That two were planted out 4 years ago in a land owners property, they are doing very well. There were already a number of mature sequoias in that particular woodland.

You actually think we make paper out of old growth trees? Lol!! I guess you don't know anything about pulpwood trees (trees used for paper production). Or the fact that they are a planted crop. If you use less paper, the farmers plant fewer pulpwood trees. Using less paper in order to "save trees" is the same as eating less corn to "save corn plants". It is stupid, and accomplishes nothing whatsoever.

If you can ever go to the Redwood Forest, you will never forget it. Some of my favorite memories growing up and as a parent taking my own kids, we’re visiting the Redwoods.
I live near and visit often.. I’d love to be able to get a drone shot of it but it is illegal to fly in national parks without special clearance. I wonder how they got clearance for this video.
I visited the "Big Cedar Tree," as the sign read, many times when I was young. It was/is amazingly large and spectacular to behold. I was deeply saddened in 2016 when it broke during a storm. Between it and the Tree of Life above the grotto on the coast, where my family and I camped every summer for many years, my two favourite trees are both on the same stretch of highway.
I've been to a Redwoods park in California. I'll never forget how ghostly quite it was in there. No noise of birds chirping, or bugs buzzing around, no wind, almost no sound whatever. The grove is so well shaded few plants can grow which would offer food & shelter for animals.
The Redwood Forest? I think is a State Forest, Off the beaten path of public noisy National Parks, Is as you say. Spooky. But beautiful. You almost expect a wild animal to pop up.
Tane Mahura dgod of the forest. The tree that parted sky father and earth mother so all his brothers could stand instead of crawl between them according to Maori folklore.

That biggest tree 2000 yrs old. Wouldn't it be incredible to see a close up time-lapse vid of it's beginning to present time. Capturing everything and everyone around it.
They’re amazing!! My thoughts though are what these trees look like in their root system?! If anyone knows anything about tree roots, that thought should blow your mind even more.

This makes me wanna cry... People often seek what's out there and keep looking for new planets ( all of that is amazing yes ) But look around! Look what beautiful planet we actually freakin live on! It's so diverse, so gorgeous and many sometimes take it for given it seems. My goodness. Very well done vid!
When I went to Sequoia National Forest I absolutely tripped out. The entire forest has these trees growing in it. It's like a prehistoric fairy tale forest. I got out and hiked to different big trees and you can even walk inside them. Don't lean against these trees to take pictures or whatever reason. I learned the hard way they are covered in these tiny spines that will make you itch severely. I did read later that they were covered in these little needles. Everywhere my body touched was itching for days.
Can you imagine the traffic of humans continuously leaning against the tree trunks? Leaving human footprints on them? The needles from the furry like bark are for protection
In my childhood, i used to dream seeing a tree from a far, in a dark forest, it is breathtakingly big. I still remember this tree till this day. And 1 month ago, i discovered that this giant tree did exist. What a wonderful feeling. My dream is to go seeing this tree now. It is the no.2 and 1 tree

When I was about 8, dad gave me my first encyclopedic and when I opened it the first photo I saw was the Sequoya tree, the biggest tree in the world and I thought one day I would be there. When I turned 40 after moving to Australia (from Chile) I decided it was the right time to make that dream true and I drove from LA to Sequoya National Park and met General Sherman. Now I'm 43 and never forgot it's name :). PD: They missed the Alerce, one of the tallest in the world and aged about 3000 years :)

Seeing a redwood tree in real life is better than a RUclips video of it. They are a magnificent tree, humorous in girth and height. Seeing is believing. Thanks for the video post and best of luck 🍀👍🏼
When these magnificent trees die, no future generations will ever witness trees like this again. Trees will be harvested & logged before they reach these heights.
Well that might actually change If humanity would stop spreading it self everywhere and just focus on small areas, maybe the size of a country where they could just build a city in an unbeiliveble size and just let nature keep the rest of the world mostly, we would then again begin seeing big trees again
Shintoism of Japan should be the only religion to survive after the Corona virus will destroy all religious traditions and eventually render insignificance to their anti nature dogma of pain and destruction. Shintoism is Nature Worship. Which is why Japan is so beautiful.
When I see a good redwood tree, or pepper tree I come up to them and pat them! I am glad to have touched such proud beauties, and they have been in my life; and too have seen shallow crystal clear streams ,quiet with slow water 3 or 4 inches deep, and silence in the air.
Roots go the same depth as the height of the plant, because roots are more important for balance and nutrition. And the plant only grows in height if the amount of sunlight is higher than the amount of nutrition from roots.
Roots do not go deep they go wide. Look at any uprooted tree in the forest whether an alder, fir, hemlock or redwood. Tap roots go deeper searching for water but the majority are on or near the surface like a mat where the rich nutrients of the forest floor are available for growth.
I had a friend tell me he’d been all around the world in the Navy. He said he’d seen lots of things, but the most amazing thing he’d ever seen were the redwoods in California.

I really feel more happier when I see trees...I love you trees.... thanks for giving us oxygen, food, happiness and many ....
Majestic and magnificent trees... it takes thousands of years to grow and only 5 minutes to ruthlessly cut them down.
Humans are only creatures on this planet to cut the trees, make paper from them and then write "Save The Trees On It."
"Save the trees" on it.
Instead write Save trees on trees rather, it will be a good idea
You actually think we make paper out of old growth trees? Lol!!
I guess you don't know anything about pulpwood trees (trees used for paper production). Or the fact that they are a planted crop. If you use less paper, the farmers plant fewer pulpwood trees.
Using less paper in order to "save trees" is the same as eating less corn to "save corn plants". It is stupid, and accomplishes nothing whatsoever.
I get you point, but it would take a BIT longer than five minutes

The needles from the furry like bark are for protection
its amazing to think how far the roots must spread!
Choppa Young the roots do not spread that far
The root only spread as far as canopy maybe a little longer

Seeing a redwood tree in real life is better than a RUclips video of it. They are a magnificent tree, humorous in girth and height. Seeing is believing. Thanks for the video post and best of luck 🍀👍🏼
When these magnificent trees die, no future generations will ever witness trees like this again. Trees will be harvested & logged before they reach these heights.
Yeah
Well that might actually change
If humanity would stop spreading it self everywhere and just focus on small areas, maybe the size of a country where they could just build a city in an unbeiliveble size and just let nature keep the rest of the world mostly, we would then again begin seeing big trees again

When I see a good redwood tree, or pepper tree I come up to them and pat them! I am glad to have touched such proud beauties, and they have been in my life; and too have seen shallow crystal clear streams ,quiet with slow water 3 or 4 inches deep, and silence in the air.
The three just shows you what is possible in life.
@Hello Patrick K, How are you doing?
imagine how deep the roots go.
That's what she said 😄 😎
“That's what!” - She
Roots go the same depth as the height of the plant, because roots are more important for balance and nutrition.
The tap root grows straight down into the ground and the roots that grow off of it grow outwards and spread out wide and far
I had a friend tell me he’d been all around the world in the Navy. He said he’d seen lots of things, but the most amazing thing he’d ever seen were the redwoods in California.
