Anyone who thinks "Jazz is Dead" isn't looking or listening. The Art Form is BETTER THAN EVER. So many great young leaders driving the car now. Scott and Pinderhughes among them.
Soulful, musically and philosophically. I had the pleasure of meeting and hearing The Chief in Washington, D.C. The years and gained wisdom are apparent as he explores the universal language, teaching as well as performing.
I simply love the dynamics. Starting a continuous stream thought starting with Crosby, Stills , Nash, & Young, to Miles Davis' interpretation to the present, & into the future. Blessings. 😊
Chief Xian (formerly Christian Scott) and his band mates never cease to amaze me in their craft. Anytime I can see a performance I'm there. Nothing like true artistry.
Loved this performance and a stunning venue. We are excited to support Chief's upcoming album Bark Out Thunder Roar Out Lightning. Release is set forJuly 28 ropeadope.ffm.to/hunaney
I've always thought that intrusmental music is unfettered communication of the soul or divinity. And that songs/lyrics are mental projections and just like the mind/lyrics can present a heaven where there is hell, lyrics/mind can create a hell where the is heaven. I think this music shows you how to feel instead telling you what to feel.
Miles was not at all adverse to using any song he liked as a vehicle for his own voice. He recorded “ Time afterTime” and “Human Nature”. “Guinnnevere” is by David Crosby and was on the first CSN album. I’m sure Miles was listening to everything all the time, heard the beautiful melody, and went with it.
Christian ist akttuell der originellste Horntrumpet player im Einklang mit der schönen und ruhigen Elena (Querflöte) welche sie so fliessend spielt wie selten jemand. Elena hat sich auch als Sängerin einen Namen gemacht,
Man, i Looove Christian, but i wish he'd let his music do the talking. Because every time he does, is a bit cringe. Like he wants to be inspirational but only succeeds at revealing his philosophical nakedness, as all he speaks is an uber corny mix of instagtam personal motivational quotes and pseudo spiritual new agy relativistic concepts. An absolute lack of depth that when paired with the air of prophecy with which he speaks one can not help but to feel the most acutely painful, second hand embarrassment.

Elena ist am originelsten angezogen, aber schön ist es keineswegs

Beautiful shots and playing, but this sync needs work
Problem not in sync - they shot several times for best variants
Simply soothing sexy and relaxing 😌
Anybody know who this new drummer is? What happen to Corey Fonville? Don't tell me you all fired him.
✌

Miles …did Guinevere…this is similar
Sacret
The video and audio doesn't match :/
I don't know what's going on but the editing and performance do not line up. Very poor. Unwatchable.

What matters most, is that he is true to himself, both heart & mind. After all, this his grind, his discipline. His music.
I have to say that I really agree with this.

Mystery where? Because I discovered something that's already here.🧽
