Very nice Roger. My brother just got done giving our 69 4020 a complete overhaul and new clutch. It had 14,000 hours on it without the engine ever being touched. The 4020 is a great tractor for sure!
I wonder how much dealers had to discount the last 2 cylinders to clear them out? It was a poorly kept secret that Deere was about to release the next vision to the world! Even in our small farming area, there were several 3010 and 4010 diesels. And they were great! I never felt that the 30 series of 2 cyl were in demand until these days of collecting.
I remember going to a plowing demonstration with my Dad that a neighbor who had bought 2 4010’s but on with the local John Deere dealer. There was still brand loyalty though so one neighbor who was Oliver bought a new 1800a and another who was IH got a 560.
I know the claims about the 4020 and how well JD sells. However, from everything I've seen and read, IH 800 series tractors were all better tractors than the 4020. The 806, the 826 and the 856 were all better.

What is the name of the tractor shop in Weston, Ohio. Thank you
It’s called The Tractor Shop. It’s in West Elkton Ohio. The guy to call is Tim at 937-830-8354.

The 806 was a great tractor. But IH couldn’t introduce it until 1963. By then John Deere had a 3 year period to establish dominance.
@@rogermiller7411 People pay for the name more than the product. I'd rather pay less for a better product any day. That's just good business.

Agreed.
Until the TA went out on the IH's...that was a serious weak link.
