Where I feel as though YOU’RE speaking from a very genuine perspective that I appreciate and can agree with, the larger issue is that this is very hard to have an honest and informed convo with the general public. Society has taken the feminist ideology to full steam for the last few decades. It’s suggested and pushed within every institution of western society. And we can now see its effects at a cultural level. Single-motherhood has raised children, men being told masculinity is oppressive, the empowerment of female promiscuity, the drive to sit atop social hierarchy, etc. For decades our culture has inculcated these ideas into young minds. At the expense of young men’s strength and confidence within themselves. The Feminist movement was always a direct attack on the masculine. It was the divisive derision. I believe it was also inevitable, given the ignorance of mankind. And from the modern Feminist perspective, why should it stop when there’s so much opportunity and advantage being given. It takes a wisdom, an awareness, and an honesty to even begin to peek through the veil toward the truth. The truth is that both Femininity and Masculinity have a place. You’re right that they shouldn’t be at odds, but they are distinguished. The feminine is the cradle, the nurturer, the formless expanse. The masculine is the drive, the action, the direction. Abrahamic religion places the Patriarch at the head for this idea. It’s the notion of appealing to a higher authority. Children to women, women to men, and men (and all) to a Supreme Being. Personal ego being the thing to submit. Modern Feminism chooses the opposite; appealing to Self as supreme. Pride-fullness becoming the theme. Getting the prideful to hold awareness and accountability is always a first step, and it’s still barely talked about. I appreciate your light-heartedness. It’s very feminine and it’s very warm to see. If only you represented the majority. The absence of true masculinity and femininity is the reason why so many people are lost, listless, and struggling.
Don't you think social media caused people to distance themselves from actual social interaction? Individuals were finally able to say what they feel without direct pushback. I way to hide out and see how others react. About 8 years ago, I began putting my phone down while at home, and it gave me a way to disconnect. Spending time with my animals and not worrying about all the drama gives me a sense of calm.
No, it removes people's filters and shows their true face and intentions. Social media is just a tool; the person using it is in control of the decision-making process of what to do with it.
