I'm glad you made this video. I seriously considered getting a monkey about 10 years bc I was fortunately able to give it care 24/7 UNTIL I deep dived in & researched what it took to care for them. The TWO reasons I quickly changed my mind is: 1. The way they RIP THE BABIES OUT OF THE MOTHER'S ARMS! (They cry for each other for about a year.) Women need to think how they would feel if their baby was taken from them a day or two after giving birth. Any woman would be inconsolable. Well so are the Monkeys. Mom AND baby! 2. It's NOT fair to the baby monkey. They need to be around their own kind. Would a human like to be raised by anything other than humans?! Sorry for my long comment. People need to know.

I’m peruvian and my family from peru has many exotic animals. From monkeys, reptiles, birds from the amazon jungle. We typically always get more than one monkey. It is better to get them in pairs as they learn from each other. It’s better in the long run especially if you want your monkeys to be socialized. They are not aggressive or tend not to be if they have another monkey with them. Monkeys are highly social animals and they need to be kept in pairs. I would suggest getting another one.

We’ve been living alongside them for centuries and they’re still not common in homes like dogs and cats. No, it’s not how you raise them. Any human owned monkey is mentally traumatized. Period.
Monkeys will always be the alpha. You can’t take wild out of a wild animal
Nope! Primates are not PETS. PERIOD.
Sweet mother of God !!!
I really wanted to watch this video for the info within...and i did watch it until the end...but sweet Jesus the narrator ..his distraction..his "umms" and "ahhhs " and his flat mundane monotone made it all i could endure to finish watching.
If you are going to post an informative video...for the love of God do some preparation or get someone else to narrate so that your viewers do not lose patience and switch off.
HOWEVER..I did make it throygh the entire clip and it was informative so I guess his goal was accomplished.
Thank you for posting..there was some good info in the clip.
I am curious if after it goes to its new home and undergoes castration, if the procedure might not make him less aggresive ?.
We spoil our snimsld😊
His English is muffled
And not the monkeys
Wow!!!
Correction it depends on how you raise them if u raise them with being social like used to being around ppl yes they do and will get aggressive but I know of plenty of monkey owners that have there monkeys in public and have ppl over and not once have anyone been attacked.monkeys are socal creatures it up to the parent on how they are reared.but I do agree that they shouldn't be pets just bc they belong in the wild in there natural homes.thsnk you for finding him a sanctuary that will give him what he needs
Yeah... no thanks.
❤I would love a monkey that stays small. I raised 3 boys and their all grown,so I would love a constant companion I have nothing but time to spend with a finger monkey. It's a shame it's not legal have or adopt a little one to love.
...Barb, hon... You don't seem to be getting the point... 9_9;;
@@kymo6343eah we get it Adolf you feel better knowing they are getting poached and murdered in their natural habitat of Africa.
Yup! Your age group is what makes up the majority of monkey nutters on RUclips. You CANNOT domesticate any monkey for human life. Check your ego
Get a hobby or volunteer at a Neo-natal ward - my God how incredibly selfish!
A monkey that stays small but will never be domesticated no matter how much time you spend with it
You can tell the previous owner abused him...

No meant for pets . Leav monkey in the jungle. Breeders stop breeding for money.
Damn subtitles "um..."

Knuckles: what's the worst that can happen
See no consequences
Poor endangered animal if you really cared about it you would give it to a rescue center where they will find a troop for it but no
Did you watch the video? That's what the entire video was about. A zoo took the monkey in.
I want baby pigtail
It's illegal. Why? Endangered species. Also, as they become adults, the cuteness goes. They sexually mature. Never can be "potty trained". Don't buy into the BS.
You can adopt from a shelter. They have more than cats and dogs.
He's so docile. Was he abused? Most channels i follow the Monkey are full on ADHD mode. He's so cute. I want a Monkey but wouldn't be a good fit for the type of life they deserve.
Would love to have him
To quote John McEnroe,.’you cannot be serious,’
U have got to keep your hand on it the hole time that's crazy u never stopped looking or touching it wow yea that's your life hell no !!

More than likely baby mama sets they get whatever diseases that human have I can tell you haven't done very much of your homework I will never donate my monkey of a marmoset to the zoo
I wouldn't have a chimp as a pet because that would be more worse to handle, but what about those baby monkeys where you have to take care of them like actual babies?
Honestly I would raise a baby monkey because it's like a child you have to care for. ❤🥰
They are NOT little humans! They all grow up, and have the same problems. Putting them in human clothes and walking upright isn't normal for them! (nor natural) And what happens when it grows up? Are you still going to put up with him? Monkeys are NOT pets!
If you want a child, then get a child! Monkeys are NOT children!
@@Robbie-sk6vc No not baby chimps, those little ones that stay little forever.
@@Robbie-sk6vc First off I'm 16 I can't adopt yet till 18, and I would like to have those little monkeys as a pet, I'm not talking about the big chimps I'm talking about the littler monkeys that stay little forever, even though they grow up. And those ones that have to have "baby like" essentials, for using the bathroom and all that type of stuff, and I just think it's cute when they're all dressed up in a little shirt. Like I see videos on how they take care of them. Also I can do whatever, I don't need somebody telling me that I should go get this, instead of getting what I actually want to have. And I had some friends that were my age, that took care of pets like the littler baby monkey one's.
Nice try. You’re just trying to keep all the monkeys to yourself.
This monkey is huge!
And your funny! You don't know much about monkeys I guess? That's a small kind.
They need uvd light as well and to train them not to bite you have to give them a little pinch on the butt so they'll learn not to buy in that that is not okay you are making yourself an example of a horrible Daddy
Ah ha ha it doesn't want to be with you
Marvin said monkeys are not horrible pets you just have to learn to be patient and learn how to train them properly don't you ever see like my composure and all them Marvin said monkeys are the most tamed and used to humans so what are you talking about there
Mama said monkeys are not taking from their mothers you are talking about regular wild monkeys they get taken from their mothers not marmosets Barbara sets are used for the pit trade nothing more but many people want to have these cute little critters because they are adorable Marmoset sets are great lovable human pets
If they don't come from their mothers are they hatched? They don't need a mother's milk and interaction with their own kind? I'm afraid mama needs to do some more research.
Of course, they are taken from their mothers. That is why the mothers are bred. They take the baby to sell it.
🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦no sences dude
If you can't handle it meet me in TX and ill take it
Went to a sanctuary
He's in the UK...lol
@@catwoman2596 so? You can import domesticated animals.
@@DodgeMcCarty ok...do you have the proper paperwork and licenses to do so? Regardless you can't have one shipped (air mail) to your door as you have to physically meet. My point was why would someone from the United Kingdom meet you in Texas? I mean, if you have 30,000$ dollars to RESCUE a $6,000 monkey wouldn't you go pick it up from the UK?
@@catwoman2596 paperwork isn't an issue and you obviously have no idea how to ship animals I know more than you do and money sure as fuck not a problem. You have no idea what I do for a living. Hell I might be involved in exotic animals, hell I just might have a ranch that is home to exotic animals. So next time don't run your mouth online.
What again then took is little monkey away from mom 🐵 oh no. Bless at little monkey please don't hurt at monkey. What are you planning to with is monkey are you hurting at monkey. Now the monkey is 👎 not for pets sir. You better not abuse at monkey. Leaving alone. Let him free.
You've got some issues...listening is one.
Did you watch the video??? He gave 10 reasons why NOT to get a monkey!!!
If he is such an animal lover why dont he set it free it obviously looks sad
You can't just set a monkey free!
And another thing you don't abandon your baby mama said monkeys because they are the ones that end up suffering the most the girlfriend who left this poor little creature she said idiot and a hypocrite and cold-hearted over a man really now that's dumb pets are always number one priority compared to a man
Who is Mama???
Marmor+sett=marmosett. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha 🐒
I dont do the zoo who wants to pay to look at miserable animals caged and being laughed at by humans one day the tables will be turned only then will humans see what it feels like so cruel what a life
Keeping an animal in a cage is pure hell for the animal let it be free
Shame on you you have wrecked his life and now your shipping him off to another cage and a miserable life good going
