... this literally sounds like every other soad song. Not hating on them but this certainly isn't breaking any new ground... a lot of bands who came up these guys are in their 50s now and doing it better.

Daron wrote the two new songs as well as most songs in Mezmerize/Hypnotize. His music style hasn't changed that much, that's why they sound so similar. His latest album, Dictator, also sounds a lot like that

This song sounds like it could've easily been lifted from Hypnotize. It's crazy to see that they can still capture that old magic and to hear Serj's aggressive vocals again is so amazing. Serj's vocals, Daron's writing, and their harmonies are what make System Of A Down such a great band.

This is literally the only band for which I can hear every random song I find over and over and never get bored, and this is no exception. I'm overjoyed to see they still got it.

But, now I understand how tough it is and deserves attention...Culture is obliged to say thank you to these guys, they turned over the alternative... Thank you from the heart to my favorites, you have always been and will be the best for me, your music helped me become a person, not a vegetable! Low bow!

That my friend is subject of opinion. Not fact. IMO their quality dipped after hypnotize. In both song quality and live performance quality. Though the latter was more of serj not giving a shit live anymore.

Bro. This actually is amazing. Listening to system of a down gets old after a while because they have less than 10 albums out so after a while you know all the songs by heart. But this, this is brilliant. Not only is it new, it still has that old SOAD feel to it. Those completely random, yet oddly melodic, riffs is just what I was missing. @@renansamlas I've said this before and I'll keep saying it. I'd rather them not put out an album than force on out. I think something that contributes to them not wanting to put out an album is the fact that a new album has been hyped up so much by fans that no matter what they put out it wont meet expectations. Even if its good in wont be as good as some might have hoped. At most I'd like a live album of some sort. Wake Up the Souls would be awesome since the videos I've seen of that tour were badass.
