Shepherd Conrad that sounds pretty fuckin douchey. Admittedly I don’t have the whole story, but generally speaking if you betray someone’s trust they don’t stay your “girlfriend” for long.

Drummer is a great player but his touch & dynamics are a little on the heavy side for this bebop style of swing when he is soloing!!!Would have loved to hear a little more dynamic contrast in terms of his touch on his instrument!!!
Given how contemporary this take on Post-pop is, I would argue that the heavy handed style he's using is appropriate. Of course it's a preference, but if you're interested, check out some of what Jeff Watts was doing in the 80s-90s.
You should listen to Tony Williams play this song in Herbie’s live V.S.O.P records from the late 70s. Arguably even heavier then what we hear in this video. Those were the guys who originally recorded this song too (except for Wayne).
Wow that pianist is so relaxed when he’s playing
That drummer melted the paint off of my apartment walls....

The camera work on this is amazing. Great shots and angles! The band is swinging as well.
Une merveille! 50 fois que je l'écoute, c'est à chaque fois bouleversant. J'adore cette version de ce morceau. Magnifique!
