Have you installed or know of someone who installed a T56 Magnum Tremec transmission behind the coyote 5.0 in a 1968 Fastback. I am specifically wondering if the Rod and Custom sets the engine low enough that you don't have to do sheet metal work at the firewall and transmission tunnel. I read somewhere that the Rod and Custom front end is build to specific customer requirements, so contacting them is an option. I am not going to start on this project until the end of summer so I'm trying to get my "ducks in a row". Would like to know if you've had any experience with this though. I also read that the TCI front end tends to have transmission issues with the T56 - as far as sheet metal goes. Your thoughts?
You will need to raise the trans tunnel with the coyote engine, we had to with a TKO behind our coyote swapped 65 and the T-56 is actually a little larger.
Brad Thompson It wasn't bad, probably less than 2 inches. We cut the tunnel down the middle and bent the metal outward, put the trans up, and then bent it back over the trans and made a panel to fill the void.
Bill Tumas Allright, Thank you... That is a bummer.. I was hoping to keep the center console and rollup portion of the console under the radio. If I have to raise it by over 2", that doesn't sound possible.... My motor choice is going to be putting out around 700 lb ft of torque so I can't get away with the a TKO etc.. I could maybe reconsider the engine.... Things to think about.. Anyways. Thank you for the help...
CJ Pony Parts will the cross member be the same that you guys supply or will there be different cross members for the 427 small block. If so please can you quote me on the cross member and the steering conversion kit for a 1967 mustang fast back right hand drive conversion.
This question seems to go unanswered on every video covering this modification. The early Mustang front suspension is slightly wider then the early Falcon-Comet, that's why the V8 1965 Falcon/Comet centerlink is shorter then those on the early Mustangs (the 63 and 64 Falcon/Comet V8 linkage is completely different then on the 65's). But where is the difference that makes the Mustang assembly wider? Are the front subframe further apart??? I don't have an early Mustang on hand to measure...
Could you guys grab a quick measurement for me? I need to know if this will fit my '67 Comet. I'm fairly sure it will but I need to know the distance between the frame rails on the mustang to cross reference with my comet.
This kit is very much for people looking to do modern engine swaps like a coyote or barra. You can easily make it easier/more comfortable to drive with QA1 front coils and power steering kit.
This style suspension is needed for the Coyote crate engine to fit, it will not clear the stock shock towers.
3:40 , Do those motor mount towers look thin to anyone else ?
They do but they can easily be reinforced or replaced with thicker material if you’d like.
Very nice piece!
Where do you get the crossmember or does it come in the kit
is this needed for new engine or special suspension this thing will be rock when its finished cant wait to see the progress nice job cj pony
Dónde puedo comprar una suspensión de este estilo, o los planos de fabricación?

Bill Tumas Thank you for the quick reply. I was afraid of that.. Roughly how much did you have to raise it for the TKO?

Brad Thompson We used a double din radio on a console from TMI. had to modify it a little bit but nothing crazy
Hi. Just wanted find out if this convention will work while fitting a for 427 small block 7 liter and aod 4 speed transmition
Yes it will work for a big block swap with proper brackets but the AOD will require modifications to the transmission tunnel.

I was wanting to put one of these kits in my maverick will the mustang kit fit or do you offer a kit that will thanks
