    I have mint mobile and download speeds are pretty much the same as T-Mobile service (I had them before I switched). I will say that uploading things to google drive does seem a bit slower, and it also requests me being connected to Wi-Fi a lot more often to complete an upload of a video or large document whereas before on T-mobile it would slowly upload those files, but still attempt to upload them. This is probably the only time I feel as if I'm deprioritized though, for those who are afraid of the "deprioritzation" tag. And due to my e-sim, I seem to come across dead areas a lot less than when I had a sim card. I might switch to Visible when I start to travel more, but mint is a solid choice for the person who's trying to save money.

    As a family we have been a Republic Wireless MVNO customer for years, specifically because here in terrain challenged NH WiFI calling/texting is important. However that all went away when Dish bought them. We have been looking at Mint but since T-Mobile bought them waiting to see how things shake out.

    I have a secondary line on mint mobile because of just how affordable they are.
    A 15gb plan for 15gb a month is hard to beat! The downside is that you have to commit to them for a year to get the best price unless they're is a promotion

    I got unlimited decent cell talk, text, and shit data with ASSurance wireless. Their customer service is crap with what seems like offshore agents who take English names. The worst is their choice in phones, names you never heard of like Winko and the names you heard all phones are reconditioned.
    I Chose Visible, I heard it first mentioned in comments section of a YT video. Visible seems like Best balance of Phones, Plans, and perks. Yes Mint has the cheapest plans but it seems that they have the fewest choices in phones with the highest prices. Since Mint became Tmobile Ryan Reynolds took his money and ran...I don't blame him. To add, Mintmobile has a few fees involved which adds to the total cost. In contrast, I’ve heard that with Visible, what you see is what you pay.
    If you don’t mind paying in bulk and don’t need a lot of data, Mintmobile offers the best value, even despite the fees. Visible seems to be a good for unlimited data without the need for bulk buying, but going by the comments, coverage seems to vary.

    • @buffuniballer
      @buffuniballer 8 месяцев назад +2

      They are cheap enough to have both if your phone supports it.
      I'm in the middle of my 3 month Mint trial AND the 14 day Visible trial.
      I'll probably keep both in a sense. Mint at a low level of data and use it as my phone. (I needed a personal number and they were the first, so I'm keeping that.) Set up my phone to use Visible as my primary data and just get the $25/month unlimited. Mint would be the backup data.
      I have two of the three major carriers in my pocket for around $50/month all taxes included.
      That's what I pay for my wife's AT&T Unlimited Starter with my Veterans discount.
      If you travel a bit, why not have both, just one that has SOME data to use while your primary has unlimited data.
      Maybe that works for you, or for others reading this.

    • @artdogg50
      @artdogg50 8 месяцев назад

      @@buffuniballer Well unfortunately I just took a trip out of town at a somewhat remote location. I had zero Visible service, and I mean zero. My Simple Mobile main line, which uses T-Mobile, was solid and never lost signal. The plan was to use Visible though since it has unlimited Hotspot. So I think I'll actually end up going back to Mintmobile since this is a trip I hope to make often. Mintmobile sometimes struggles with a signal in only one spot, but I'm not there often. Service seemed to get better after I wrote that too.

    • @buffuniballer
      @buffuniballer 8 месяцев назад

      @@artdogg50I get it. What one chooses is highly dependent on where they go.
      Mint is TMO's "captive" MVNO so I'd expect the same or better as you get from Simple Mobile as you say they are also TMO.
      I know I can set my iPhone to use BOTH SIMS/Networks for data. I can check the primary and then toggle "Allow Cellular Data Switching" to use cellular data from both lines depending on coverage and availability.
      If you have unlimited plans with both, no worries. If you have limits on one, then cellular data switching probably isn't a good idea.
      But hey, it's still great we have choices.
      For my wife, my plan is the $25 unlimited with Visible combined with our already ATT that is unlimited. Just turn on Cell Data Switching and turn her loose. Since both are unlimited, just let the phone sort it out.
      But I get unlimited with AT&T for $45/month plus tax and that includes HBO (MAX now IIRC) so it doesn't make sense to drop her off that for an MVNO.
      Just want to cover our bases.
      But what works for me may not work for others. YMMV
      Good luck with whatever solution you choose.

    One other concern is coverage. I have had Visible for years and every time I travel to the mountains (East coast) I lose signal because Visible does not have the roaming agreement to use other carriers towers. Verizon is spotty in the East coast mountains. Family members on T mobile and AT&T and even on a Verizon plans do not have this problem as they all have roaming agreements to use other carriers towers while Visible does not.
