I have 4 ferrets, 1 of which is also deaf, yet I talk to him the same way I do to the other 3. They can learn to read your facial expressions.

I had a roommate who had a ferret and would liked taking baths and he would always want to jump in. After I was done taking a bath I would let him swim around, ferrets love water. He was always really good at stealing all the insoles out of my shoes and hiding them underneath my dresser. I could never just plop down on my bed before checking underneath the covers where at times he would be all curled up thinking it’s his bed.

This is adorable, but not many ferrets enjoy water, in fact, you shouldn’t bathe them often cuz they get irritated so this surprises me lol

I used to have a pet Ferret named Zeek. He was such a jerk. He would escape his cage to come crawl into my bed at night and bite my toes. Of course I was a little kid so I panicked and screamed every time. But I still do love ferrets so much!

I used to foster care for them when the local ferret rescue had too many. Play fighting and being sassy is just the ferret way of having fun. It's mine too lol.

gonzotolkien They can possibly learn your facial expressions, it’s not that hard to tell if somebody is angry or sad by looking at them unless they’re really good at hiding expressions.
@@terrylap6132 Dogs can do that. I don't know that ferrets can. I'm leaning toward "No" since they have poor eyesight and depend more on their sense of smell.

OMG so cute. I have only seen one or two white ferrets. This relationship makes me think of the DaVinci painting "Lady with an Ermine". Animals are truly are not only our best friends but healers as well. Best wish to Fergus and his Mom.
I absolutely love this channel. I adopted a pet rabbit myself about 2 years ago, and he has changed my life. He is the most loving and beautiful creature. In a way, he’s almost graceful. Whenever I’m having a bad day, he will just come up and let me snuggle with him. He is also very playful. I like to joke that he’s a puppy in the body of a rabbit. I love seeing other people’s stories about their very own furry friends. It warms my heart.♥️

Yo, ferret peeps; they do sleep A LOT! But when they are awake and want to play they are pretty much 110-120% ON. Then they might just plop down for a nap - see other note.

Sometimes people will say their ferrets are awake a ton of hours a day and I'm just thinking "okay, 90% chance they're not stimulated enough and that's why they don't sleep, 10% chance they're just odd"

@Ashutosh Mishra no, generaly dogs are worst, because ferrets have sharp theets, when teyre are playing the dog will get scars, but the cat doesnt, because cats have strong skin, also, if they start being together when theyre young, theyre perfect buddies, i had some cats and a ferret, they were best bros
Just a note: ferrets think anybody or anything can be a playmate or plaything.
My full sized dogs would avoid mine at all costs. He would eat food out of their bowl while they were eating and they would just look the other way. I miss him more than they do I think.
Ferrets are verry social animals, mine loved to play with our cats and with us. Love there war dance.
Keeping ferrets is such a special experience and so different to a cat and a dog. Love all my ferrets.

ferrets as so under appreciated; combine positive cat and dog qualities; very clever, mischievous, hilarious, endearing
They require a lot more diligence though since it's much easier for them to hurt themselves. Dietary and vet cost is also a lot more if you want to keep them as healthy as possible. It's important to take these things into consideration before trying to give one a home.

Loved my little deaf carpet shark, Ten years since he had to leave me, & I still miss "Trouble".
At least I still have his ashes and favorite little stuffed soccer ball toy together on my mantle.
By the way. Many white ferrets are deaf. It's a genetic thing. But I think being deaf, made mine even more in tune with me.

Who said that about cats? Cats are selfish and vicious. They can also be friendly and beautiful but primarily they are selfish. Dogs are preferable in almost every way (unless you want a pet that will climb onto your wardrobe, scratching it in the process and then piss on it.

@@jorjorable The fundamental difference between cats and dogs is that dogs are pack animals and are naturally sociable animals. Cats are not. You've only got to compare how cats react when they see other cats with the way dogs react when they see another dog. Cats hate other cats and they should know.
@@joshuarosen6242 You must just have bad experiences with cats. I used to volunteer at a cat shelter, my family fostered many litters of kittens, and we had 12 of our own cats at one time. There were only a couple that weren’t sweet and gentle.
we have 6 rescues, and theyre adorable, in fact two of mine spent all night using my body as a mountain because sleep is obviously for the weak

I had two ferrets..... I miss them.. one of them looked like that one! Her name was Lilly! And this black and white one looked like a bandit so we name him bandit and he’s a little trouble maker. Got stuck in the ventilation, and almost drowned. And they both would always go into this hole on the bottom of the couch and shove things in there. I had a HUGE cage for them in our living room. And it was always so cute when they would snuggle together. I went to pet co the other day and saw ferrets. I fell in love and remembered all of the memories we had with little Lilly and bandit.

He reminds me of my ferret Suzy, she was super smart, loved to play, and very loving. I miss her and her brothers a lot, they were all very sweet and personable!
I LOVE FERRETS I have two one is named Mit. He's white and is deaf too. He acts just like that and as always is super funny! His sister's name is Kit she is brown (a cinnamon brown) she's his hero they chase balls together and they are twins by birthday!

I personally have a deaf ferret named Felix, and I too bought him to be an emotional support animal for me. He has a mind of his own, but he is very curious, sweet, and charming. I love every day that I get to spend with him.

Ive had 8 of them over the last 25 years and they are the best pet. Super fun and full of energy when not crashed out.. I love the way they talk and hop around when exited with fat fluffy tails too..
