to get you there well. There is much more the Avata can do, but Id rather keep it up there in the skies longer, avoid the fanciful flying and just soar. Safe enough for close proximity stuff too, which the DJI FPV was not able to do. So just enjoy the journey and get creative with cinematic styles. See you in the skies!

    Appreciate all the teaching, I started practicing manual mode with my DJI Avata and at the beginning it was crazy difficult but after 4 hours of practicing I started to loving it. Again thank you, you cleared some issues I had.

      Damn bro, 4h is FAST! I took 4 days i think. Lol! But keep pace and glad that you are loving the journey. DJI did not mention that is damn difficult to learn M Mode, and one would need to put in many hours b4 getting anywhere comfortable to flying acro. But its all good as long as you love the journey. Soon you will soar the skies. Fly safe and I'll see you there!

    Great content I am watching your videos several times to learn.
    I started the FPV freerider and it was incredibly hard then I realised I am on 3D mode and not acro mode,
    I switched to Acro now, it is not as hard bas it is still too difficult and almost impossible to go under all the wooden gates and complete 1 lap!

      To work, toilet, in the train and even at social gatherings! I was on it EVERYWHERE. Point is, it really takes awhile to learn to fly Acro well, and I hope you dont give up and keep practicing. No need to take up so many hours a day. A friend did about 1h a day everyday for a month and he now flies Acro most of the time. You will get there soon enough. Here is his first flight in Manual. Enjoy and hope u have some takeaway from this.

    Thanks a lot for the amazing series. Really helpful for someone like me who is just starting out. One quick question: when I make a turn with yaw and roll as you mentioned, I often end up flying upwards while making the turn. What do you think would be the common reason? Is it because I provided too much forward throttle?

    • @TheReelRahim
      @TheReelRahim  Год назад +1

      You're most welcome and glad to hear its been helping you out in the skies. Actually that is common to happen. Controlling the pitch and roll of the drone kinda feels natural, but the bigger problem here is having to manage the Yaw AND Throttle at the same time. I share in this episode, that in making turns, u will need to often lower throttle so as to not rise as you make that turn:

    • @TheReelRahim
      @TheReelRahim  Год назад +1

      Oh my sorry mate, thats not a phone mount for RC. just a normal foldable phone mount positioned above the RC that i had to lay on the table for filming. Did think of making one to mount to the phone, but didnt really see the need as it would make the RC heavy and unbalanced if handheld. Much easier to just have it propped up on the table for practice.

    Hi, I don't understand the English language, just using a translator. Can you please write down what you said about the cable? Don't you have a website with a video description? I have an Avata, RC2 and a problem with the connection to the DJI simulator. But the USB-C -> USB-C cable should be ok, it works with the goggles. Thanks for the reply

    • @TheReelRahim
      @TheReelRahim  Год назад +1

      For RC connection to Freerider Mobile Simulator :
      1) Black USB Type C -> Type A adapter that is included with the Avata, is to connect to an Android smartphone. Then connect a Type A -> Type C cable to the RC. Do not use a charging only cable. You must use a cable that does charging and also data transfer for this to work.
      Sorry no, i do not have a website. Hope to have one when im bigger as a youtuber.

  • @tomvince1963
    @tomvince1963 Год назад

    Thanks for the great video. I've been trying very hard with the sim but I can't hover properly like you do, the drone either goes backward or moves forward very quickly, so very hard for me to pass between the poles, let alone 2 sets of poles in a row. And then I end up crashing because the drone goes too fast and becomes uncontrolable. I wonder if the sticks of my RC are not oversensitive.

    • @TheReelRahim
      @TheReelRahim  Год назад +1

      Trust me, IT TAKES ALOT OF PRACTICE. Because over time, the controls have become second nature, so actually I am making micro adjustments without thinking about it. So even on the default rates of the free Freerider app, I can control the drone to hover steady. It really takes a while, so keep up the practice. May go into weeks or months of practice for the muscle memory to fully build. Its a marathon and not a sprint, so take your time and enjoy the journey. Wish you well in the journey!

    Should I be practicing normal and sport modes? Or concentrate on sim in manual mode.
    Any particular maneuvers in normal mode to help transition to manual?
    Should I stick to type two stick layout in normal?

    • @TheReelRahim
      @TheReelRahim  Год назад +1

      Real world, have fun with Normal and Sport mode first. But at the same time practice in the sim. By doing both, you will notice that Manual mode is TOTALLY DIFFERENT and you will need to pilot the drone every step of the way. No hovering, no self balancing of drone in flight or levelling of camera gimbal. Full control, no shortcuts. Watch my manual mode playlist to help you move along in Manual Mode. Mode 2 controls is ideal, as its the same for other DJI drones and toy grade drones.
