    Thanks Mark for auch a great review. I felt the excitement along your ride. My question is would you ever consider buying one if you are not going to use it often on the track?

  • @alexmorgan3435
    @alexmorgan3435 5 лет назад +2

    The base spec prices you quote I don't think anyone ever buys a bike without the options which actually BMW should include. Most people will be looking at paying £18.5 to £20k for one of these. I think it was designed more as a track bike but BMW also designed it to be good on the roads as well especially with the shift cam or VVT technology. Most people who ride these their ability will fall well short of the bike's capabilities. In any case you couldn't begin to scratch the surface of what the bike can do unless you are on a track and then you'd have to have balls of tungsten carbide and more. In any case I would buy one simply because it doesn't have keyless ignition.
    Good review as usual Mark. Thanks. You've had a break for a bit so was wondering what had happened to you.

    I've seen you review bikes from CW motorcycles so I thought I'd check them out. Really disappointed to find they ceased trading a couple of years ago. Although bike sales are better than they've been for a long time, the costs of a dealership must be huge and the margins so low. Add to that the regulation and red tape these days where the dealer is sandwiched between the manufacturer and the customer, it can't be much fun either.

    • @markpulling12
      @markpulling12  5 лет назад +1

      Hi robert,id say its more akin to the honda fireblade ,ie super efficient ,def lacks a tiny bit of character compared to exotica motors like panigale ,R1, RSV,but when its so powerful and nice to ride on the road,and the others are harder work on the road ,you really never think about any lack of character as it as so savage and nice at the same time to ride all the best mark

    The air from that screen is not going over your helmet. That's impossible, look at the angle your camera is looking down at it. The turbulent air is probably at your shoulders. The only way the air could be going over your helmet is if the edge of the screen was at your eye level.

Ducati Panigale V4R, Aprilia RS4, Yamaha YZR-M1, and by this it will be more practical ,as those above superbike companies have also installed hi-tech digital speedo instrument panel having many of it's bike control settings as this BMW has. So do bring out it's capability at different settings as with that of the above bikes in coming videos. Take care, bye.

    I live in Canada and just saw a horrible review of this in Canada that was just a bad review because the guy was a terrible reviewer. You are by far one of the best reviewers I have seen. The bike reviewed in the US by an American motorcycle magazine reviewer complained about low end power and something about it being restricted severely due to EPA regulations and in dire need of an ECU flash that would hopefully clear that up. Unfortunately the Canadian reviewer was so lazy as far as details, well, maybe he works for BMW. The US model was being track tested and the reviewer did not like the vibration through the handle bars. He also didn't feel that the suspension was doing what it was intended. He eventually thought maybe it was just that bike.
