    Thanks for your great videos over the years. I’m out of Southern California. And I’m 61yrs old. I’ve been working and building cars since I was a teenager with my dad R.I.P. from Lowriders to Hot Rods. I only wish we had RUclips back in the early 70’s. But it’s never to late to teach an old dog new tricks. Keep making those videos great job.😊🎉😇🙏🏽👍

    Thanks for all your hard work in producing this video! Tons of great information, and I can’t wait to do this upgrade on my 67 coupe. One constructive comment though, I don’t think the video needed music at all. It was really loud and super distracting. Otherwise, great job! Thanks again!

    Once again, Bill, a nice clear install. I don't have the shop, tools or skill to do it myself but it is good to see the whole process and know there is no real "magic" involved, just good shop, tools, equipment, and skills, which is way more $$$ to acquire than a resto-shop install would/or should cost!! Thanks. Yep, the "music" adds nothing good to this, but not going to obsess about it!!

    Keep in mid if you're switching over a manual steering car you're going to need a fan pulley from a power steering car.. I overlooked that on my install. Other than that this system went right on my 69 fastback.. can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the vid Bill, it helped a lot.

    As an international customer, I've been purchasing lots of restoration parts from CJPP despite having the worst customer service in the industry, according to some reviews. I did have my fair share of zero customer service and yet I ordered the parts. Other restorers here had the same complain about CJPP. I'm now restoring a 69 Mustang Mach 1 and will need parts. Are you guys ready with some good customer service? If not, I'll just go elsewhere and delete CJPP from my list once and for all.
    Looking through the comments, I noticed that CJPP had not responded to any of them for years apart from 6 or 7 of them.

    Since this is a unique "Center-Take-Off" Rack and Pinion, what device does that rack use to hold thee center moving housing from rotating from up or down? I did see a large set screw in the bottom center of the housing. Is this an internal flat-preload guide control for keeping the center of the housing from dropping with the weight of the guide bar and both tie-rods from dropping down? Otherwise, this would cause a "Bump-Steer" issue if it moves.

    How do you adjust the rack. It came very sloppy out of the box. To what tolerances do you tighten the rack when its installed? To avoid arm movement or over tightening. Is there a video on the rack adjutment?

    Why do the gold anodized fittings on the outer ends if the tierods hang down so low? Seems as though they would be very susceptible to damage. Can they be mounted to the top of the knuckle for better ground clearance?

    What headers is that, used in this Mustang with 351C? My Hooker headers (from the '80s) nearly rests on the steering box. So much room to pass the u-joint steering shaft with this one.

    TCP rack and pinion doesn't improve the inherent 'less than perfect' Mustang geometry. You still have bump-steer be it less tiresome.

    • @cjponyparts
      @cjponyparts  4 года назад

      Because of the location of any aftermarket rack and pinion you can still have bumpsteer issues, we offer several kits from TCP to help correct this.
