Quando Quando Quando - The Songaminute Man - Carpool Karaoke - Alzheimer's Singer Goes Viral
My dad passed with dementia & seeing this makes me remember the “great times”...
True gentleman.💋
Cruel disease good memories bless him x
Dad has a beautiful voice. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him singing this song. Cherish every moment of singing with your dad. My Grandfather has vascular dementia & some of my fondest memories are of getting the old records on & singing with him. God bless you both.
I watched this Story on GMB (Good Morning Britain) then I found this Video. A very moving Story, about how this Man's Son, is doing this with His Dad, to help His Dementia, and also to have some good memories of Him, after He passes. I was in tears *:o(* Whoever has Thumbed down this Vid, must have a Heart of stone!
Did u say he passed away
cutepie330 does msp No. He's still alive atm. His Son is doing this with Him, as it seems to help His memory a bit. Which is obviously a good thing. Sadly though, eventually it will worsen though, and people with Alzheimer's usually do pass over from it. I'm not sure why, but I think it's because the Brain controls everything in your Body, like breathing etc, so as it dies off, then I guess things in the Body start to stop working eventually *:o(* However, it will also leave behind some happy memories of the Dad, for the Family, after He does pass over.
hes just turned 80 hes my uncle
cutepie330 does msp Ok. I don't understand why you thought I had said He had passed over though *O_O* Anyway, I'm just glad He's enjoying Himself singing with His Son *:o)*
Totally agree with you! I just don't get that people have given this superb display of love, admiration and respect both men have for each other. the thumbs down. Heartless...
You two make me want to sing Quando, Quando, Quando everyday!
The world is a better place because of people like you, man!
Especially when there's genuinely lovely people like yourself
Your father helped you to grow and now it's your turn to help him live , bless you my brother you're a good man
HOW CAN PEOPLE NOT LIKE THIS? iT´S JUST. WONDERFULL
Marc Ferrer Hopefully they held their phones up side down.....
Marc Ferrer That's right!
Exectly!
Because some people just can't wait to hate everything.
It says 204 dont like this. Thats baffling they must seriously lead miserable lives. Somon and his Dad are amazing
I have watched this before and it still warms my heart. So touching
the joy on his sons face is priceless...... great memories for sure
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed that ....God bless them
You made me cry. My dad died last year aged 94. We had a great relationship and I love how you and your dad are connected. We don't have them forever. Bless you both.
This never gets old. One of my favorite videos.
My dearest mother very sadly passed away last year following a 12 year battle with dementia. Even on the worst of days she loved to sing & was word perfect when singing along to her favourites, Jim Reeves & Roy Orbison. Doctors are baffled as to why a patient can recall song lyrics or name an entire football team from the past yet fail to recognise a loved one. Keep singing Ted & very best wishes to you & your family.
+711honved i hear you.I lost both my parents to Alzheimers and yet even though at times they had no idea who i was if you put on a cd of their favourite songs they knew every lyric as they sang along...
Meg B mmmn
711honved When we visit someone at a nursing home, my husband will usually sit down at their piano and play hymns or old standards. The residents gather in and sing along and look so happy.
711honved ibrill
711honved Thank you for sharing.
This is like car karaoke. Love it. I can see where the son gets his good looks from! Bless you for caring and looking after your dad. Isn't music great?
The way the son looks at his father brings a tear to my eye. Because my dads no longer here!
I listen to this video several times a day. I love your dad's singing, Simon. and I love the way YOU love your dad. It shows in your eyes and smile every time you look at him.
❤
I miss my singhing dad❤️❤️
Englebert Humperdink posted this on his page! and wrote the following..........Pure sunshine for the soul!
Donna Bermano Thank you for the info. Until two days ago, I had never heard the name Quando, much less the song. What does it mean? Where did it originate? Father and Son Duo- Fabulous!!
@@brandyf1932 Quando is the Spanish word for "when," somewhat translated in the lyrics as "Tell me, when will you be mine?" ;)
Dear Mr.Mac
I saw you and your son on Japanese TV program.
I was so touched about the relationship between you and your family, especially your son.
Every morning I listen to your song and make me happy and encourage myself.
Thank you!!
Lots of love from Japan,
Kumiko & Megumi
This is so great! And I guess I just fell in love with the son.....;-)
He's handsome, beautiful smile, good voice and good loving son.
dad is hot too :) I'm an old gramma so I can say that lol.
Yes, we can let you get away with that Terri *;-)*
LOL yes!
Tell me about it! Is he just gorgeous and delicious, or what??? Seems like such a sweet, loving guy, and that bod, ohhh. I want him for Christmas : )
My first RUclips comment post ever! Perhaps it is because it the only one that has warranted it.
Goosebumps, misty-eyes and a very loud singalong that I dearly hope annoyed my neighbors!!
I'm 42, my daughter is 19, and this is what we do whenever the occasion calls for it, or doesn't. I hope she reads this post (not likely) because no matter what, the music brings us together and I hope this continues until my twilight years!!!
We recently visited my 94 y/o Nana, and all it took was a word or slight phrase and we all broke out in a song from The Sound of Music. It transported us all, she included to another time and place, and was the best medicine imaginable.
My cheeks hurt from smiling. :) Thank you so much for sharing.
That's lovely , I'm glad you and your family sing along and have fun. Watching these two lifts my heart. x
Omg the son is stunning I'm in love
Ooh err.
He's probably gay
MartyvH yeah coz all attractive males are gay is that it? You've probably been watching too much gay porn lol
so adorable. miss my dad even more
how often do you see a 40something straight guy with such muscular physique and with stylish hairstyle?????? straight guy look starts to go down after 35.
Was feeling a bit down, missing my girl who passed away. Needed something to bring a smile to my face. Played this video again, found my smile. God Bless you both.
How can people not like this? It's beyond me because if they knew the story they wouldn't press that down thumb. Beautiful to watch and hear.
This is the best version of Quando on RUclips!
Well done. It is lovely seeing you both enjoy the music :-)
Crystal Clear Maths Agreed!!
This is so sweet, it makes me wanna cry. Two handsome men too.
I love their talking during the instrumental part
Love, love, love this.......each time I come back, love it more than time before. Your dad is so talented; however, it is both of you singing together, the love of a son and father for each other.....his illness and how much joy you send out to the rest of us. Thank you.
Ea Beaton Eloquently put.
I’ve watched this many times ober the years. Love it so much. Your joy gives me joy and nolstalgia. I miss my dad. Hope you are both well. Much love to you both for the joy you have given so many.
I have watched this over and over and over Bless his son and such good memories he will have someday. Bless them both!
💕😄日本人です。素晴らしい歌と、親父さんと息子に乾杯🍻‼‼
I just love this video. A moment of clarity for a man with dementia. Music brings him home!
My dad suffered with dementia I know how hard it is to live with a loved one living with this, this video makes me think back to the good times. I miss him so much, I feel I did everything I could to care for him but he sadly passed 6 years ago now but watch ling this makes me think to the better times we had together, thanks for posting
I absolutely love this. My dad died 6 years ago with Alzheimer's disease. Music was one of the few joys he had. Thank you for bringing awareness and raising money for research. Your dad is brilliant. He has raised a fine son.
Still one one of my favorite songs and I am a zeppelin fan❤❤❤❤so Awesome I love it❤
I love how you have found something so beautiful in something so difficult! These fantastic memories will help you through the really dark days of Alzheimer's
Dimmi quando tu verrai!! Grandiosa coppia
This is the second singing video I've seen. He sings so beautifully and powerfully. I wish him all the best.
テレビで見た時の衝撃が忘れられなかった。
I Could not forget shock when I saw it on TV.
なんて素敵な歌声!
What a wonderful singing voice!
I love the son's idea, my beloved mom suffered from this illness, very touching and emotional
I am going to watch this every time I need cheering up!! I have never been so happy to see two strangers singing their hearts out. Just perfect!! Well done guys!! Keep spreading happiness everywhere!!! Sending love to you both and to everybody listening to you sing!! Love and happiness makes the world go round!! This is just so beautiful to watch! ❤ well done!!!
Hello,
My name is Charlotte and I work for the Telegraph newspaper in London.
We'd like to use this video on our website (www.telegraph.co.uk) with full credit given to you.
Could you please let us know by emailing newstv@telegraph.co.uk?
Many thanks for your time,
Charlotte
Grab dat cash, boi.
What's your problem Doogie H???? You need to *Chill Out* and show people some *RESPECT!* God forbid, but this could be *you* One day!
just ignor the ignorance,,,,,,,,please! they are so pathetic to even make comments, right! I love love love this VID, reminds me of my DAD, OMG, how he loved to sing, I can close my eyes and go back several years and see Dad singing !! He was a crooner.....♥♥♥!!!
I think his anger was directed at The Telegraph wanting to use the video for free, then make money out of the subsequent views and advertising revenue on their site.
stujyork It could be because of that I guess yes.
I'm a huge fan.. every video that comes out I share in my f. b. page... what a great son... look how hapoy his dad is when he's singing... love it
You're both great, guys. What a wonderful gift are your voices.
I am sure I have watched this video at least 25 times I just really really enjoy it........
This melts my heart.
Absolutely amazing. Brought me to tears.
Absolutely brilliant, 3 minutes of pure gold. I do hope both driver and passenger (songaminuteman) made many more...
I didn't know the story, I just like Englebert Humperdink and ended up here. I loved this it made me smile alot. Then I discovered the story. I dunno what to say really, but I think you both have an amazing relationship with each other and I wish you both the very best.
Used to sing with my mom after she had lost her ability to talk due to Parkinson's. But she could sing! She was a trained vocalist with perfect pitch...could sing notes she'd never sung. She trained me and told me I was singing before I was talking. Anyway, I have a video of her and me singing, "Chicago," just a few months before she died. It was a joy to sing with her, so I understand the joy this young man is having with his father.
Post it
0:52 - 1:04 when Simon just gives way to the pro in his dad Tony who seems to have a flashback and easily switches up to another level where Simon couldn't follow but then still calls his son back in. Respect! Great clip of father & son bond, even in difficult times, still watched 3 years later. Best wishes to all.
たった今あなた親子の物語を日本のテレビ番組で見ました
とても感動し そして泣きました。
あなた達親子の幸せを日本から祈っています。
I just watched your family (history) story in Japanese TV program.
I was very touched and cried so much about your story. I lost my mother when I was 26 ( now 36) and I couldn't do anything When she was dying.
I hope your family gonna be very happy and have no regret in your Life.
(My English is bad but i wanted to send message anyway )

いつ聞いても楽しい
The son is handsome, he is so lovely. xx
FANTASTIC!
Searched this video after reading an article on a newspaper that this gentleman has got a recording deal. I can't wait to buy his single. A very moving video put me in tears. Well done to the son as well 👏👏👏👏
Absolutely amazing voices brilliant ❤
This is a feel good video.. Tried to do a playlist for our Alzheimer Mom and didn't get the same results... Will pursue our research on what songs could "talk to her"
Thanks for a great moment of life
Pick a song, she likes. I work with People with Alzheimer and the songs they know and like, that one they will sing quicker. Goodluck! Maybe the 70's?
I totally believe that about songs! I forget so much, I really do, names, and such, due to multiple surgeries and just my age I suppose, I'm in my 60's , however, if I'm driving and I got the radio on, and a song comes on that I haven't heard in 40 yrs, or MORE, I sing it word for word,,,,,, AMAZING!!!!
msred boot Yeah it is amazing.. Just keep trying. My dad forget who i am alot. its hard to see. But then we talk about his work because he can talk alot about his work.. You will have to find a way in this progres.
I Lianne Veldhuis
Danielle Trudel just find things she likes to do it may not be singing maybe painting or coloring hope you find something
They sing well together, enjoying these clips
What a love that man shows for his dad brilliant
Wonderful ❤️
Bless you. You are a patient and loving son. We need more people like you
EXCELENTE, INTERPRETACIÓN, PERO LO QUE MAS ME ENCANTA ES EL AMOR A TU PADRE, QUE DIOS LOS BENDIGA Y SIGUE DISFRUTÁNDOLO.
love it, love it, both of you are having a ball, keep up the good work with your dad, the memories will last forever.
my dad, who has dementia, and I are about the same ages as your dad and you. next time we are having a dark day I will play this and remember I am not alone in the struggle against these awful diseases! thank you both.
You are both amazing. A really beautiful story. I am losing the Father I knew due to Alzheimers. Week by week I lose him more - a terrible thing. To see you and your Father enjoying each other's company and the obvious pleasure he gets from singing is magical. A million 'thumbs up' to you both.
yorkschris Stay Strong!
No me canso de repetir... ¡Bravo!
How come I've never heard this song before? (And I love songs from this era). I love this duo! I've worked with Alzheimer's sufferers for the past 12 years and it's amazing what music does to some of them. It unlocks their brains like you wouldn't believe.
I worked as a carer for 36 years many years ago a lady who had a severe stroke lost her speech she would get so upset and frustrated trying to talk, I was putting her in bed one night and started singing "what,ll I do" to get to my amazement she joined in with the most beautiful voice, she choked me with tears and she carried on singing bless her. Evelyn wherever you are with the angels now keep on singing xxx
I'm an ex barrel chested war hero and I've just cried like a child, thank you for reminding me that there is love left in this country.
I came here to watch this video this Sunday morning. I hope your father is fine my friend .
Ahh thanks - yeah he's OK - though so so confused now. It's a terrible illness. Thankfully he's still at home though and as well as can be. Thanks for asking.
@@TheSongaminuteMan Please convey our love and best wishes to your father. All the best for you and your family .
I love this!!! I used to sing with my dad on Sunday's after church along with the "Ray Coniff Singers", Tennessee Earnie Ford, Frank Sinatra and many other singers.... it was truly wonderful, and so much fun!
I so love watching...brings hope to families who are going through the same as your family. Ted is an amazing singer and it does not matter what age he has got it at as you will all have this memory forever. Brings so much happiness to watch him and anybody that gives negative comments is just jealous and malicious....well done Ted and everybody loves you x
I've already commented on this song so many times, Simon, but this may just be my favorite one of you and your Dad. Teddy just really belted it out in here and one cannot help but feel a sense of joy and peace when watching this particular video. Love to you and your family always.💜💜💜💜💜
I watched a tv program in Japan yesterday. I was touched by him, his story and his family. I shed a tear so much. Thank you for singing to me.
the best feeling you can have between father and son. how great is this! Really beautiful to see, thanks!❤🍀❤🍀❤
This is fantastic, it's hard to see someone you care about stop recognising you. The small glimpses of lucidness make all the good memories come back.
Grandpa is so awesome. Love his voice
Such good memories!
M husband has Alzheimer's we spend so much time singing together and he loves it. My mother also had Alzheimer's and her favourite time was when she could sing along with someone. So many lovely memories are created in that way
やっぱ メチャ上手い!これ、車で歌ってるから更に見てる人も臨場感を満喫できると思う!
Please release this, it is the best version ever! I love this video for every reason going. Hope you make tons of cash and huge love to your Dad x
I discovered this beautiful video this precious beautiful loving video several years ago. I was able to share it with my precious mom before she passed at the age of 98 in 2020. Even now, in July 202 it brings tears to my eyes. Happy joyful tears. Thank you so much.
This makes me smile every time I watch it a great 0beautiful memory to have

I lost my father in 05.02.2017. The day I lost him also my 42. birthday. First time I watch this video he was alive and he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease three years ago. When I miss my dad I watch this video. It makes me feel better. Thank you Teddy and Teddy's son.
He doesn't like that seatbelt....ahahahaha! Love you guys!😍
Dad is gorgeous! My Mum used to sing on the radio in the 1940s and a few days before she died (she was not speaking at all) she started singing one of the songs from back then. My husband who just died last month, was a guitarist and singer and the day before he died, he sat up and mimicked playing the guitar and sang one of his favourite songs perfectly. You're so lucky your Dad is still here and can enjoy these beautiful moments; he looks and sounds amazing. Thank you for sharing your Dad and that wonderful performance! XO
I can't stop smiling as I watch this.. And you actually know the words to the song huh? PS, your Dad is adorable, you're not bad either! Hehe ;)
Cantan hermoso..
Makes life worth living. AMAZING !!!!!!!!
How times have changed.
I love this video and i love Spanish eyes. My aunt used to sing and she had the same disease as your father, watching this brings back the nice memories of her singing. I enjoy watching this and singing along with it please keep up the beautiful videos :)
Amazing song , it nice to see the old man singing, it is so great to see the old man so happy in life .
