  • Here is another video of a metro ride in Montreal from Snowdon Metro Station to Lionel-Groulx Metro Station on the Orange Line 🟠 and then from Lionel-Groulx metro station to LaSalle metro station on the Green Line 🟢.
    The video starts at the exterior of Snowdon metro station, which includes both the Orange Line 🟠 and Blue Line 🔵 of the Montreal Metro. We are standing on Queen Mary Road in the NDG / Côte-des-Neiges borough of Montreal.
    We then go inside and take an elevator down to the turnstile / ticket booth level, followed by another elevator that takes us down to the metro platform levels.
    We then go onto the Orange Line 🟠 platform that will take us in the Montmorency Direction heading south aboard AZUR Sent 50.
    Once we are on the Orange Line, we get off at Lionel-Groulx metro station which includes the Orange Line 🟠 and Green Line 🟢.
    We then switch to the Green Line towards the Angrignon Direction heading west aboard an MR-73 train.
    We then we get off at LaSalle Metro Station where we see a deadheading AZUR train heading back towards Honoré-Beaugrand.
    After we go up the stairs, we exit the metro station and metro system, where we see a hybrid STM bus from the year 2020.
    This video was filmed on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at approximately 12:24 AM Eastern.

    I swear everyone that puts the camera peeking in the tunnel is crazy. They deserve respect.

    Being from the far west coast of Canada in Vancouver it’s pretty unique seeing the Montreal STM Metro. I absolutely can’t wait till the new REM metro opens up. That entire project as a whole definitely shows the rest of North America and Canada that yes, you can build a whole new metro system on top of the older metro and have them complement each other. I wish Metro Vancouver’s transit authority TransLink would expand the Canada Line Subway to complement the existing 3 Skytrain lines. We’re just too busy arguing over where a subway would go to 🤦‍♂️.

    I do find it annoying that escalators in the STM are not so reliable, and the Metros aren't as reliable as they were in the 90s and 89s The Azur trains are nice, but the MR73 are really dated, and it wasn't even that long ago when they were refurbished. I miss the red end walls and brighter seat interior

      Yeah we are both old enough to remember those days mate. I found the entire transit system and network was run much better back then. You remember the GM New Look buses? The big comfy seats.

      Ya, I hate every city bus that came after the GM Classic, low floor buses are garbage on our moon crater roads and no shocks and hard seats band dirty Chevron windows in winter make the ride unpleasant. I Still think the New Looks are the pinicle of bus comfort and reliability.

    what does deadheading mean?

    • @SkyOfTheUniverse
      @SkyOfTheUniverse  Год назад

      Deadheading is when I train goes through a station without stopping. This is an example here in this video: ruclips.net/video/aqf7pxv0wQU/видео.html
