I think this is their best rendition ever!! The acoustics inside the volcano are fabulous and his voice resonates off the walls of the cavern. What a great idea for a “studio”.

I had never heard of this band before. I don't pay much attention to popular culture. I went to Iceland a few months ago and did an ice cave tour and the guide played this song as we were leaving the glacier. It's been on my mind ever since. It was a nice surprise to learn the band is Icelandic!

I personally love them both. But to say that one is better than the other is, in my opinion, not true at all. Can't really compare them. Hozier is his kind of genius, I mean have you actually read the lyrics in ANY of his songs? Kaleo music is good, but sometimes their lyrics are a bit all over the place to be honest.

Who would’ve thought a volcano has GREAT acoustics
Incredibly late comment reply but volcanoes that contain magma chambers like these where they are empty are not rare but due to their safety and the fact that you have a hole under the mountain holding it all up, they tend to collapse filling the empty space. This Icelandic volcano is rare for such a feature.
