Hit or miss with ALL "new" OOTB carbs it seems. Looks like you got a good one!! I have installed several Holleys that wouldn't run brand new, and the first BG Speed Demon I tried (750dp) was pig rich no matter what I did, on a mild 360 and even a .509" cammed 440!! Had really good luck with QuickFuel carbs, only had one that went bad on a customer's car he let sit in the paint shop for a year, and it wouldn't even respond to a rebuild. It's a crapshoot for sure!! Love the Duster series!!
I would really like a video with all your speed secrets in this car . I think you said the duster ran a 12.9-13.0 with 3.23 gears and a cam smaller than a stock 340.
It’s all in the combination. Everything works together in his car. Small cam that’s a perfect match for the 8.something:1 compression, running a 904 instead of a 727, good flowing heads, dual plane manifold. Everything works together, there’s no mismatch here. Properly tuned with some weight reduction and grippy tires, and there’s the high 12’s pass. Puts a bunch of people with way more into their cars to shame.
I'm trying to share them... tuning/timing/ the cam makes low end torque which works well with the stock torque converter and 3.23's .. Hoping for a 12.8 on Saturday with the loss of 90 lbs!
The only other carb I've ever had do like that ie- ran as soon as it went on is a Holley from Holley rebuild. In my opinion there half the cost with none of the headache. Great job 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Another great video, keep up the great content. I’ve been using an Edelbrock 750 and have been told at the track that I need to get rid of that by actually most individuals. I can’t seem to get my car to break into the 14 seconds here in Colorado. I know there are many factors to doing that, do you see an issue with using Edelbrock? Or do you see an advantage with the Holley, quick fuel, brawler.?
Thanks! I've run both Edelbrocks and Holleys and while I prefer Holley's for performance, that edelbrock will run past 14's, even in the Colorado altitude!
My 950 brawler was warranteed because the front squirter wouldn’t squirt. They sent it back “fixed”. It’s still not right. 🙃. Glad yours is doing well!
Wow! I had to take 4 sizes out of my 650 and find a Excelerator pump cam for my brawler . Nice! Now that is how it should work! Maybe I should just get a 750.
Can’t wait to see what haters will say when this car eventually runs 12.5s after 1 or 2 additional changes. Such a mild build and already in the 12’s. You could daily drive this car if you wanted to.
My birthday is on the 23rd ill be 42😒...you should lay down an awesome burn out for me to raise my spirits!! It would absolutely be the most awesome birthday gift
This is my first Brawler. I guess I have no "cons" compared to a normal 750 DP Holley. Others have not shared my same experience. I'm sure the quality is better if get in the better carbs like AED and such.
hey Tim do you like that brawler over the elderblock AV2 you tested, i had 850 Holley then the street demon and now the 800 cfm AV2 nothing is really making me happy the av2 so far in my option and set up is the best on my car, what is your opion Tim, also been thinking twin carb intake maybe even tunnel ram
Have you thought about replacing the stock cam for a cheap 480 lift summit cam. I mean for 178 bucks you can't beat it. You should gain 3 tenths with just that. Also putting a 2800 stall converter will probably help another 2 tenths. With just that you should run low 12s.
@318willrun Do it man!! I want to see that baby blue girl fly lol. My baby blue duster I'm doing a whole other 360 engine now with that cam, speedmaster heads are being delivered today. I'm ordering an torqstorm super charger and ordering holler sniper stealth efi. Hope my 727 can hold up to the torque. I will need to get another stall converter.
Hello I just found out about your channel from just mopar Joe. Got some questions. I about to purchase a 67 Satellite with 55,000 original miles and it still has points and its's 2 barrel totally stock except dual exhaust. I would like to have someone, IAM NOT A MECHANIC so and have someone install Petronix, or electronic ignition. Should I leave it stock? I heard a lot about problems with going to electronic with dependability. I don't plan to hat rodding it I just want reliability but a little more performance. I will someone do the timing suggestions you showed on your video's. Thanks. Joe
Justmoparjoe is a great guy! Nothing wrong with the factory point set up. Finding quality points is a little more difficult. In general, points should probably be replaced/or checked about once a year or every 10,000 miles. Very reliable, easy to learn and can be fixed along the road in minutes. However, many opt for some sort of electronic ignition system.
@@josephvermilyea4202 i have no problem with petronix at all. I actually like the factory electronic a lot too. I have no issues with points as well and means you asked if you should just leave it stock, that is probably what I would do "if it were me". I used to run Blue Streak points . I don't have points in anything at this time. Maybe a set from NAPA would be just fine. I would probably start with that. I have heard some have had issues with the Auto Zone or O'reilly points. I have not run them in years so I cannot say.
Sounds good hopefully you have mineshaft weather on the 22 I know you said it’s been in the 12.90s let see if ya can get in the 80s with the diet she went on.
Tunage everywhere! love it...
Hey Andy!!! It might never be right until you have a chance to set it straight!!! Thanks for watching!
@@318willrun that's a pretty good saying right there! Hope all is well your way! I can't wait to see the Duster in action again
Sounds she had a good sleep over the winter and woke up well rested and raring to go ! Lucked out on the new carb 👍 Good job.
Thanks 👍 Hopefully she's ready and awake come Saturday!
If I had to guess I'd say that you've swapped carbs a time or two! Glad to see it went well right off the get!
Yeah, but the way my luck goes a guy can never be too confident!! Thanks Mike - - - Coronet !!!
Sounds great! Looking forward to seeing it perform!
Yes, we are looking forward to it!
Great looking carb! And great installation!👍
Thanks, we appreciate your kind words!

Thanks!

sorry to hear that, man ! I remember you ran the cuda with your AED. You think it's the passages or the action in the mechanics ?
@@318willrun it didn’t have a hole at all
In the front metering block for fuel to pass through to get to the squirter. Like it was never machined.
I had a318 in a work van that engine is awesome

That would be super cool!!
🚒👍 sounds like the torque converter chocked it taking off, but a win doubt. Looks like it runs good.
Thanks!
Nice looking carb., Hope it works out for you this weekend.
Thanks 👍
Cool! Any plan to get rid of the mechanical fan? The carb swap was too easy. Lol. Have a great week!
I've thought of electrical fans, but I'm so attached to the clutch fans .... ha! Thanks!
What are the cons of the brawler? just not as good quality of what the bodies made of compared to the more expensive double pumpers?

I like the Brawler better in this situation. Some situations may favor the AVS2

forums say a 750 is to large for a 350 360 engine. I have 2 1150 dominators on my 306 small block.
👍🏻
👍
electric fan maybe
