@@denindenim only thing I buy Levi's are 501s now. I'm not a collector, I just enjoy your channel. I try to buy as much as possible USA made. I'm one of those willing to pay more for USA made. I will actually hunt down Mexico made 501s when I need a new pair. Anyway, sorry for rambling. I hope the offer them at a somewhat reasonable price.
@@petergreen1994 Nostalgia mostly. Levis originated and were made in the US for over 100 years. But, there's also a significant quality difference from old USA made and modern. You can find old USA made Levis in a Thrift or at a yard sale still. You compare the material and build quality and there's a significant difference. Even Levis premium and Made & Crafted are not as well made at a significant price increase. I have a pair of LVC 501s at $275 and they're even thinner than a basic pair from the early 90s going back.

Yea, I also happened to notice that my vintage 501 and 517 are heavier than the modern day ones with only one exception my favorite pair of 501 heavily worn and washed , it’s a pair of 501 that’s made in USA from the late 90s. It’s pretty light weight, that’s makes wondering if it’s cause the worn and wash made it light or if Levi’s been cutting corners in the late 90s.
This is the very first time I've heard about this being Levi's 150th anniversary, and I'm a Levi's guy who has bought at least eight pair in the last year. I'm always surprised that large, iconic companies don't make a bigger deal of milestones like this. Harley-Davidson was extremely successful in promoting their 100th back in 2003, but Ford Motor Co in the same year, barely mentioned theirs. Chevrolet also did not do much to promote their hundredth year. A company can make a lot of extra profit by tagging their products and promotional doodads with an anniversary logo and it's puzzling that more of them don't do so to a much larger extent.

I was saddened to hear that LVC may well be in the end game and as you point out in your previous videos this has turned from rumour to certainty. What cut should I get for my body type? My thighs just don’t fit into a 501! I wore the 514’s but can’t get them in the Levi store here in the UK (Glasgow). Any ideas?
Hello It is said that only 1873 501 was set slightly higher in Levi's, Korea. For example, the rest is 699000 won in Korean currency, but only this is 799000 won. I'm sure it's the same in other countries, but I hope it's helpful.

I have some questions about the Levis 501/150 rainforest rigid selvedge shrink to fit jeans. Is it right, that they runs big in the size???? My size is 32*32. Should i size up in the waist and length??? I wash my denim always in warm water. How much will they shrink in the waist and length??? The same as rigid LVC 501???
I wish they could do a run of American made for the 150th 501.

It hasn’t shown with a price in any site yet. It’s expected in May. I think it’s going to be more expensive. It hasn’t been a smooth roll out so far.

I heard they fit like the 1955 so downsize but check out James Herlihy’s video for more.
