My daughter and I are in agreement that those Snorlax slippers are absolutely adorable! For your first time you have done a fabulous job designing them! You definitely have 2 new fans!
With the snorlax slipper you made, you could potentially leave the space you’d put your foot and place a hot water bottle inside of it and create a flap to keep it in
They are adorable! And probably so, so warm and comfortable. The stuffing under the sole will flatten, fairly quickly. I would also wear them because I have my own collection of crocheted and knitted slippers plus, I always thought "why should only babies have cute slippers" so, I made and make myself whatever I want, in adult size.
Wow I have been crocheting for a long time and I always try to challenge my self but I have never even thought of doing this this changes my perspective of levels of difficulty in crochet This is truly amazing
Uh, Leigh…it’s the bottom of the slipper. It doesn’t need to be aesthetically pleasing, it just needs to protect your feet and keep you from slipping and falling. But the designer in you is strong. LOL BTW…love the slippers!
Very creative plushy character slippers! They would make great warm slippers especially for kids. There are videos with suggestions for different liquid materials that can be applied to slippers to make nonslip soles. You might find that a more appealing approach.
These are AMAZING! One of my nieces is going through a chunky novelty slippers phase, as I did at pretty much the same age, so this is definitely going in my 'Project Ideas' playlist. Thank you, and bravo!! Ps, as soon as I saw your first version, I was like 'yeah, she's not going to be able to walk in those' 🤭
I am still learning how to do amigurumi, but I have done some doll shoe crochet before. I think you did a wonderful job, but it might have been a bit easier to make the bottoms in an oval or to use the flip-flop (thong) and make holes in them to crochet on. Your slippers turned out so cute, and I wouldn't be too scared or embarrassed to wear them. Slippers are allowed to be big, and cute, and fluffy, and totally out of this world!
For your too big one, crochet a panel and make it a hidey spot for something you want to hide (or that your nephew might want to hide.)...For the final pair, you could incorporate the bottoms as 'ground' and add grass leaves coming from it up the sides to make it look like they are laying in grass and the bottom is just dirt.
I'm actually kind of jealous of the summer weather. For me this vid came out in the middle of a week of massive snow storms, and now I'm tempted to try making my own slippers because its so cold
Leigh I cannot tell you how much this video made me smile! I absolutely LOVED the first Snorlax slipper, it bought me so much joy to see you try it on. If you ever decide to sell it, keep me in mind 😉! On another note - I think you can actually buy the slipper soles as a separate item so you can make your own slippers. Not sure if they would be appropriate for crocheting into - but you might be able to glue them onto a piece of crochet. As always, love your videos. I hope your pain isn't too bad at the moment (we are in winter here so I am DYING of pain right now), if you want to spare some warmth for a fellow spoonie I will absolutely take it 😂
This is a wicked idea... If I was going to make it I would have started with the thongs, and used them as the base, then crocheted into them. But I'm a lazy git lol Don't stuff the belly of the big slipper. Add a belly patch but leave it open. As a pocket for remote and snacks for film nights.
These are so cute! I was wondering if you would make a kangaroo pouch on the original Snorlax when you filled in the foot-opening. Best wishes from Czechia!
The old Snorlax looks like it has s pouch. You could open up the top of the belly patch and make a smaller Snorlax to put in there? Your niblings might like that 😊
Instead of adding the head to the end, you should have made the head a little on top near the end like he was kind of sitting up. I think that would have been really cool looking.
That's what I was expecting lol. A smaller, round head perched on top. Plenty of Pikachu slippers showing what I mean, but most of them have the head looking out. Spinning it around so his neck is at an angle looking at you feels a bit strange to me (like he's asking me why my feet are in his belly) but it might be cuter!
the alternative would have been to start with the thong base..most slippers that use this base always work around the edge of the thong and work up/out..this way you could have reduced the bulkiness as well..but they do look cute..I've made slippers using thongs myself and I pretty much wore then out..I need a new pair, just haven't found a pair of thongs to use as yet...you go a size smaller than you would normally buy because you are getting rid of the strap..and plug the holes with the plugs, cut off the straps and glue them in place..
@noizeemama3697 Anime is a genre, like cartoons. Actually, if you break it down as simply as possible, anime is Japanese cartoons (but like cartoons today not all anime is geared towards kids.) Pokémon is an anime. I would ask your granddaughter what specific anime she likes besides Pokémon, and what characters she likes from them. Searching for just "anime patterns" is as vague as searching for "cartoon patterns" and unfortunately won't help you much lol.
Sorry but is there a place where I can get a written pattern for those? I have a much easier time following written patterns than video ones to be honest. I'd even be willing to pay for it! Please 🥹
Right foot and leg are triggers for me, too. Oof. 🥄🥄🥄 Fantastic idea for this bingo series! 43:33 THIS is why YOU are a designer and I am a tech editor! You are BRILLIANT, Leigh! BLOODY BRILLIANT. ☺️🧡 xx

This was EXACTLY what I was thinking! A big wam snuggly snorlax plush!

I know you were trying to avoid amigurumi but a *HUGE* Snorlax that's big enough to block a much-needed path in your home would have been amazing 😂
Your commitment to this project was next level Leigh! Great job, they turned out so well 💙 bring on the cooler weather so you can wear them lol

Love you videos 💕 a suggestion u could try if u ever make slippers or footwear. Try beads of glue on the bottom for them not to slip when walking ❤
My favorite project you've done all year!!!!! They are ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY ADORABLE!!! I love them!!! Ingenious for the nonslip bottoms! YOU ROCK!!!
I thought they are terrific. I am envious. You are so clever.
Absolutely adorable!

the construction of these are pretty brilliant! they look super comfy and they totally give the vibe of the 90's pokemon craze
Good job. I haven’t been brave enough to do slippers yet - afraid of falling - but I’ve thought about it
Those are super cute. The fluff will flatten out when you wear them more. Thanks for sharing
I love all the Snorlaxes. You did a great job on all of them!
Ok im making slippers for my kids for Christmas now
This is a wicked idea... If I was going to make it I would have started with the thongs, and used them as the base, then crocheted into them. But I'm a lazy git lol
Don't stuff the belly of the big slipper. Add a belly patch but leave it open. As a pocket for remote and snacks for film nights.
You need to learn how to make doll/baby shoes. They start from the center of the shoe and work in rounds. It works super nicely!
Patience! But I hope you can try them soon! So cute!
They are so cute. Yes I'd wear them
for safety you could dot puff paint on the bottom of the slippers. big dollops of puff paint.
These are so cute! I was wondering if you would make a kangaroo pouch on the original Snorlax when you filled in the foot-opening. Best wishes from Czechia!
They are amazing. I would definitely make them for a Pokémon lover.

I love them, curses because now I have to make 2 pairs. One for me and my son will nick the other pair.
They came out so well!
My son is getting some Snorlax slippers!
you could always use it as a shopping bag holder XD
So😂cute! I am going to try those. Thanks!
Love them!
They are cute! You could leave the flip flop (thong as you call them) out and use fabric glue on the soles it's a good grip
These are amazing!!!
Turn the original into a candy dish!
Fantastic!
Amazing!!

Is that teal sweater you're wearing at about 12:00 crochet by chance? It is so beautiful I would love to make one for myself if it is
IS THERE A PATTER FOR THE HAT??? I NEED IT
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
You could make the second one and sell them.
Is that a moss themed rug/tapastry in the background? Do you have a tutorial for that? Ive been wanting to make a moss rug for a few years now❤❤
She made it in the video "Torturing Myself With Crochet! (Pinterest Made Me Do It)" It's not really a tutorial, but it might help.
I hope you release a pattern for this. I wanna make myself a pair
Love your cap! Do you have a pattern? I would love to make this for my granddaughter.
I need to find anime patterns. That's her favorite right now, but she still loves pokemon.

@@PointsofData I have a list from her due to christmas

I do have a written version but it's only available on my Patreon.
Actually, Snorlax has feet the same color as his under belly and white toenails/claws"?"
They may be clown shoes, but they should be effective toe stumping preventers
Right foot and leg are triggers for me, too. Oof. 🥄🥄🥄
Fantastic idea for this bingo series!
