Coverts are actually better muslims
As a designer, this was so relatable. I had to turn down a lot of high-paying projects and jobs because they had a haram element. But alhamdulillah in the end Allah provides you from places you don't expect.
Alhamdulillah, same and relatable.. Leaving Haram for Allah (SWT) will lead to Allah to give You more and Put more baraka to it on what you're doing Currently halal
Subhan Allah it really is. As a designer I've also had to turn down job opportunities because of the haram elements. Allah is the best of providers. The more haram we turn down, the more the Almighty provides.

The first time I read about Peter Gould was years ago when I was a journalist in a children's magazine in Indonesia. Amazed by his story as a muslim designer, I wrote an article about him in the magazine. Until now, I am still amazed by his achievement and his strong faith. Masya Allah, Tabarakallah.
Peter may never see this but I broke down in tears when he opened his door and was wearing the Palestine shirt. This man on the whole other side of the world has such iman and knowledge. I promise to make dua for him these last ten nights of Ramadan. He truly is an inspiration Mashallah ❤

As a kind of engineer in IT, I relate to some elements. Brothers and sisters, DO NOT compromise your religion. There are many halal options out there and it's not worth it. Anyways, very inspiring story, MashaAllah.
As a designer, I can TOTALLY relate to this. I didn't have the luxury of freelance projects, but looking for a job. A self taught designer, I knew I would struggle to get my foot in the door without any experience, but I persisted in designing my portfolio and 20 years later (part of me being lazy) I managed to get a job in the design field for a very big company in a certain industry. The pay is ok, but I knew wouldn't be designing anything that goes against me religion. The interview process was soooooooo easy, I woundnt even call it an interview, as it was an informal talk.
Alhamdulillah, been here a few years, they've given me my own prayer room (which I didn't ask for), allowed me to work for more days from home and they won't book any team dinners, unless it's 100% halal restuarnt/no alcohol. Alhamdulillah.
With such a firm foundation in pleasing Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, look how HE opens doors 😢😊

I have been looking for a job till now for the past 3 years in the design industry and because I was getting rejected from every possible chance I just gave up and said maybe it's not for me but after reading your story I will just trust Allah work hard and hope for the best, thank you ❤

All it needs is to be logical and avoid prejudices to embrace Islam. It's a religion that suits human nature and bring inner peace and closeness to God Allah.
Punishment for homosexuality in Islam
The Companions unanimously agreed on the execution of homosexuals , but they differed as to how they were to be executed. Some of them were of the view that they should be burned with fire, which was the view of ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and also of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), as we shall see below. And some of them thought that they should be thrown down from a high place then have stones thrown at them. This was the view of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him).
Some of them thought that they should be stoned to death, which was narrated from both ‘Ali and Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them).
After the Companions, the jurists differed concerning the matter. Some of them said that the homosexual should be executed no matter what his situation, whether he is married or not.
Some of them said that he should be punished in the same way as an adulterer, so he should be stoned if he is married and flogged if he is not married.
Some of them said that a severe punishment should be carried out on him, as the judge sees fit.
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah be pleased with him) discussed this issue at length, and he mentioned the evidence and arguments of the jurists, but he supported the first view. This is explained in his book al-Jawab al-Kafi li man sa-ala ‘an al-Dawa’ al-Shafi, which he wrote to deal with this immoral action. We will quote some of what he said:
“Because the evil consequences of homosexuality are among the worst of evil consequences, so its punishment is one of the most severe of punishments in this world and in the Hereafter.
The scholars differed as to whether it is to be punished more severely than zina, or whether the punishment for zina should be more severe, or whether the punishments should be the same. There are three points of view:
Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, Khalid ibn al-Walid, ‘Abd-Allah ibn al-Zubayr, ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Abbas, Malik, Ishaq ibn Rahawayh, Imam Ahmad according to the more sound of the two reports from him and al-Shafi’i according to one of his opinions, were of the view that the punishment for homosexuality should be more severe than the punishment for zina, and the punishment is execution in all cases, whether the person is married or not.
Al-Shafi`i, according to the well-known view of his madhhab, and Imam Ahmad according to the other report narrated from him, were of the view that the punishment, etc.

I am an interior architecture student. In my mind, I was always questioning between my religion and my job, just like this brother. Why did I choose this job? Couldn't I have chosen a job that would allow me to practice Islam better? These kinds of questions were always in my mind. Don't get me wrong, I am in love with Islam. I just wasn't sure about the job I chose. While I was thinking about these, Alhamdulillah this video inspired me. After graduating from university, I want to make beautiful works for Islam. He left what's haram for the sake of Allah, and Allah bestowed him much better in return. May Allah gather us all in Jannah with our beloved prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

The timing of this could not be more profound for me. I am leaving a life of banking and finance after nearly 20 years because it hasn't sat well with me for a while. I'm heading into unknown territory but I believe that Allah provides for all, and your rizk is yours only. As daunting as it is, we need to put trust in Allah SWT.

Idk I saw bright path in front of him. First meeting a family, than meeting his teacher which his name is similar to his name in a Arab country, and than opened many business from gaming to design. I saw from his history that he had twaqel and that’s why God chose him to become a Muslim and his path was so bright

"i didn't consciously want to come out and make myself a _professional Muslim_ I'd rather be _a professional who is Muslim_ and in that way have an impact on people through my work"
If every Muslim person acted on these words..(_doctor who is Muslim_,engineer who is Muslim_,designer who is Muslim...etc)
This may be a reason for others to convert to Islam as Peter entered Islam.
