Here are some exercises that (unexpectedly) made my life easier! "Hybrid Fitness Routine" is free on my website and linked on my profile if you're looking for one. No login needed, so feel free to just check it out! I tried to pick exercises in this video that weren't the obvious ones, like bar hanging etc. I also didn't mention ones that reduced pain, since I feel like that's a slightly different topic. Straight arm lifting helped more things feel lighter, especially during manual labor. While the same muscles are worked during things like pushups, pullups, handstand pushups, etc, it just made a huge different even with a small amount of weight. The "curl position" is underrated for daily functionality, in my opinion. I got into fitness with calisthenics, so I never paid much attention to curls until I started doing isometrics. While curls are usually meant to grow the bicep, I've found it to be very handy for carrying things as well. Lastly, I've been doing more physical labor recently and it often involves squatting down in "unusual" ways. While we don't NEED this, it's convenient when I'm in a hurry. The alternative would be to move one thing at a time, etc. However, if you're new to this, I recommend getting comfortable with multiple full, deep, bodyweight squats first if you haven't done so already! That's what I have for now. Have a wonderful day!
Love you videos they are really interesting on what the human body is really capable of. You should consider doing a Collab with the stay flexy guy. I like his videos too. 😊😊

It's funny too because all of those movements are excellent for bodybuilding. Even the deep knee flexion squats, it reminded me of sissy squats which are the ultimate quad isolator
I tell people "I just want to work out so I can make my body do what I want." Turns out I just want the Hampton-type fitness. Thank you for being my goal 🙌
You can build up! Regular squats, narrow squats, staggered squats (one leg in front or to the side), and then assisted one leg squats holding on to a pole or something. And thank you so much for watching and being here!
Balancing on a rounded object, in flip flops, while carrying something one handed to throw off your center of gravity… That was a hard flex sir, and I tip my hat to you.
Even though it was clear from the video what he was doing, it seems like only after I read your comment I came across that he was actually doing something that's not that easy as he makes it look. He acts so naturally while doing wild stuff that having someone pointing it out makes you realize how challenging that could be for anybody else
As someone who has a bachelors in kinesiology and in masters degree in exercise science I appreciate what this guy is doing. He gives some good detail to back up his claims.
Very true! These odd exercises seem to have no use until you realize these are movements you actually USE, all day long. You might not be lifting a log, but you might be lifting a heavy toddler, and exercising those muscles will make these things easier😊

I love doing plank rotations. With proper form, forcing your extended arms to hold your body weight touches on that functional strength he brought up. “Everything becomes easier by comparison!”
I love this way of giving people advice in short clips. Probably one of my favorite trends so far, I absorb everything so much better! Commenting to keep it in my feed ❤️
I love your energy so much- ive finally made progress on my shoulder mobility so I've needed some new exercises Hearing that unusual form squats are good too actually makes me feel better lol
Mannn, you are the reason why im built like i am now, thank you so much!!!!!! I cant thank you enough, not only you made me know the proper way to do certain workouts, your videos taught me proper posture also! You are a great man😄
only as a parent do you understand dad strength 😂 carrying around a growing weight is a REALLY good long term workout, bonus if you keep it up and can pick your kid up when they're 20 or 30 😂😂
It's funny how training specificity works. I can curl 50lb+ dumbbells no problem, but if I hold my 20lb niece for more than 5-10 minutes my arm feels like it wants to fall off. My sister, by comparison, struggles to curl 20lb dumbbells but can hold her daughter for hours with no problem.

My friend, you are an inspiration. Using your advice, I switched to zero-drop toe box shoes and worked on lower into a squat. Now, after 6 months, I can rest in a squat and slowly, slowly stand up to maximize strength. I have moderately severe osteoarthritis in my knees and am 60 years old, so this is a really big deal. My knees have gone from being weak and stiff to being strong and pain-free. It has not been easy, but the progress has been paying off in much greater comfort and mobility.
The way squats and curls have helped me SO much as mother. Being able to squat down and pick up my two toddlers (both in the 80-90th percentile wieghing a total of about 80lbs) became a hell of a lot easier once I started working out frequently.
