This was a great video. I probably would add that they need to innovate again because iPhone photography seems to be getting better and better. People want small cameras. People want AI. People want photography luts. I’m a Wedding photographer, and I’m just so sick of not being able to see my preset on my photos whilst I’m shooting. Imagine how good casual photography would be if they implemented the same technology that iPhones use. Sony really innovated the mirrorless system but now it just seems like so dated and boring. I’m hoping DJI releases a more conventional full frame camera to shake things up. The other thing that bums me out is that there’s more cameras aren’t really small and then they make pro lenses that have compromises to make them smaller like the 28 to 70 F2. It’s already 900 g but it can’t go to 24 mm so the person who would buy this lens is crippled because they tried to make it lighter. But also you’re not gonna take this lens out of your bag unless it’s professional work because it’s still 900 g. It’s the same with the 85 1.4. They really should’ve made 80 5F1 .2. And released a new 85 F1 .8. The marketing strategy just seems so weird. The other thing that really pisses me off is the vlogging cams - Some don’t even have ibis, and the lenses they released don’t have any iOS either. So many cameras with so little distinction , crappy screen, and could be making cameras for the future but aren’t
Some great points you outlined here man, especially about the lens, I was so upset myself when it wasn't a 24mm at the wide end. Maybe this video needs a part 2 haha. Thanks for watching!
Honestly as a pretty big Sony fan, I clicked on this video fully expecting to not like it, but you actually made some really good points. I bought and FX3 about 6 months ago, and since then I have helped guide 2 friends in the direction of what camera they want to buy. The Sony system with their names makes the researching process infinitely harder. One of my friends was more on the budget side of searching, so I helped them look into models like the a6000 series or the zv series, and it was almost impossible to keep up with. I wish tech companies didn’t feel the need to release a new product every single year. The consumer experience would be so much easier if these tech companies would just put a little more time in making these cameras notably better than their predecessors rather than just cranking out a the same model every year with a slightly different shape and a few more settings
I'm glad you agreed man. I'm a pretty big Sony fan myself so this video isn't meant to demonize the brand at all. Just offering some constrictive criticism for a camera brand I love to use so they can keep improving into the future.
@ 1:25 My Friend, Thank you for pointing this out. I've been saying this for years the A6000 series naming choices are as confusing as the Abbott and Costello bit, Who's on first, but not as comical
You forgot that you can't record 25 and 30 fps in xavs hs. And no excuse for that, the camera can record 24fps in xavs hs but can't 25??? Are you F kidding me Sony? I am new to sony cameras and bought a 6700, when I explored that in the camera menu, I was thinking of returning it. It is so close to perfect but this stupid decision is so annoying!
I think they could've also just called it the "a6" line, just like the "a7" and the "a9" line of cameras. Or just have more distinction between each model. The successor to the a6600 should be the a6600 mark ii and not the a6700.

100% agree with you.

Right, I totally forgot about that. Thanks for pointing it out. Sony just really needs to fix this stuff in software asap.
The A6000 line could have been the Beta line.
