One thing I keep hearing with this bike is that as you noticed, finding neutral from 1st ad 2nd is very hard. Also when you quick shift you're not meant to let off the throttle going up the gears
Cool vid. Except how you used the quickshifter in the beginning. Yeah the tech guy said you rarely need the clutch, but it's not good to upshift without the clutch less than 3,500rpm
lol you do bike reviews and didn't know about quick shifters...wow it's been on bmws bikes since 2011 and pretty much all the bikes have them now, only the auto blipper is new. If I was out filming and riding in traffic the way you were with a bmw demo bike I would loose my sponsors. It's an incredible bike I receive my Msport last week. it's much better faster and way superior suspension wise than the last gen bike. You just can't compare the 2. best TFT of any bike out there the menu is sweet and easy to use when you get some time using it, the mirrors are some of the best I've seen no shaking and they are solid love the fact the blinkers are in them takes the ugly blinker off the side fairings. The Msport seat is a bit much for street riding so I got a normal seat added to my purchase. The carbon wheels are top quality some of the best on the market and make the bike turn just by thinking about it. I have the upgraded performance package so the ECU air filter and full exhaust is already changed and the bike kills the non performance package it's got to have a good 10RWHP at least. The Msport is so light it almost feels like my Daytona 675 race bikes. Only things I have to say about the bike would be the tail section looks weird I'm ordering a rear delete kit asap, on the bright side taking to off takes about 5min it's all plugs and couple screws. I love the fact that I can put my navigation from my phone right on the 6.5 inch TFT you can also scroll the music from it and much more. The power mods are all very noticeable and on the Msport the race options are so good you can adjust every part of the bike and have options set up for your liking in each type of riding you want to do. This bike is so complete it will take others a couple years to catch up and keep the price low. I got mine for 23800$ Canadian and it's got every option possible with exception the alarm have no need for that and they always end up giving problems ( well the older bikes did) This bike is a bargain for all it has and someone buying the normal model with no options is paying under 17K and still getting a better bike than almost everything out there. I will be taking it to my tuner in the next 2 weeks and see if BMW was subtle with their tuning if so I hope to see tuners cracking the ECU to be able to tune the bikes without having to get a race ECU or aftermarket ECU add on. In the end this bike doesn't need a power upgrade at all it's much much faster than the old bike and probably faster than all the new bikes out there. My friend has a V4S and I was about 10 bikes in front of him and was overtaking him as low as 5500 RPM the torque is so good down low makes the bike very nice to ride on the street. I could go on and on. I will have to find an RSV4 1100 to compare but I think it's still faster but not as bad as Ducati. Even if the Aprilia has the 77CC advantage I don't think it's as fast up top.
Have you never ridden a bike with auto blipping and quickshifters??? Meaning you dont need to use the clutch at all to up or downshift as long as you are giving it throttle. I have this on my 848 Evo even and it makes riding 100x faster and better.
And this is why you ask if it has been test ridden and good for engine failure for improper break in period just my thought process I ain’t dropping money on a new motor

Joka Crip like Joshua said, “If you ride the bike, you’re gunna but the bike.” The plethora of modes and adjustability the bike has, that alone makes it worth it over the previous gens. The main thing is the absolutely perfect power band and race shifting, it is is seamless and smooth.
Keep your bike wait till they sort all the recalls what usually happen with a new bike coming out. Wait a year at least. This bike and the previous model both tuned they will be nothing in it hp wise. Bike still sounds like a bag of nails lol a Get a v4 s Ducati

@@OBELISK3210 Why would someone be not comfortable enough to ride a liter bike if you already have riding experience, Not saying you should max it out or ride it to full potential. But in everyday scenario. The liter bike have more usable power in traffic and city rides and commuting in general. My friend is 1'57 and she is riding s1000rr if you're too small for liter bike then you're too small for 600 even most 600s got higher seat. The weight difference between modern liter bikes and 600s are way too small only 5-7 kilos it's nothing in comparison in what you get instead in technology and quality parts and usable power. 600s are nightmare to ride on the street uncomfortable and too much track focused they're truly race only bikes. That's why they're dying off. Why would i buy 600 if it's inferior on the street less powerful and only slighty cheaper. I personally hate 600s and i don't think they have business out side of the track and the sells numbers shows not only me thinking the same.
Anton Newman but the 1000 takes more energy but you’re right for its more useable power for the roads I’ll have to test ride a few. But its affording a 1000 to some of the 600 the prices are just different drastically here. Insurance too. Thats the thing with the 600 ill be taking it track too.. & 600 is more user friendly for amateurs on track compared to a 1000 which again takes it more out of you compared to a 600. Most of the time uk city roads are all 20/30mph anyways & a load of speed cameras were i live. I just feel I wouldn’t have a license long on a 1000 in it as a daily/weekender as the power is easy to demand were the 600 your get the power around the 7/8rpm. Plus I’ve only been riding for a year & 6 months.
It is a good-looking bike but it feel good to see you at the end of the video you pulled up on side it's cousin the GSXR even though the new bike is new frame is a little different you still can hear the whistle out of the engine redefine of the GSXR the BMW s1000 is the GSXR crazy cousin

I would go so far as to say this bike is above most motorcyclists abilities. As for electronic understanding, I leave that to BMW. You pay for their knowledge and expertise and the S1000rr electronic package is regarded as one of the best. It's like you have a 100 bmw technicians all monitoring your riding and tweaking it on the fly. Make a mistake that is correctable, the bike will probably correct it before you even realise there was a problem. Less to worry about mechanically or electronically = more attention spent on riding and having fun. And in the event of an emergency the 2020 has a S.O.S button that orders coffee and fast food while you lay in a ditch

The 2020 model was released this year in May. Its just like what car companies do. Its basically the 2019 model with a few new features. I ask everyone at TMPSW if it was really the 2020 model and they said it is. This was one of two they were show casing. The big difference is the ACTUAL 2020 model is only the race bike. They brought this one in unrestricted to show everyone what it will be like in 2020.

I almost bought a Jason disalvo from team mancuso , they wouldn't take my 9000 dollar offer they sold it for less I do believe but I'm glad cause I ended up with a Danny eslick with less miles .
karl leonard you can see some similarities for sure with the Panigale but after having rode the v4 and s1000rr the bmw take the cake the performance and price.
