Also, you can’t keep up with the moves... a lot of Americans have just hopped on the gwara gwara which is something we did like 10 years ago, literally every month there’s a new dance.
Crazy part is 90% of people in Southern Africa can dance so effortlessly. It's crazy. From the smallest of children to the adults and everybody inbetween. Weight doesn't even matter. It's like their legs have no bones. But SA dance in particular just slaps different. I looooove house dance in general😍😍😍
It’s pronounced as “ah-mah-piano” ...it’s our music, so with every song a dance is created. Then we mix it up. Some dance styles are old school but we mix it. Dancing is a lifestyle for us.
Dancing really is part of their culture . In happiness in sadness, richness of Poverty… South Africans are still gonna dance . It brings them together and makes them dance away some life challenges . They love their culture
Let me keep this simple. American dancing is more about hitting the beats and hype. With South African dance, the aim is not to sweat, its about being smooth with it.
In South Africa dance is our life bro, nobody can keep up, we don't copy we create our own dances through our music ❤️❤️💯🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦.. so proud It's pronounced Ah-ma-piano
Amapiano is a music genre in SA. And you're correct in saying it's more about the music, dancing is the most lit part of it. Pronunciation : Ar - Ma - Piano
Pronounciation is different for Americans and South Africans. The "A" in Amapiano is pronounced as a sound "Uhh/Ahh" and the "Ma" is "Mahh" so it's "Ahh-mahh-piano"
I've been listning to this music the whole summer (Major League) you have to read the comments to understand what you are watching. First, appreciate that is music is not influenced by American music AT ALL. So it is more freedom of expression. If you notice. NO VIOLENCE, NO DISREPCTING WOMEN. NO COLORISM. just none of the BS that black Americans are bombarded wtih daily. To me it is the most current up todate education we have about the Continent of African and the many languages spoken there. You notice how happy they are? Notice how unified they are. I could be wrong. I doubt it. This music is more than music. It is healing. To see black bodies dance in a land that is theirs in an environment that is the most beautiful in the world with music that is made by men and women in their homes for the most part. I don't even know what the top songs are in the U.S. anymore because a new Amapiano song comes out every 15 seconds. So while you are looking at the moves, appreciate that you are looking at pure African music from the heart w/o any corporate influence. It really is an experience in a return to our roots--where ever that may be.
I'm in S.A.and I can't keep up with the dance moves. Can't even dance to save my life, but I have to say I admire how they dance. Amapiano music is enjoyable!❤ Thanks for the review😊
