Hello, is the same protection on a Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCI 2009 Zetec, will I not be able to read and write a map throught the OBD port?

You can use obd no problem

@@StevenLewis-HDI-Tuning Oh okay, just in the description of the video it says that the Fiesta Models 2009-2010 have the RSA protection. So I can safely read the map through the obd port.
Do you also offer ready maps for the 1.4TDCI on your website?
I would much prefer pay for a map than do it myself.
      Thanks in advance!

Hi - if i buy a file from your website, can i write it directly to the ecu? - I don't know what i shall do about the checksums, etc, or will it sort itself out if i write a new map onto the ecu? Thanks!

    • @StevenLewis-HDI-Tuning

If you're not sure how all that works then you might want to use our customised online remap service, if you use the file store you need to know you're using the right software variant. Usually all checksums are already fixed its included in the file name, you also need a suitable tool to program the ecu.

@@StevenLewis-HDI-Tuning Hi - Thanks for the prompt answer! I Got a KTAG Clone, and have an EDC17C10 Ecu. I'm gonna open the ECU when i get the time and dump the firmware - My car is a Fiesta 1.6 TDCI 95 HP, but i'm unsure about the model year. When i look it up, it's registered as a 2015 model, but it was a demo model at my dealer, so i'm unsure if that's actually true, might be a 2012-2015 model. Also i don't know if it's a econetic model - It has start/stop, but other than that i don't know to be honest. Is this a problem for the remapping process? If i send you my file, will you be able to figure this out, and return me the correct file? Sorry for the long message!

You might be able to take an ID over OBD using Kess and then we can use a virtual read, if not get a bench read with KTAG. You just email me the file and send payment thorugh my webshop and I'll get the remap back over to you.

hi i have a 2009 ford fiesta 1.6 tdci,i was driving it last week with no problems, then out of the blue a cog light came on which i have been told is the pcm light, the car died and wouldnt start for around 5 mins, eventually got it running and got it home,a friend plugged it in and a p0698 code came up,he said it was throttle pedal,so replaced that also put a new fuel filter after a day or 2 same thing happend,it wouldnt start so i put a forscan on it turned the pcm light off and it started, after 2 hours cut out again so i unplugged egr and it run fine for 2 days then the light came on again even with the egr unplugged,it has no problem starting but once that pcm light comes on the car will not start until i plug forscan into it and clear the p0698 code,is there anyone out there who can help it says sensor reference voltage c circuit low additional fault symptom circuit voltage below threshold......thanks in advance, jon

Trace back the wiring to the pedal, and then which ever relay or board that gets its power from could be the cause too. Ecu fault is possible, but usually its just wiring or even a bad earth that causes faults like these.

I have the exact same problem just now on my 2012 fiesta, code showing throttle pedal, Ive replaced it and still the cog comes on and car goes into limp mode.
Did you manage to fix it? If so how? Any help would be greatly appreciated

maybe the diagnostic description is wrong , and it's for the throttle flap in the intake and not the throttle pedal??
