(Edited due to recent events) Guys, I know that you’re excited, but constantly badgering EA_Sheperd is a step too far. They said that they’d respond when they get the word, so we just gotta be patient. I wan’t GW2 updates as much as the next guy, but we have to be prepared for the likely possibility that we won’t get any, thus we should keep Sheperd alone.

I really hope there is balance changes ATLEAST, because this is very manageable, and i doubt they will nerf twilight, what they need to do is just buff the weaker characters, this game has always been chaotic fun, so buffing the weaker characters would make it even more chaotic.

Thanks for posting this. I was really hoping to see some numbers associated with Fiesta 9/14/24. Hopefully November 3rd will bring another wave of players to potentially get EA's attention. All I am hoping for in the way of an update is to be able to complete the achievements on PS4 and letting the town hall have the other games it *used* to have (i.e. Boss hunt). Seems to me this wouldn't require a ton of new coding as is something they've already completed. Just turn it on and make it part of the rotation...
Hello twilight man, my dad is John popcap , CEO of popcap, I am hear to warn you that twilight chomper will be nerfed in the next gw2 update; unless you say that chomp thing is one of the best chompers, then twilight chomper will be nerfed (slightly) less.
Tbh as cool as it would be to get some fixes/balance changes to the game, I think that EA should also take this opportunity realize that there is still so much life in the franchise, and that they’re practically sitting on a gold mine as long as they can learn from their past mistakes (cough cough PvZ 3). Besides a new Garden Warfare, something as basic as a PvZ 1 remaster with upscaled textures and MAYBE a handful of new plants and zombies and levels for them could bring in so many people to the fandom, both old and new. Then again, being cautious is always important.
Yeah, it's pretty baffling how they're not actively trying to squeeze every last penny out of the franchise given how loyal its fans are. For the better or worse, that is a factor that they would definitely look at.
Don't mind me just putting up a wishlist for updates: -option to increase and decrease the score needed to win in private/solo play, team vanquish games with bots are too short. -option to play the removed modes like boss hunt and cats vs dinos in private/solo play -more time for trial of recollection (make it like 5 minutes) -extra ways to get rainbow stars -packs that have stickers exclusive to either plants or zombies, please game im trying to unlock foot soldier variants STOP GIVING ME SUNFLOWER STICKERS -balance changes -ways to just buy cosmetics without gambling for them via sticker packs

@@TwilightChomperEnthusiast Frankly it just looked like the normal janky physics. Sometimes running into moving terrain just kind...teleports you? Bean Jumping is almost entirely based on this aspect of the physics of the Frostbite Engine, for example
@@SnoFitzroy It was definitely a jump cut. None of the XP I got from vanquishing the soldier before it was there, so my character didn’t just teleport.
Something that sucks is that the player count is back to what it usually is on steam (prob all consoles too) and one of the reason I feel like this happens is cuz of how competitive the player base is. Everyone’s either a toxic player playing brain dead characters despite being max rank or something and you got the super sweats who play like their lives depend on it. I’ve been playing this game for so long now and I honestly feel like sometimes the game is just unplayable with players like these playing these ridiculous characters. If the game gets updated, certain characters like e pea absolutely need a nerf in damage (I’m thinking 27 down to 19) and captain cannon (32 to 25) at the top of my head. Characters like agent and super commando are decently balanced, it’s just that some people have crazy aim. I also feel like the community needs to be more welcoming, try to have fun rather than sweat all the time. Play a sunflower or something idk
Then it’s just a feedback loop. In order to break free of the competitive meta, Major balance shifts need to occur. This would lead to players having to re-discover what the best characters are and lead to a spot where everyone is on the same footing again. Support would also reel in new players, diluting the concentration of sweats thee are in the game. Active support would then influence the new players to stay in the game, instead of playing it for a week and then leaving it.
@@TwilightChomperEnthusiast that’s kinda what I meant with the detonation nerfs but yea. Also abilities should probably have certain nerfs and buffs. For example in gw1, retro Gatling did 14 damage per hit while Gatling did like 8, which actually gave more flexibility to choose one over the other. Stuff like nerfing stun grenades, buffing ultra ball to 125 damage, increasing red artichoke dps etc should also be taken to consideration, cuz this game honestly can feel ridiculous with how much game breaking stuff there is. Idk if they will update it unless we can actually keep players, but hopefully we can start somewhere. And yes getting active support for new players to have some separation from sweats would be nice

One thing I desperately want to see if they do end up updating GW2 is bring back the torchwood and hover goat skins. I wanted that toxic skin (I forgot what it’s called) so badly but I never got the chance because every time I would look at Rex he wasn’t selling it and the one time he did sell it to me I didn’t have the money, not even close and then boom they stopped selling it all together
It’s pretty nasty that not only do you have to pay to get the skin you want, but it’s a 50/50 on what you get, and it only works if you didn’t already unlock the character. If you already own them or got the wrong one, too bad!

I wouldn't be shocked if they don't update the game even after all the community hype, it is an old game with a practically finished development life cycle after all. That being said, as many have said before me, I just want the other mystery portal modes/modifiers back in the game (at least for private match). And if there was to be actual "new" content to be added, I just hope it's the addition of the GW1 sponsor characters and the GW1 Taco Bandits mode.
It was an event that happened on the 14th of September where we all agreed to just... play the game all day. Its purpose was to show unity as a community, and make an effort to show EA that the game is very much alive. It was a partial success, with enough players online at once to break a ton of the servers. We're planning on organizing another one to get EA to take notice again!
One question? Would it be possible for the 10 class concepts that didn't make it into GW 1 and BFN to come into GW 3 as the new classes? And would it also be possible to have 25 plants and zombie classes in GW 3?
There are ideas on the internet that GW 3 is the final war. Crazy Dave is the final boss for the zombie team. Dr.Zomboss is the final boss for the plant team.

Bro, there is so much merchendise potential with pvz, literally a gold mine for money if marketable right, people would go crazy for plushies, figures maybe even a tcg inspired by heroes
Interestingly enough, I have experimented with translating Heroes into an actual TCG, but with how much conjuring and random bits there are, it got difficult and brought my focus back to GW3 ideas.
@TwilightChomperEnthusiast true, also the appeal of heroes IS the random plays you can get with cards. Also, a game genre I think would easily suit pvz is a MOBA like style game. What do you think about it?
A second garden fiesta? Now that sounds fun, especially since I missed the first one while on vacation. Who knows, maybe it'll be a regular tradition every now and then! By technicality, yes, but as of late I have been playing a whole bunch of different characters to get footage for my other videos. It was nice to just play a match with him for the first time in a while.
Honeslty I wound just be fine with them making the mystery portal gamemodes switch. some achievements are impossible. A dream update for pvz gw2 would be them just adding Neighborville characters along with variants, though that's impossible due to the lack of a team. At this point I just pray for GW3
That seems to be the general consensus on things. I’d sure like it, because my console account still needs those achievements lol. GW3 is also something I’m praying for, which is why over half of my channel is dedicated to talking about a hypothetical for it!

while we for sure wont get NEW content, it would really cool with balance patches,tweaked mystery portal and maybe even banning modding in multiplayer on PC (may or may not be a hot take).
This gives me hope EA you have the capability PopCap you have the capability there may be no team available to work on the shooter games anymore, but there’s always the chance to make a new team. They won’t have the same skill set. They won’t know exactly what to do, but you can teach them.

I don't think a "proper" update is fully necessary to be fully honest. Like a lot of people are saying, just updating the Community Portal and making it so that we can 100% achievements without cheating would be nice. I *can't* get the Boss Hunt achieves because I prefer playing GW2 as a bit of a loner (ie, public lobbies and solo play, not queueing up with friends) and *getting achievements from a mod* doesn't feel quite right to me. That said, the trial bullshit isn't an achievement so I gladly used a timer mod LMAO. Also we just KNOW a "balance patch update" would nerf all the fun characters such as the Trial Guys, the special Chompers, and Plasma Pea (plasma IS fun and fair, people are just mean. 5 Meters is not that far, y'all are just terrible at dodging) and won't touch the Problem Children like Chemist and Electro Pea (or ANY of the Imps, especially SHRIMP and Z7). New variants would be nice, especially because it would be cool to see the upper limit of player ranks increase, but that's just not going to happen. And finally, *how are you so good at chompers, WOW*

Hey, sorry I didn’t respond earlier! The last update to GW2 was an anticheat update to the PC version a few months back. The last _content_ update was all the way back from 2019 when Twilight Chomper was added. The meta is practically nonexistent, but the best characters are definitely Law, Agent, Plasma, and Electro Pea, and on zombies it’s Astronaut and Super Commando.
You know what? I might as well bite the bullet, dust the ol' Unity off, and attempt to make a fan game there myself at the very least. Now, why would I even dare to make a cheap port of a beloved franchise on an complete different engine that the game itself was not designed for? 'Cause I'm Crrraaaaazzyyy!!! (and impatient :>)
More or less. I use him as the face of the channel and as the character I play as in generic background footage, but more often than not I’m playing someone else, usually because I need footage of that character.
nerf pea agent, plasma pea, electro pea, 6 shooter, paint engineer, super commando, pylon imp, shrimp imp, and z suppressor (make it harder for auto clickers).maybe pirates too. These plants and zombies i find annoying. . Ban hackers more importantly... impossible task. becomes a perfect game

One thing I desperately want to see if they do end up updating GW2 is bring back the torchwood and hover goat skins. I wanted that toxic skin (I forgot what it’s called) so badly but I never got the chance because every time I would look at Rex he wasn’t selling it and the one time he did sell it to me I didn’t have the money, not even close and then boom they stopped selling it all together
It’s pretty nasty that not only do you have to pay to get the skin you want, but it’s a 50/50 on what you get, and it only works if you didn’t already unlock the character. If you already own them or got the wrong one, too bad!
Can we PLEASE get a buff on my boy armor chomper? He went from being my fav in gw1 to being on life support in gw2

I wouldn't be shocked if they don't update the game even after all the community hype, it is an old game with a practically finished development life cycle after all.
That being said, as many have said before me, I just want the other mystery portal modes/modifiers back in the game (at least for private match).
And if there was to be actual "new" content to be added, I just hope it's the addition of the GW1 sponsor characters and the GW1 Taco Bandits mode.

As far as I’m aware (for PS), the online subscriptions aren’t run by the game itself, so GW2 wouldn’t have any say on it. It would be great though!

It was an event that happened on the 14th of September where we all agreed to just... play the game all day. Its purpose was to show unity as a community, and make an effort to show EA that the game is very much alive. It was a partial success, with enough players online at once to break a ton of the servers. We're planning on organizing another one to get EA to take notice again!

Bro, there is so much merchendise potential with pvz, literally a gold mine for money if marketable right, people would go crazy for plushies, figures maybe even a tcg inspired by heroes
Interestingly enough, I have experimented with translating Heroes into an actual TCG, but with how much conjuring and random bits there are, it got difficult and brought my focus back to GW3 ideas.
@TwilightChomperEnthusiast true, also the appeal of heroes IS the random plays you can get with cards. Also, a game genre I think would easily suit pvz is a MOBA like style game. What do you think about it?

By technicality, yes, but as of late I have been playing a whole bunch of different characters to get footage for my other videos. It was nice to just play a match with him for the first time in a while.
Honeslty I wound just be fine with them making the mystery portal gamemodes switch. some achievements are impossible. A dream update for pvz gw2 would be them just adding Neighborville characters along with variants, though that's impossible due to the lack of a team. At this point I just pray for GW3
That seems to be the general consensus on things. I’d sure like it, because my console account still needs those achievements lol. GW3 is also something I’m praying for, which is why over half of my channel is dedicated to talking about a hypothetical for it!

EA you have the capability PopCap you have the capability there may be no team available to work on the shooter games anymore, but there’s always the chance to make a new team. They won’t have the same skill set. They won’t know exactly what to do, but you can teach them.
The lack of a team is the biggest problem…

I don't think a "proper" update is fully necessary to be fully honest. Like a lot of people are saying, just updating the Community Portal and making it so that we can 100% achievements without cheating would be nice. I *can't* get the Boss Hunt achieves because I prefer playing GW2 as a bit of a loner (ie, public lobbies and solo play, not queueing up with friends) and *getting achievements from a mod* doesn't feel quite right to me. That said, the trial bullshit isn't an achievement so I gladly used a timer mod LMAO.
Also we just KNOW a "balance patch update" would nerf all the fun characters such as the Trial Guys, the special Chompers, and Plasma Pea (plasma IS fun and fair, people are just mean. 5 Meters is not that far, y'all are just terrible at dodging) and won't touch the Problem Children like Chemist and Electro Pea (or ANY of the Imps, especially SHRIMP and Z7). New variants would be nice, especially because it would be cool to see the upper limit of player ranks increase, but that's just not going to happen.
And finally, *how are you so good at chompers, WOW*
I feel like the general consensus is that content is coming second, while polish will be at the forefront. I go into more detail in my “Ranking Potential Updates for GW2” video which covers all of the topics.
Also, I surprised myself at my performance in that video. For the last while, I forced myself to play as other characters to get footage of them, so it felt really nice to just play a match with my main for once.

Hey, sorry I didn’t respond earlier! The last update to GW2 was an anticheat update to the PC version a few months back. The last _content_ update was all the way back from 2019 when Twilight Chomper was added. The meta is practically nonexistent, but the best characters are definitely Law, Agent, Plasma, and Electro Pea, and on zombies it’s Astronaut and Super Commando.

More or less. I use him as the face of the channel and as the character I play as in generic background footage, but more often than not I’m playing someone else, usually because I need footage of that character.
nerf pea agent, plasma pea, electro pea, 6 shooter, paint engineer, super commando, pylon imp, shrimp imp, and z suppressor (make it harder for auto clickers).maybe pirates too. These plants and zombies i find annoying. . Ban hackers more importantly... impossible task. becomes a perfect game
