Cheese can be used in pies as well if you want to make them into meals. It's good, though not as filling as the nearly 5000 calorie cabbage pie
Mmmm cheese pie. Meow you're talking my language. Pies weren't a thing when i made this video I'm pretty sure 🤣
Thanks for this guide. I finally have enough milk to make cheese. :)
You're super welcome! Anytime someone makes cheese my heart warms 😂 and an angel grows its wings... Is what they say...
Going blue or cheddar? 😝
Jerry: “This isn’t a good time.”
Telemarketer: “When would be a good time to call back, sir?”
Jerry: “I have an idea, why don’t you give me your home number and I’ll call you back later?”
Telemarketer: “Umm, we’re not allowed to do that.”
Jerry: “Oh, I guess because you don’t want strangers calling you at home. Well, now you know how I feel.”
Thank you for this! I was having trouble milking and had no idea how to do it. Now I know how to make cheese, too! Just need to find salt. And Bees. 😹
You're super welcome 😀 I'm glad the video helped you out!
Good luck with the bees and salt. They can be rather... Elusive... Haha
Bees are everywhere, but salt? Is saltpeter good for you?
Salt can be a really hard one. I know cats who have played full games without finding it haha.
Saltpeter is used as a fertilizer. Salt appears as halite in the world and you mine it like you do the ores.
Nice
Getting cheesey baby ❤
Can't wait to make some cheese! Now if I could only find some halite..
Halite is the hardest part sometimes 😂😂😂 lol. I hope you find it soon and make that glorious golden cheddar!
Update: I have been through multiple worlds by this point, but on my current world I have indeed found a halite dome and have begun stocking up on glorious golden cheddar!
My man! 2 years later, but you can't rush perfection 😂 God speed brother
Great tutorial, Papa Cheddar.
I have zero problems making cheddar and since 1.14.7 the multiplayer aging bug is fixed so no more spoiling cheeses.
When you use your blue cheese cellar and look at the shelves, what does the preservation rate say? And when you place a cheese on the shelf to become blue cheese, does it give a correct "time to ripen"? I built a lightless chamber, stone walls, and a single block tunnel opening to the surface as per the wiki description. I look at the shelves when in the room and they read .48x. Placing a cheese on a shelf gives a three digit ripening time versus a two digit spoiling time. Is that normal?
Is your "opening from the surface" 2 blocks wide or one? Do you consistently get blue cheese to work in your cellar?
Thanks
Hey there! Thanks for the info on 1.14.7 i didn't know that! Been a while since i been on SMP 😅.
Ill have to check what it says and get back to ya on the specifics. But does it give you a ripening time even after it has ripened?
The opening was 3 blocks high in the video. This was due to a last minute change in the build 😂. I used a trap door on my world, then before i filmed that part i changed it to a gate. The 3 high helps with a trap door so you don't get stuck on it. With 2 high and a trap door you have to crouch to get passed. Forgot to change the height 😅😅😅
I haven't had any issues with blue cheese. Haven't made any in a while and not since recent updates though.
Ill get back to you on the other info asap. 🧀🧀🧀
I was not able to reproduce what you show. I had the fresh for time and the ripening time. which was 39 days on the world i tested. after the 39 days it was blue cheese.
Sorry I don't have an answer for this one you.
does your single block opening go straight up to the sky from your cellar? because this may bring in too much light.
@@PapaCheddar No, it's got three turns in it and the room is completely black without lighting from a lantern. I will try a two block wide opening and see if that changes anything. Thanks for trying.
@@madfidlr1968 that's super weird, I'm sorry i can't help you. Do you have any mods running? Possible a mod is messing with the cheese somehow.
Only other thing I'd try is to make a new cellar. I use the side of a mountain. Just dig your way in.
This channel be growing hella quick. Can't wait for seven days to die alpha 20
We're not doing too bad haha. I can't wait either! Tons of zombies need slaying!
@@PapaCheddar and spanking☝️
@@Arheidi yer darn right there cookie!!!
I wish you could make bree or camembert with field mushrooms or bolete for instance...
No kidding haha. That'd be sweet. We need a modder to do a super cheese mod!
I like the cut of your jib sir!
The game is still in Beta, and I know mushrooms are unfinished. You should make sure this suggestion gets to the proper peeps!
@@PyrrhP that's not a bad idea. I hope they expand on the cheese a lot 😂 but I am rather biased towards cheese.
🧀🧀🧀🧀
Meow we're talking!
If you play on a server, you only get fumunda cheese
🤮🤮🤮
This true though... Happened to me the other day haha
How can you have a sellar with a missing block. It wont count as a sellar anymore. Or Im missing something.
Think it primarily just matters for light level. That's what keeps food tasty in a cellar. Openings don't truly matter i believe.
@@PapaCheddar It does. I tested and when I leave an opening, the food doesnt last as long as without the opening. Not sure if opened trap doors count as an opening though...
In not sure. I don't think it counts as an opening. But I can't recall 😂
Just make a ton of zigs and zags in your cellar hallway for the cheese. Def don't store anything else in there.
@@PapaCheddar I did it lol. Blue cheese doesnt require sellar, only propper light lvl. And the trap door doesnt count as an opening. Blue cheese is actually less sat. than cheddar, but I had to make a few :). Thanks for all the pits btw :)
Wooo! Always a happy occasion when cheese is made! 🤪 It's been some time since I've played VS, unfortunately I've forgotten a ton of stuff lol. Sorry i couldn't be of more help!
Cheese and pits, excellent combo 😆 haha
hey dude, there yuo get picled cucumbers ??? to get salt is problem.....
If you just absolutely can't find salt, there are mods that nake it easier to get. One mod I've seen you take "salt water" and put it in a barrel, it dries out and you're left with salt.
Might be something to consider? Only other thing would be explore and keep your eyes peeled for pinkish whiteish stones lol.
@@PapaCheddar thank you dude !
No problem! Happy to help 😊
I know some cats who haven't found salt in ANY of their worlds lol. Swear its harder than finding iron sometimes 😂
🧀🍕🍺?
Best damn combo known to man right there 😉
