Seriously, All Majordomo needs to be decent is if, like in the Blackrock fight against him on Normal Mode, you gain 8 Armor in addition to the 8 HP.
The only reason Blizz gave him 8 HP is so it stays consistent with the in-game card. If it gave you 8 Armor as well, you'd have 16 in total, so he'd actually be pretty cool.

You may as well just run Ragnaros in your deck, he does the same basic thing and, if he dies, doesn't kill you as well.

What if it gave you 8 health + 8 armor when you become Ragnaros, as it does in the BRM fight?
That would be OP almost better than lord jaraxxus.
Feldani Gaming Jaraxxus would still be a lot better. Since you control when you become Jaraxxus, you can attack immediately for 3 damage with his 3-8 weapon and create a 6-6 body each turn for 2 mana. Even with one more health, Majordomo can be killed off by your opponent to set you to "16 health" then combo you down, and you can't always reliably trigger the deathrattle yourself. The hero power, while powerful, is unreliable.
Dreamchime That would be great. It would not be OP because you can't regain the armor (unless you have ice barrier, shield block etc.). This would at least mean you don't necessarily lose the game instantly when Sneed's pops this guy out. Also, recombobulator on a 9 drop used to be safe, now not quite as much...
Dreamchime I think you'd need a 10 mana 30health 30 armor deathrattle like in heroic for it to match jaraxxus

Cause its fun. One time, i played as tempomage against a druid, he played majodomo and i got him as well beacause of mirror, theni tradet both with each other and we spammed 1.30 minutes only the emotes of rag :D it was really cool

While they won't be likely to put the best legendaries in the solo adventures, Majordomo just doesn't make sense. His design is deliberately terrible, and I don't like that.

Meh it would be better if rag came out at 8 health but your max health would be 15 like jaraxxus but you come out with 8 health because it's "too soon", ragnaros came wounded because it wasn't the right time to summon him (it never is its always too soon) but not even that, blizzard really didn't even try with this card

Majordomo is actually a really good card in some decks.
1) Have Domo in deck
2) Lorewalker, then mind games
3) opponent plays mind games, gets domo
4) SW Death, followed by 8 face
5)profit

I was really hoping that your hero comes back (with same hp) after you die as Ragnaros. The card text actually says 'replace your hero with Ragnaros' whereas Jarraxus says 'destroy your hero and replace'. If they did this, Majordomo might actually become a viable card for control type decks. This would also make the card very interesting to play around and create some pretty amazing situations.

I made a Warr Majordomo deck,that is based a bit on emperror thaurisan to reduce the cost of sunfury protector by 1.When im at 10 mana crystals and about 10 health depending on how many burst cards the opponent has used. I play Majordomo and taunt it and before doing this i usualy hold a Shield block to gain 5 armor and draw a card for more survivability,shieldmaiden is also very good in this deck.Keep in mind that the armor you have before becoming ragnaros will be lost,thats why you need to save a few armor cards.

TGT has made him a lot stronger because of cards like Coldarra Drake. Still pretty hard to pull off without dying, though

Evangelina Edgeworth Seriously though, people have fun doing different things. Getting a new hero with a pretty strong hero power is pretty quirky, and will be fun to a lot of people - even if the health total makes it uncompetitive and very fragile.
The only time he is viable is if you have him out when someone plays sylvanas and doesn't have BGH. You give him your domo and kill him.

Have you tried this with mage Ice armor and ice block? This makes is to that have to kill Majordomo to brake tempo, break 8 armor, and break ice block, in time which you can cast your hero power at least 2 times.

What about Millhouse Manastorm? I would say he is almost as bad as Majordomo, at least against certain classes, like rogue.
Simon G Depends, turn 10 against a rogue with 2 or 3 cards, milhouse is ok, and if your health is not too low, majordome is waay worse, especially against mage or rogue, Milhouse is bad, bu you can use him sometimes, majordomo is just bad, I'd say 90% of the games he actually wins you, you would've won without it or with any other 9 drop
Milhouse can sometimes give some value (sometimes), majordomo is always a punishment
Milhouse saw competitive play (mostly during pre-Naxx-days) Domo won't - Ever.
krokodeal1 yeah there are certain decks that don't have/ want to use the spells to counter Millhouse. Just like there are certain decks which are screwed over by ancestral call.

How about now with TGT: Majordomo + Maiden of the Lake + Coldarra Drake
rarely is that combo ever made, they just board clear them.. you need those to live for a turn while u set up domo without dying first....
+Themightyinvader You can summon Ragnaros and Survive with Ice Barrier + Ice Block, then you have Coldarra Drake Survive for a turn, usually alongside something like a freeze, with Molten Giants if you have them to steer removal away from the Drake. The following Turn you summon the Lady of the Lake and fire 6 fireballs.
How about Majordomo Executus: 6/9 Deathrattle: Replace your hero with Ragnaros and be Invincible until the end of your turn?

such a disapointing card. i love the concept though.
Jaraxxus:
- Triggered by you.
- Sets your health to 15.
- Hero power is arguably better, because it's not random.
- Gives you a weapon.
Majordomo
- Triggered by the person that kills it.
- Sets your health to 8.
- No weapon.
- Probably skipperinos kripperinos.
You can use it with fatigue (not milling) archetype. An example would be a mage running Ice Barriers, Ice Blocks, Healbots, Alexstrasza, Majordomo and Deathwing, with plenty of means to keep opposing minions locked down (e.g. freeze) or otherwise off the board. You'll almost always play Majordomo and Deathwing as your two last cards after exhausting your opponent, or otherwise use the secrets and Alex after triggering Majordomo's Deathrattle.
It's not going to be ladder competitive, but it's definitely functional.
Back in the days when he and his room looked good.
Make him gain 4 armor at the end of the turn for free and it's fine v: (Rag mode)
Or then make rags hero power "Deal 4 damage to all enemies"
And make him start with an 9 2 weapon "sulfurus'

Got one out of an unstable portal. Used it when I was down to 4 health and won the game vs shaman while he was at 17.

I'm tired of Kripp saying top deck this, top deck that. He does it all the time as if it's the result of some ridiculous luck. The fact you say it all the time means it's normal. It's a game where you draw cards and play them. And you can only hold 10, on average less. Which means every game you will have a significant fraction of cards you will play after you draw them. It's not hard to do the math on this. You "top deck" stuff all the time too, you just don't notice it.
QuantumBraced Top deck means to draw the exact card you need at the exact moment you need it.
QuantumBraced It's part of his persona/character. Kripp wouldn't be Kripp if he didn't complain about getting unlucky. If you don't like it then don't watch his videos. He's not going to stop and no amount of you complaining about it will ever do anything. The only thing you can do to change the way he acts for his stream/videos is to stop watching. If enough people stop then he will too.
QuantumBraced the difference between 'top deck' and 'played from hand' is if it's merely played from hand, you can test for it on the previous turn and if he doesn't have it, then you don't have to play around it... EXCEPT for top decks. That's why he distinguishes the two 100%.

Hey kripp, not sure if you read these but... what i did was: i wanted to play Demon Lock, but i dont have the legendary demons, so i chose thaurissan, and majordomo as subs for that, so what i'd do was keep majordomo to combo with thaurissan, bgh or shadowflame, so that i could use it as a finisher, worked 8/10 times
I think it would be good if when rag is summoned, the opponents turn ends immediately and the player with rag as hero gets 2 of the 3 rag cards in the Lord Victor Nefarius fight, excluding DIE INSECT since that is the hero power. It would give Rag a lot of strength.
so with TGT this Card will be pretty crazy good right ? 10xragnaros heropower + inspire effects

KingZthe2nd I hate it when people spread false information. It was stated by one of the blizzard employees that Alextrasza will change ragnaros's health to 15. I saw it in action in one of the noxious videos.
Freak2315 I feel like you didnt watch the video. They even demonstrated that you can go to 15 HP through alextrazsa. This is due to the fact that her card effect doesnt say to heal, but to "set" your HP to 15.
How does Rag's Hero Power interact with the Hunter minion that lets you target with your Hero Power?
Patricia Cross At the moment it won't interact but blizzard got the question and they said that they would work on it.
If they do fix that it could be the one thing to possibly make this card useful and maybe make control Hunter a thing. Likely not but it would be neat at the very least.

Didn't they have another version of him if you played as ragnaros in the tavern brawl majordomo was I this a 4 drop a 2/4 I think with battlecry: cast corrupt on all other minons I think I'm right?
can alexstraza bring life back up to 15 after rag comes out? would kinda make at least some little sense in a dragon deck while holding alex in hand
It should give you a secret do that when you take lethal damage, you become ragnaros. That would be incredible.
What about becoming ragnaros and using alextraza? or armoring up?
kripp now that tgt is out. can you look in to rags effectiveness with hero power cards like coldarra drake, fallen hero, maiden of the lake, etc.

I was thinking maybe they should make it to where you have 8 attack like rag does but you can't attack either but your hero power cost 0 mana in order to make it more like rag while also buffing it (unless you play paly, rogue, or warrior)
Honestly, you can basically consider Majordomo Executus' Deathrattle to be.
Deathrattle: Deal X damage to yourself where Currently health - x = 8.
It's honestly REALLY bad. It's so sad too considering its fucking Ragnaros. I personally believe the card needs a complete rework.
Here's my idea: Majordomo Executus: 7 Mana 7/5 - Deathrattle: Your Hero becomes Ragnaros the Firelord and gains 8 Armor.
Ragnaros - Hero: 8 Health (+8 Armor)
Hero Power - Die. Insect: Deal 8 damage to a random enemy
Weapon - Sulfuras: 8/1 Weapon with effect: Cannot be used if Die. Insect was cast this turn: Deathrattle: Cannot cast Die. Insect this turn.

If it gave you 8 armor alongside the 8 health like it did for the actual boss, it would be so much better.

Put that card in that shaman legendary combo deck (the one when you summoned all those Kel'thuzads) and I think it'd work out
if you get major domo from an unstable portal, and are able to lower its cost even further with emp, you can combo it with the card that lets you use your heropower as much as you want, and without anything else, that totals 80 damage split among your opponents... (yeah I know this setup takes forever)

i tried this deck for a bit in ladder (rank 18ish) and i got to play that setup around 4 or 5 times, but in all of those i was in complete control of the game, which is very unlikely to happen in the current meta, twas satisfying as hell tho, watching ppl concede from 28 health
